This was the best house to escape to this summer. Close enough to the beach and town with access to a playground for our three year old. The house was clean and had the perfect amenities for staying cool, and allowed us to stay in and cook a meal vs eating out every night. The host was great and left a book about near by attractions and information that was easy to follow about the house. He was very responsive and had great communication skills around check in and check out. My family had the most relaxing time and this home helped make that possible.
This home was clean, beautiful and in a centralized location to restaurants, shopping and activities. Communication with David was excellent. Recommend seeing Marthaâs Vineyard and taking a whale watching cruise. Highly recommend this home which has everything you need and more!
The property was very nice and in a great location. Everything was clean and had plenty of room for us to hang out in. Communication with the owner was excellent and quick. Highly recommend!
Such a fabulous stay in Falmouth! The owner was so accommodating and the house was absolutely flawless. Canât recommend enough for a family vacation!!! 5 out of 5!!!
We stayed at Davidâs house for the week of our wedding and had an excellent time. The property was very clean and was close to everything. We would definitely recommend staying here
I was surprised the large bedroom was in the basement probably my fault for not reading the listing more accurately. Owner response time was awesome. Overall a successful family vacation. Bonus the teens loved the board games!!!!!
We had a great stay. David was extremely attentive and always available. The house is a short drive to the beach and very close to town. The neighbourhood is quiet. We enjoyed our 6 weeks there.
Loved the home- very tastefully decorated. Close to the beach-we rode our bikes about a mile to the end of the road and spent the day there. Close to restaurants, downtown and we were able to explore a few other towns north of town. Really awesome time and totally depressed to be home. Communication with the owners was great, too!
The house is very comfortable, decorated nicely with a Cape Cod feel and very well kept. We loved being able to walk to the ocean for exercise. There are sidewalks on Maravista and shady areas along the whole route. Trip down and back is a little over 3 miles. The house is in a great location. Visited the French bakery downtown for the first time. Highly recommend!! David was great to work with. Very responsive!! Weather could not have been better too đ€
Property was just OK, not as advertised. 3rd bedroom is in the basement, which smelled strongly of mold so we couldn't use it. Toilet wouldn't flush so we had to take the top off and manually do it. There were ants all over the kitchen. Dishwasher was full of clean dishes. Living room air conditioning unit worked well, but bedrooms gets very warm at night. It's disappointing the owner can't make the investment in linens at $4000 a week, we had to spend $300 on arrival so we could sleep there. We left them hoping the next guest might benefit from them. Beach was a 1.5 mile walk and tiny. Not as advertised at all. We left a day early as we were very disappointed.
On arrival, at first glance, the house looks like the picture. We walked in and it was 89 degrees inside!! There is no central air but a wall unit. The smell of MOLD was STRONG!! One bedroom is in the basement which was completely overwhelming with the mold smell. They did have 2 dehumidifiers in the room but that was not enough!! Completely unsuitable to sleep so my son had to sleep on the couch. We then noticed there were NO sheets or towels in the house. We didn't read the fine print, but apparently it is in the listing that they don't supply any linens of any sort due to health concerns related to COVID. Seems they are using the excuse of COVID to save the cost of cleaning services, because the information book in the house states that guests are responsible for cleaning when you leave and that was NOT in the listing. There was disgustingly dirty laundry left in the bedroom closet, the mattress pads had stains, the tub had hair in it, and there was expired food from 2 years ago in the cabinet. If health concerns are a priority, then having a professional cleaning service come clean after each guest would be a more sanitary option. I was coughing the entire night while sleeping. The room I slept in had water marks on the ceiling clearly due to a leaky roof. Walmart, was the closest store that was open, and we got towels and sheets. After a long day of travel this is the last thing I wanted to do, followed by hours of laundry and cleaning. DO NOT RECOMMEND!! Disappointing.
Had a great long weekend in Falmouth. The property is very close to town and the beach. Everything was clean/tidy and David was extremely informative and responsive!
Great stay and first trip for our 6th month old. The included pack a play was a great addition. We ended up going across the street to the elementary school as well for swings and other activities for our son. Also, can't forget to mention how the beach is just a walk away down the main street. Overall great stay!
