Great home for a family trip and gorgeous location! The house was very clean, the beds comfy and it was so relaxing to listen to the sounds of the Sandy River and see it flowing by from the hot tub on the back patio. The house had everything we needed - the cozy extra blankets on the couch and beds were especially appreciated on an unusually cold and stormy June weekend. Our host was very responsive. We had an outstanding stay and would absolutely recommend this property to anyone visiting the Mt. Hood area. The home was spotless, well-maintained, and had everything our family needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of space for everyone to relax after a day of exploring.The location was perfect—peaceful and surrounded by beautiful scenery, while still being conveniently located for hiking, sightseeing, and getting to nearby attractions. It made an excellent home base for our Oregon vacation.Communication with the host was exceptional from start to finish. Check-in was simple, instructions were clear, and the host was responsive and helpful whenever we had a question.We especially appreciated all of the thoughtful touches throughout the home that made it feel welcoming and comfortable. It's obvious the owners take pride in providing a great experience for their guests.We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and would gladly recommend this property to family and friends. Great spot for a quiet weekend getaway. I felt it was even better in person than I thought it would be from the photos. It was just two of us, so we didn’t use the other two bedrooms, but the master was great. Not having en-suite bathrooms would not have been ideal if we’d been traveling with others, but everything else outweighs that imho. We loved lounging in front of the fire and heading down to the river for coffee in the morning. Would definitely return.

The cabin is in a perfect location. Only a few houses from the main road but you can't hear any of the traffic because of the river. It's perfect. Loved having the Beautiful view. Our adult children came to stay with us and they had a fabulous time. Just a short drive to the grocery store restaurants and to several hikes. I highly recommend old Salmon River hike which is extremely close for a easy hike through the woods. There was lots of amenities although we had to search for some of them. But in the end we had everything we needed. The hot tub was great but we had to work a little bit with the chemicals in the beginning to clear up the water which is why I gave four stars for cleanliness. It would have been nice if that water would have been changed out before we came. The owner was very receptive when we had an issue. Nothing wrong with the cabin. An animal had just gotten into the garbage but he was very quick to come and remove it so it wouldn't happen a second night. Would definitely stay again. It was perfect for a nice spot to hang with family.

I grew up on a farm/ranch in Montana and grew to love mountains and nature. I've spent most of my life in the PNW and enjoy skiing, biking, hiking and relaxing in nature. I've spent many years in the hospitality business and like to ensure positive experiences for all.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Its location just an hour from my home in Portland which makes quick getaways easy. I love its location along the Sandy River and all the cedar and fir trees and the soothing sounds of nature. Plus there are many great restaurants and a grocery store within a few miles. It's location has great things to offer year round and is a great base camp for exploring Mt Hood.

I put a lot of time and effort into remodeling and furnishing it to stand out from the rest. My family loves it and I hope you will too!
