Welcome to the Suncatcher Penthouse, with stunning panoramic views of the mountain by day, gorgeous sunsets by night, and a unique view of the village. Architecturally designed with modern decor and vaulted timber ceilings, this magnificent penthouse condo is perfect for accommodating extended family and friends for a wonderful stay in Sun Peaks, with the added comfort of portable AC available in the summer.

- Ski- in: Take the Gentle Giant and join the Valley Trail to the top of the village, then a 40 meter walk/skate to Kookaburra Lodge
- Ski- out: Cross the road and walk/skate 40 meters to the main village and ski down to the Sundance and Sunburst chairlifts

Great spot for a group!

We stayed in Sun Peaks for a week of snowboarding and skiing with three families (ten total people, all kids were teenagers) and the place was great. Lots of space for everyone to lounge around, play games, watch movies, do whatever. SUPER close to the village, that was nice for quick access to morning coffee and pastries before first chair. 3 Peaks Staff were always super responsive when we needed them, whether before we arrived or when we needed a few things. Great spot and great property outfit, we hope to come back and won’t hesitate to book with them again.

Amazing stay

Great stay at property. Water pressure was low but that was a whole village of Sun Peaks issue. Very well equipped for hockey tournament.

Family Time

We had our daughter and family visiting from Australia and wanted a family get together for all of us. This was the perfect place for 10 of us! There aren't many places available that fit that many people with comfort and ease. The set up was awesome for the multi-generational use. The location can't be beat. Quiet yet it was so close to the village..perfect. Any questions or requests were answered promptly and with a smile. We will definitely book this property again...perhaps trying the "winter version" since we were there in fall. Thank you for making our family get away something to remember and cherish..

The space was great for our group, lots of room. Wasn’t as stocked as we are used to for Sun Peaks (no condiments, cleaning supplies were bleak) Coffee maker was dirty (grounds in water compartment) Hot tub didn’t get serviced daily as stated. Bigger hot tub towels would be nice. We would come back tho as the space worked well for our group

Fantastic location and place. Just a few small issues

To start off - this place is amazing. Excellent location, big windows, top floor, end unit, 2 patios. It also has a sweet 6ft tall cabinet drier for your gear. Plenty of room for eating, gaming, & hanging out. There were just a few things that held it back from a perfect score. #1 - it advertised air conditioning but between 3 of us we couldn't find evidence of ANY central air in the entire unit. There were only space heaters (seemingly). A bit stuffy in the summer temps. #2 - hot tub had lot of sediment in it (like dirt). It could use a drain & clean. #3 steam shower didn't work (or I didn't know how to use it?). Could have used some instructions in the binder provided. Otherwise, great stay!

Perfect apartment for group of 9 - teenagers upstairs and plenty of room to chill. Easy location to ski to lifts and walk to village. Great holiday!

Perfect location, spacious with stunning views

Overall an incredible time at Kookaburra Lodge. Perfect location to everything. The views of the hills, town and trees is spectacular from every room. I could look out the windows all day. The village is literally a 1 minute walk across the street and you’re at the chairlifts in 3 minutes. Good, clean hot tub serviced daily and the entire house fit our group of 10 comfortably. I especially enjoyed the steam shower! We also loved the massive heater for boarding clothes, boots, gear etc. It was amazing! There was two areas for the kids to hang and a huge living room for the entire group, we had so much fun. Next door to the skating rink, which our family of hockey players went to daily. A short walk to the tube park and tobogganing, which was such a hit with all the kids! We absolutely love sun peaks… so much so everyone got the sun peaks mtns tattooed on them from the local tattoo shop - Juggerbeam. Any owns it, she’s wonderful!!! My only complaint is check in could be a little more clear with the Kookaburra Lodge address, our address kept taking us to sun peaks base parking… it was a little confusing arriving on a dark snowy night. Also every guest thought the beds were pretty hard, for such a beautiful place a good sleep would be appreciated. This is no fault to the owners but every morning (during winter) snowplows scrape really loud down below the bedroom windows from about 5-6am. My 2 year old was absolutely terrified… I suggest bringing a noise machine for littles! Again there’s no avoiding it, nature of a snow town. Just a recommendation to others. Absolutely wonderful stay!!! Great communication from hosts. Wish it was a more dog friendly down like Whistler but alas, it was great!!!

Family Long Weekend Get Together.

Big place, good location

We very much enjoyed our stay. The unit was more than enough room for us, was very clean and had many amenities already in the unit. We will definitely consider going back. Only downside is the water pressure was a little light, but it ended up being a very minor thing in an otherwise outstanding stay.

Excellent location, perfect for large family

Two families plus a grandparent and there was tons of room for us all to hang out together as well as have our own space. We had a few minor issues and the property manager was quick to reply and come to the unit to fix the issues. The views from the rooms and main living room are spectacular. The kitchen was well appointed and the dining table fit us all perfectly. Location couldn't be beat and it was handy to have the ski locker to store our gear after long and fun ski days. Also appreciated that there was garbage and recycling in the building so we didn't need to make trips to the transfer station. Would recommend to anyone staying with up to 10 people.

Great place for a large group

This condo has a fantastic view over the village an not the mountain. It is a short block walk to put on your skis and be on the slopes, skiing through the village to the lifts. Three bedrooms with Queen or King beds, two with en suite bathrooms. A four beds (one a bunk bed) that sleeps 5. The kitchen is well equipped, better than most rentals I have stayed. We had an issue that'd the hot tub was not heating properly, and the next day had a maintenance person promptly respond, fix the problem, and the return a few hours later to check that all was working properly. So five stars for responsiveness of the property managers

Suncatcher penthouse

Property was very clean, well maintained and a good location. There were 8 of us and we had plenty of room so we weren't under each others feet. The wonderful and private hot tub was perfect and so enjoyable. Would definitely rent this beautiful condo again.

Beautiful Penthouse but not clean

Beautiful property with gorgeous views. Only complaint was the cleanliness of the property. We found bottle caps in the couches and the the floor around the couches was sticky. Lipstick marks were on half the wine glasses in the cupboard. The bedroom loft upstairs had tissue in the bed. For the price of the cleaning fee I was expecting a little bit better cleanliness of the property. Overall our corporate retreat was a success but could have been a little bit better had we not have had to clean and santize certain areas we felt were not cleaned thouroughly.

I have been staying on the mountain for over 30 years and this accommodation is my favourite of them all. Stunning, uninterrupted views and a huge penthouse that provided our family a fantastic space to enjoy together.

Perfect set up for our group

The penthouse was a perfect set up for our family group of 10 (6 adults, 4 kids) The loft was a huge hit with the kids! Everyone had their own space but gathering areas are large and comfortable. Loved having the hot tub, kitchen was well appointed and lots of linens and towels. We hope to visit again.
