I loved the neighborhood and close proximity to good transportation. Like other reviewers I had a little bit of trouble communication initially, but it all worked out and the stay was very comfortable. Would happily stay here again. There are a lot of stairs, so if mobility is a challenge keep that in mind.
The flat was conveniently located, clean, and comfortable. Another guest noted it was noisy-this is true! But thatâs what you get for the great location. Everyone very pleasant to deal with in arranging check in. One thing though- no curtains means itâs very bright 24 hours a day, even in the bedroom! The pictures showed there was a blind in the bedroom, but there was no blind!
This was our second time at this property, we love the location, very close to everywhere we wanted to go. Flat lovely has everything you need, if you don't mind a few stairs this place is lovely
This Kentish Town flat was conveniently located right across the street from the Kentish Town underground station, making it very easy to access anywhere youâd like to go! Even though this flat is located on a busy street, the noise levels were surprisingly manageable, especially when youâre in the bedroom with the door closed.
The flat itself is clean and spacious for 2 people. We did not do any cooking, so Iâm not sure how well the kitchen is equipped. The one downside of this flat is that the bathroom is on the smaller side, with a smaller than average toilet, making it somewhat uncomfortable.
Communication with the host was always timely, informative and pleasant. If youâre looking for a decent place in the Kentish Town area , this definitely fits the bill!
We stayed at Valeria's Kentish Town spot for just about a month. During the period of our stay where we were entirely on vacation, the place earned 4 to 5 stars. However, we also spent a few weeks where we had to work remotely, and the place earned 2-3 stars for that use.
Pros:
Even with the nearby Tube station closed, it was easy to get around thanks to the Thameslink and multiple bus lines
Lots of restaurants, cafes, pubs, and grocery stores were within a few minutes walk.
The place was relatively spacious with nice finishes
The kitchen and appliances were high quality.
John, the property manager attempted to assist us with the issues promptly when informed.
Cons:
Unfortunately the Kentish Town Tube station that was across the street was closed for construction for the duration of our stay, and was slated to still be closed for months after.
The hot water system did not support hot showers for more than 6 minutes before the temperature became lukewarm. Also, the water temperature needed constant adjustment mid-showering ( indicating a worn-down valve)
Wifi was unstable and unable to get through a single Zoom call without freezing - which is fine for personal calls, but not for professional calls.
No suitable chair+desk for WFH purposes (and no TV or other monitor)
Garbage bags, toilet paper, dishwasher pods, laundry pods, etc. were provided for only a few days worth.
No curtains existed for the exterior windows, providing limited privacy.
I appreciated the time I stayed at the flat. A good, working kitchen and spacious rooms. Nearby restaurants and grocery stores are handy, and the buses can take you easily into central London. Itâs also an easy walk to Camden and Primrose Hill. You can take the bus up to Hampstead Heath and enjoy the nature, too. A good location overall with much to do!
To note: the blinds in the photos are currently not installed, which does allow light to filter through at earlier, less desired hours, and thereâs a less privacy.
With the light filtering in as the day goes on, it does get much warmer in the flat, so itâs best to keep the windows openâŠThough it does filter in more outside noise from the busy street. Being that it is almost above the Sainsbury grocery store, you can hear the noise from the supply trucks, loading and unloading in the night, which can wake you if youâre a light sleeper.
There is no AC but there is a handy electric fan in the bedroom. I hope they add back the blinds that are shown in the photos, because it would make a difference in the comfort of the stay.
Would have also liked for the kitchen to have been equipped with cleaning supplies like a sponge, wipes, sprays, trash bags and dish towels.
This second-floor walk-up has no cross ventilation, so it's an oven. The large window let in lots of sun (and heat) and the cops, ambulance, and fire service seem to make it a habit of running up and down the street at all hours. Convenient to shops, pubs, and Hempstead Heath (a huge green park/walking space).
Location was perfect for 02 forum and train station. Supermarkets and shops basically on the doorstep. Bit pricey and altho asked for bedding for sofa bed didnât receive any, luckily I didnât actually need it and would of cost me extra ontop of what we had payed already. Shower worked well and water was hot. Had everything we needed and more.
The property is in a lovely location near to plenty of restraints and supermarkets for any immediate needs. 1 minute away from the train station and 1 stop away from Camden Market which is a fantastic place to visit any day of the week. The apartment itself was very neat and tidy with everything you need to have a comfortable stay, it even has a terrace patio if you fancy food outside. The owner Diana is a wonderful host who was very communicative and set on making sure everything was perfect for us. It's a very comfortable apartment with an extremely comfortable bed, plenty of space and modern open plan kitchen (plenty of room if you're in the mood to cook). Overall a wonderful experience and would highly recommend if your looking for a nice apartment with great surroundings options
This property is right opposite Kentish Town tube station which makes it really easy to get to and we had a great stay.
Checking in was slightly odd because we were shown into a closed down catering facility and had to wait there while John checked our ID. Then John told us to go outside and round the back to get to the flat and he met us inside.
Not really a problem we just found it a little odd!
The oven wasnât working when we first arrived but John popped over the next day and got it working.
Other than that we had a lovely stay and we definitely recommend this place. Itâs great value for money given the location. The flat is well equipped and cosy.
Thanks for hosting us :)
