Host very welcoming and house along with location fantastic. Accommodated 6 adults and bus to mtn just a short walk so super easy! Would definitely come back to this house again!

Great for groups

This home suited our group of 13 perfectly. The location is great and it is such a bonus to be able to have our dogs there as well!

Great house!

The house was everything as described in the advertisement. Great location, all the amenities one could want, beautiful views, and a lovely home. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Excellent set up and location for two families

This house has a great setup for a large group or family for sleeping, dining, and socializing. The kitchen is well stocked and there is plenty of room for ski storage. It is on the bus route or an easy ski out.

Great place with very responsive host

We had a great time in this spacious and open home. Owners were available to answer questions promptly. Great for our family gathering, well stocked kitchen, hot tub, games, shuttle to village and ski right back to this wonderful house…all we needed. Would definitely like to stay here again.

Ski Getaway

It was a nice house to stay for our yearly family ski trip. We had plenty of space and loved the view. The bus was close to the house, but we thought it was a ski in and ski out house. Still had a great time thou and enjoyed our stay.

Excellent work/play property

The house is located in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood. Easy ski-in access. The home had plenty of space for 8 adults and a very good variety of sleeping accommodations. Kathy was quick to respond to our inquiries.

Our extended family had a very good time!

We spent a glorious 3 days at the bottom of Burfield chair lift, staying at the Morrissey Chalet. Chalet had everything we needed for a fun family ski vacation including fully stocked kitchen, laundry room to dry our damp ski clothes, storage area for all our equipment, and a hot tub for apres ski. The bedrooms were good to sleep 11 of us, and we had extra space to spare. We would recommend a visit.

We stayed here for a tournament in Kamloops- nice to have the space (top bedroom looks like it has a separate single bed through the bathroom in one of the pics but it’s all in one room) only downer for us was the drive back and forth to town but the home was awesome and in walking distance to sunpeaks for biking, golf or dining etc.

At Sun Peaks there are extra minerals in our water system. Due to this we have provided filtering for water which improves taste and is better for the coffee machine as well as our French press. This also ensures better taste with making ice cubes and fresh water. We consider our Morrisey Chalet “modern rustic, not tired. Many guests have also expressed this sentiment during their stay. With this in mind, over the past five years we have updated the following items at Morrisey Chalet: new refrigerator, washer and dryer, dishwasher, microwave, leather couch, bedroom furniture, reading chairs in each bedroom, carpet in great room, BBQ, outdoor bar table, bar stools, dining table and chairs, two very comfortable sofa beds, coffee tables, soundproofing, extra folding chairs, vacuum, two televisions, shower systems, sheets, pillowcases, and duvets for all beds, memory foam additions to mattresses in the four bedrooms, bookshelves with extensive book, CD and DVD collections, dining chairs with cushions, outdoor lounge/reading chairs, LED lighting, mountain pictures and paintings on all walls, dinnerware, high end pots and pans, and many new kitchen utensils.

Family of Fifteen have Fun

Somehow I miscalculated and thought we had a bedroom for all couples, plus the bunk room. But, no, one family had the playroom at the foot of the stairs! Fortunately we wore ourselves out so thoroughly that everyone seemed to sleep well no matter where they were! But the house was a bit tight for 15. The kitchen was well equipped and we fed ourselves well. Didn't have time to play many games, but there is a good supply of DVDs also. The front porch is a bit slippery...could use some textured paint or such. All in all, a very nice place!

Beautiful home, wonderful owners!

We stayed here 6 nights over Christmas. Although we live in the area, we had a large blended family with grandchildren that we were hosting all at once for the first time! This home was roomy enough for all, extra cot and crib were provided, and it is close enough to the village that grown ups can enjoy a quick walk. There is a shuttle that stops right outnfront every half hour as well. Not to mention all the amenities provided in the house! Plenty of cutlery, and towels for the hot tub. Huge windows with views of the runs, and granite countertops even! The owners are what we felt was very special about this home. Not only did they set up a real Christmas tree for us, happily; but they also stopped in to introduce themselves with smiles, thanks us for shovelling the walkway, and to let us know a decent amount of happy kid noise was welcome by all means! They were always quick to reply by email or phone, and thankful when we mentioned a few minor things that could be upgraded (slow drip coffee maker). Oh, and it snowed every night and was sunny most days!! The skiing was incredible, as was the snowmobiling, and there happens to be a good toboggan hill just across the road! These are wonderfully kind people who share a big, beautiful home on a big beautiful mountain! Thank you H&K Enjoy!

Great property, exactly as described. Owners stayed at the property in their own apartment. They were very responsive to any questions. The only complaint is the wifi was dodgy. Also, a lot of wildfire smoke, but that’s not something anyone could fix. Easy to ride to the lifts from the property.

Home with a beautiful view

Perfect home for our family vacation. We hadn’t been together for 4 1/2 years due to covid and the chalet was wonderful home base to create many family memories. We loved the Christmas tree!!

Perfect place for our bike trip. Lots of room a hot tub that was perfect at the end of a long day in the bike park and use of the garage for our bikes ! Highly recommend

The Morrsey Chalet Johnson Get Away

We loved the location. We were within walking or bike riding distance of the amazing village. We were a family of 14 gathering for a 40th Birthday Party and summer getaway. The chalet suited all our needs. We found the open concept living room, dining room, and kitchen were very accommodating for our party's size. Lots of books and games to entertain the kids The bedrooms were accommodating, with nice linens, pillows, and down duvets. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Thank you Harold and Kathy

Sun Peaks is Great!

We were two families, 4 kids and dogs for a 5 day adventure on the Bike Park and Lakes at Sun Peaks. The home had everything we needed, was clean and ready to go at Check-in. Harold and Kathy have a great home, on a quiet street, 5 minute bike ride to the lifts. Thanks for a fantastic stay… absolutely recommended.

Great ski cabin in a beautiful location

This home is large and spacious with good amenities. The hosts are lovely, warm and helpful. The description is accurate, lots of space, lovely large clean hot tub for apres skiing. The kitchen was well stocked with nice pots, large Insta Pot, coffee grinder, and more. We wished there was a wooden spoon and a few reusable food containers would be helpful for leftovers and packing lunches. The bedrooms and bathrooms are nice, great to have 3 bathrooms for a big group. The fireplace is awesome, and beautiful deck with a view of the mountains. The ski-in was good, and the free shuttle right out front in the morning for ski-out is very convenient. We found some of the beds to be too firm, but we got used to them by the end of the week. It was a memorable, lovely stay and we feel fortunate to have found this gem.

Beautiful and comfortable cabin

It was a great space to enjoy friends and family for a little holiday. Don’t bother packing your own books or DVDs… they have a variety of great reads in the bookshelves. Owners are accommodating and friendly.
