We had a wonderful stay! The home was clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintainedâexactly as described. The location was perfect for a relaxing getaway, and the hosts were responsive and kind. Weâd absolutely stay here again!
Kitchen was very well stocked, and even included a crock pot and a KitchenAid stand mixer. As we made breakfast and dinner each day of our stay, the kitchen amenities were greatly appreciated! The location of this home is wonderful, as it is down a dead end road, ending at Lake Michigan. Very quiet and beautiful area. Lisa, the host, was right on top of things, and texed me to ensure I didn't have any questions or needs. Great place to stay!
We had a great end of summer family vacation at this cozy cabin! It has a perfect Door County location that is close to the lake, nature trails, and neighboring towns. There are nice restaurants, cafes, and shopping close by too. The cabin is dog friendly and had everything we needed to feel at home! We enjoyed coffee on the porch and the living room fireplace on cool nights!Weâd love to book again!
We were very impressed with the cleanliness, updating, and maintenance of this roomy log home. It had everything we needed, and then some. The beds were super comfortable, the location was quiet and peaceful, yet central to everything in Door County. Our five days went by way too fast, and we can't say enough good things about the property or the host, who was attentive and responsive to our every question and need.
Beautiful cabin on a dead end street. There was 7 of us taking by a family vacation to Door county and this place was absolutely perfect! There was plenty of room for all of us and the place was very clean! The fire pit in the back was a great place for us all to hang out in the evenings. The porches were also very nice to enjoy coffee in the morning! Would love to stay here again!
Absolutely wonderful cabin in the woods! Lisa is a wonderful host. We had a welcome basket of goodies awaiting us, wine, chocolates, coffee etc. Several brochures and books about the local area were laid out as well. The home was clean and very well stocked. You can easily see the owners take pride in the home as it is well maintained. I enjoyed my morning coffee on the porch and walked a short distance to view the lake. We had a wonderful stay.
The house was beautiful and the property just like we imagined. Property Manager communicated before, during and after our stay to make sure our needs and expectations were met. She let a gift basket with some local products which was a great surprise! There were also maps and books available to help us plan our week. The 10 year old with us actually put down her electronics to play one of the board games available. The beds were very comfortable and lots of space to just sit and relax. We loved staying at the house and would love to stay again in the future.
We had a great time - The home is beautiful. While the house may sit on three acres it is right off of the main highway so there is pretty constant road noise in the background. The outdoor area is perfect - the fire pit, picnic table and grill makes it a wonderful outdoor living area to spend those Wisconsin summer days. Note that before the 10am checkout time there is a pretty long list of chores to do even though the listing has a cleaning fee and an envelope is left for tipping the housekeepers (cleaning the whole kitchen including wiping out the fridge, stripping all the beds, washing the towels, taking out the trash, etc.)
The fireplace was very nice on cooler evenings. Having Lake Michigan at the end of the dead end road we were on was great! One small suggestion would be some new pillows, at least for the loft bedroom. We were very comfortable and had a great time. Lisa got back to us right away when we had questions and checked in with us on arrival. Thanks for the great stay!
Amazing cabin! Everything was spotless, comfortable, and exactly as described. The location was perfect for a relaxing getaway, and the host was easy to communicate with. Highly recommend.
Beautiful log cabin in a quiet area. The house was perfect for us - clean, well-stocked, comfortable furniture and beds, roomy, lovely view and very quiet and peaceful. The owner is very helpful and easy to reach. We enjoyed walking to the lake and sitting on the porch. Close to so many restaurants and other points of interest. Just a perfect house for us. We would highly recommend and hope to return next summer.
Everything we wanted and more! This home is absolutely beautiful. Lisa has gone above and beyond to include any little thing you may need to make the stay perfect. Plenty of extra blankets, pillows, grilling tools, you name it. The location is tranquil and an easy drive to many amazing attractions. Lisa gave us an extensive list of places to see and places to eat that the locals enjoy most. We will come back again as a family to finish off the list, kick back and enjoy the amazing hospitality and comfort that this home offers.
We booked this cabin because it welcomed our 2 âdoodlesâ and would sleep all 6 of us for our 3 night stay. I have been coming to Door County for the last 15 years, but this was our first time staying on the âlake sideâ of the peninsula. There was lake access .8 mile down the road that gave us some great views of sunrise. We took in most of our favorite places: Plum Bottom Gallery, Edgewood Orchard Gallery, Wood Orchard store, Fish Creek and Popelka-Trenchard Glass. We couldnât miss Wild Tomato Pizza or White Gull Inn for breakfast. The weather was perfect for grilling out, enjoying sâmores and just relaxing. The cabin had everything we needed and I would definitely recommend this cabin to friends.
We loved our stay; itâs in a private area but close enough to everything youâd want to do in Door County. Would recommend to anyone who wants a cabin stay away from everyone but close enough to do all the restaurants and shops.
This home was a perfect fit for our family of 7, along with Grandma, to spend the Thanksgiving holiday. The description online was very accurate. The home was clean and welcoming. The kitchen was fully stocked. Lisa, the host, lives nearby and is very responsive to any questions or issues. Beds were comfortable and plenty of towels. Fireplace was so nice. Great stay.
My brother and I recently purchased this beautiful home from our mother. This is the house we grew up in and we couldnât bear to see it be sold. My brother and I are both year round residents here in Baileys Harbor. My bother Todd, owns Lakeshore Adventures in Baileys Harbor and also builds custom homes. I have worked as a registered nurse for the past 23 years.
This beautiful home was built by my parents in 1976. My brother and I recently purchased this home from our mother because we wanted to keep the house in our family. We have so many wonderful memories growing up here. My brother Todd and I still both reside here in the Baileys Harbor area and we couldnât imagine living anywhere else. We share a great love of outdoor activities which are in abundance here. In the summer we enjoy fishing, kayaking, hiking on nature trails, swimming at the beaches, boating and horseback riding to name a few. The falls brings extraordinary colors as the leaves change to yellow, orange and red. The air is crisp and we enjoy sitting by a campfire in the evenings with friends. In the winter months the beauty of the landscape is breathtaking. Life slows down in the winter and we have more time for quiet reflection and to regenerate ourselves. We enjoy activities such as cross country skiing, ice fishing, snowshoeing and curling up by the fire with a good book.
This house is constructed of solid logs which makes it very unique and charming. It is a great place to relax and unwind and spend time with family and friends.
