Venez profiter de notre maison récemment rénovée de 1 500 pieds carrés sur le lac Kangourou. Cette maison conserve son charme d'origine des années 1940 avec le foyer en pierre classique du comté de Door (non fonctionnel), les murs en cèdre et les planchers en bois. La maison peut accueillir confortablement 8-12 personnes avec 4 chambres et 2. 5 salles de bains. La salle à manger offre une vue sur le lac et peut accueillir 12 personnes. Il y a beaucoup d'espace pour les repas en plein air, les jeux sur la pelouse et la détente. * Télévision par satellite et WiFi fournis *.

La chambre principale au premier étage a un lit queen, sa propre salle de bain privée et un patio face au lac. L'étage comprend 3 chambres et une autre salle de bain complète. La première chambre a 2 lits jumeaux, la deuxième chambre a un lit complet, et la grande troisième chambre qui fait face au lac a un lit queen et un futon complet. Il y a aussi un canapé-lit queen dans le salon et une demi-salle de bain au premier étage. La cheminée est belle mais ne fonctionne pas.

Le lac Kangourou est un lac alimenté par une source de 1 156 acres d'une profondeur maximale de 12 pieds. Attrapez le poisson du quai, de la chaussée ou de l'un des bateaux fournis (canot, kayak, planche à pagaie et bateau de pêche). Le fond sablonneux du lac est idéal pour patauger et jouer dans l'eau. La température de l'eau est agréable et chaude d'environ 15 degrés de plus que le lac Michigan.

* Le quai sera installé vers le 20 mai et sera retiré vers le 15 octobre de chaque année. Si vous choisissez de rester avant le 20 mai, le quai et le bateau de pêche ne seront pas disponibles. Le canot, le kayak et le paddleboard seront toujours disponibles. *

La maison du lac est à quelques minutes d'un terrain de golf, de restaurants, de brasseries, d'établissements vinicoles, de boutiques et de divertissements. Il y a beaucoup à faire dans le comté de Door, mais vous pouvez vous contenter de passer la journée à la maison du lac, jouer dans l'eau, faire du bateau, du canoë, du kayak, du paddle board, de la pêche ou simplement vous détendre. À la fin de la journée, profitez du coucher de soleil sur le lac ou assis près du feu de camp.

Short Reunion with Kangaroo Lake

We vacationed on Kangaroo Lake every summer for 20 years at another place— East Shorewood Cottages. We loved it, but it was summer only and the cottages are small. It was wonderful to revive memories of a beloved lake in this wonderful house, large enough for our adult children and partners. We had some WiFi issues, but Ryan was super responsive. Highly recommend.

Great Door County rental

Everything was great. The location was perfect right on the water, we loved the access to the kayaks and paddle boards, and also spent some great time around the firepit.

Family time in Door County

A little mix up with the cleaning schedule when we got there, but the owners responded immediately and got the cleaners out there. The rest of the weekend was perfect. Cute cottage that was extremely well appointed. I don't think there was one thing that we needed, that the house did not provide. Would definitely recommend this property.

Wonderful weekend, great property

Our 6 family members thoroughly enjoyed staying at this beautiful home. The location was fantastic, close to things to do, yet quiet and serene when we wanted to rest and recharge. Although it is Fall, we took advantage of the canoe and had fun taking turns around the lake. The property was extremely clean and well-equipped with anything you’d really need for cooking and lakeside activities. Also, I haven’t slept this well in probably years. Thank you, Thank you! :) we hope to make it back again.

Only one thing missing

The property is amazing, and very well maintained. The only thing I would change is that towels be included. I hadn’t read the description closely enough and we had to make an emergency shopping trip to get towels. I can’t really understand why this wouldn’t be included in the amenities. I personally wouldn’t want to pack towels for a large family. This, to me, is a basic amenity. Other than that it was a perfect stay!!

Post Labor Day Get Away

We are 3 retired couples wanting to explore Washington & Rock Islands, Bailey’s Harbor, Sister Bay, Ephraim & Fish Creek. All were within a short distance from the cabin. There were many dining options and wineries nearby. Cabin was clean & as described. The stairway to 3 bedrooms upstairs is steeper & narrow & may be difficult for some guests. The fans upstairs were a Blessing during the rainy nights when windows could not be open. The garage was nice to store our bikes. We enjoyed our stay.

Casual fun for everyone on the lake

Our family of nine very much enjoyed the stay, our second year in a row here. The lake is clear and beautiful! Some people fished from the rowboat, while others used stand up paddle boards and still others kayaked. It's close to good hiking, and the bicycling was excellent -- nicest roads I've encountered anywhere with very little traffic. The kitchen is over-stocked with small to medium cookware, so we usually bring a large stockpot, a couple of loaf pans, and a large bowl for salads, etc. Other than that, it has everything we needed. Hosts are responsive to text/email.

Family fun on the water

This was better even than we anticipated. We made good use of the kayak and stand up paddleboards included. The lawn was big enough to accommodate our badminton set. The table/dining area easily accommodated our family of nine. Two of our kids spent a lot of time fishing from the adjacent causeway. We also enjoyed reading beneath the shady tree and watching the lake. It's close to several good places to hike, too. We will strongly consider returning! Maureen answered questions promptly.

Great Family Vacation Spot

We had a wonderful stay! Two families - 4 adults, 3 teens and 2 seven year olds. It was a comfortable amount of space for 9 people. We were super impressed with how well the kitchen was stocked, and with the variety of equipment for outdoor activities. The paddle boards were a huge hit! We also utilized the board games & toys every day. We had milder temps in the 70s all week, so the upstairs AC window unit in one bedroom cooled the upstairs very quickly at night. We were two separate family units and closed the bedroom doors while sleeping. It would likely get very warm in the other 2 bedrooms on super hot days/nights unless app bedroom doors were kept open. The cabin was fairly clean. We found some places that had not been cleaned well before we arrived. The long dining table with ample seating was also awesome to have for meals and playing games. Overall, we recommend the Lakeside Cabin for your family vacation!

Sibling getaway

We are very pleased with the location, we were able to go out to restaurants within 10 to 15 minutes of the place and including one just a half a mile from it. It’s very relaxing, quiet, we had a great time.

Fall Vacation

Wonderful location in Door County and quiet being away from the "hustle" of the small towns, while still being close and easy access to everything! Clean and well-stocked house, with lots of amenities. Would definitely stay here again!

great getaway

This a great lakefront property and really nice home. If the weather had been a little better, the outdoor area would’ve been fantastic to enjoy. Beautiful views of the lake. Having little ones, I really appreciated that this home had a lot of items for kids too. Property owners were very responsive, accommodating and easy to work with. would definitely recommend staying here and would love to stay here again in the future.

We love this place!

Second time we have stayed here. Property is so cute, and it includes everything you would need. The lake is so clear and clean. The location is awesome as well. Very short drive to any of the other towns. We will be back for sure.

Kangaroo Lake Getaway

Lovely and peaceful setting with a well-equipped kitchen and every entertainment need provided. We hated to leave, but left relaxed and restored. Perfect for water activities and access to all that Door County has to offer! Our hosts were attentive and responsive. We look forward to renting again!

Multi Family Get Away

We enjoyed our time at the Lakeside Cabin. Over all it was a wonderful stay. We loved being able to canoe and kayak right in the back yard and loved having a fire at the end of the day. We didn't realize the property was right off a main road. So we were a little bummed about that, but did enjoy the walking distance to Coyote Roadhouse (which we totally recommend)! The cleanliness of the house over all was good, but I'm not sure the floors were mopped. It felt very dirty and our feet/socks were pretty dirty as well. But those things I would say weren't too big of an issue to say to not rent this place again. All the other details made our trip great. The communication between the owners and us was also amazing! They were quick to respond and super helpful. I even left my DSLR camera by accident and they are willing to help get that back to me. Thank you so much for opening your home to allow us to make some memories as a family.

Peaceful lake front wonderland!

First of all, the hosts are fabulous. They responded to questions quickly, communicated clearly and had everything ready for our arrival… including having the dock, boat and water toys ready for us to experience Kangaroo Lake completely, even though it was early in the season. So much appreciated. They also gave tons of information about the home and surrounding area restaurants, attractions, parks, etc…and recommended many “must see” locations on the peninsula that greatly helped with planning our time there. Nicely centrally located to be able to get anywhere on the peninsula quickly and with ease. We are from California and very familiar with beautiful scenery but Door County did not disappoint! We were 9 adults ranging from 31 to 71 years old and all of us had a great time exploring all the area had to offer. The cottage is cozy, kitchen well equipped and the huge dining room table accommodated all of us for meals and story telling. We spent a lot of afternoons in the grassy backyard, sitting in colorful Adirondack chairs soaking up the sun, grilling dinner and enjoying the peaceful isolation and each other’s company. A beautiful location for a family to gather! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us.

Great long weekend

We had a wonderful long weekend for my bachlorette party, the property was well maintained, great backyard area with plenty of seating. We loved having fires at night! The double kayak, SUPs, and canoe were great for our group to get out on the water (which was very clean!), and the yard had a perfect view of the sunset. The location was also great for going to wineries and state parks, most things were about 15 mins away or less. Would definitely return in the future!

Beautiful waterfront property on the "quiet" side of the peninsula but centrally located to everything that Door County has to offer. Kangaroo Lake is a sandy warm lake which is great for swimming, fishing, boating, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding, etc.
