We stayed for 9 days at this location. The landlord responded to any needs, without delay via email. The location in Falmouth was ideal. It was located in a quiet neighborhood, approximately 100 yards from the beach. The Falmouth beach is wonderful, well maintained. The location is also very close to downtown Falmouth, shining sea bikeway and Woods Hole. The location was as advertised. It was clean, but does need some updating. The stream behind the location provided us with evening entertainment given the bunnies and birds. The osprey nest down the road was also interesting, especially for my grandson.I would recommend this location. My only negative is the location does need some minor updating. Did I mention that there are lots of bunnies.
We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage itself was very clean and comfortable, and the surrounding area is beautiful. It was great to be able to walk to the beach in a few minutes, and the location is central to many interesting things to do or see. there were a few minor issues, but Jonathan was always very responsive. Overall a great stay!
The property was accurately described, was well equipped with kitchen, outside grill and beach chairs. Very well kept and comfortable. Communicating with landlord was immediate . Overall a very wonderful place to stay.
Great location in Falmouth very close to beautiful water and scenery. Great neighborhood, child friendly. Great bbq and deck/backyard. There were a few minor issues during the trip that were immediately addressed by the Host. The communication with the Host was 5 stars. Will look forward to future renting opportunities. Really the overall rating should be 4.5 stars/ out of 5.
There were a few minor issues due to the time of year. The host was very responsive and took care of the issues quickly. He was easy to deal with. The property was lovely even if the weather was not.
We had a wonderful stay at Jonathanâs property. While could use some updates, it was very clean and everything functioned exactly as it should. It might be the first time we stayed at a rental and not a single thing was wrong! The only small irritation was the smell in the twin bed bedroom - it smelled like mildew at all times, and I wonder if itâs because the laundry is in the closet in that room. But it didnât bother the two kids that slept in there, and it didnât take away from our overall enjoyment of the place.
It was a 5 min walk to the beach, a 15 min walk to town, and roughly a half mile bike ride on the road until it connects to the bike path. The neighborhood was lovely and quiet. The backyard was peaceful and we all enjoyed watching the ducks, egret, and gray heron visit the river that cuts behind the backyard. Whenever we were home, we hung out on the back deck (great table and chairs and two umbrellas for shade). We are hoping to rent the same house for our next cape trip!
Generally speaking, the size and layout of this house was suitable for us as a family of 6, the location was ideal, and the host communicated well. That said, weâd like to suggest that the outdoor photoâs be updated to more accurately reflect the back yard landscaping. The shrubs along the creek have grown much taller resulting in a significant block of the view of the creek. A couple of other disappointing things include: deck railing was plastered with bird poop (we decided to avoid eating out there), quick, rough shod repairs here and there (duct tape used to repair bathroom floor). We suggest replacing the headboard in the downstairs full size bed ( annoying rattle every time you move). To conclude, we had an ok week there, but for the expense involved, we expected much better.
My family had a very nice stay at Jonathan's house. We ran into a few problems, but Jonathan was very responsive to try and communicate about each one. House is very close to the beach and bike path, but a bit of a longer walk into town. Overall we had a great stay, but would recommend that the owner hires a new cleaning company as I think they're taking advantage of him. Definitely recommended!
Great time for family of 4 (including 2 kids under 3) with 3 bedrooms including a fantastic primary suite upstairs. The pond behind the house attracts a lot of birds which my toddler loved. Easy 2-3 minute walk to the beach through quiet neighborhood or 20 minute walk to main street. Great communication from property owner. House needs some maintenance but overall great stay.
This property was a perfect family vacation spot for us! Jonathan was very welcoming and checked in to ask if we needed anything. The home was very clean, bright, and had a perfect setup for our family. We loved the open floor plan because it made the house feel spacious for 6 adults. We really enjoyed eating out on the nice deck and watching the wildlife- especially the ducks. The location of this home is great because it is within walking distance to the beach, a bike ride to town, and close to the bike path. We look forward to coming back to this home in the future!
Jonathan's home is in a perfect location -- a short (truly less than 5 minute) walk to the beach, 20 minute walk into Falmouth Center, and a short 10 minute bike ride to the bike path. The house sits in a quiet neighborhood (very little traffic) where our kids did laps on their bikes. There's a lovely river that runs along the back of the property with ducks that float by throughout the day. The cottage is well laid out and has a happy, peaceful vibe. We spent mornings and evenings lounging on the large back porch and we slept comfortably at night. It was a perfect stay thanks to Jonathan who is a wonderful host. He checked in with us to ensure we had everything we needed.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this home. Our family of four fit comfortably and enjoyed the lovely beds, blankets and outdoors that this home offered us. Weâve rented homes for many, many years in Falmouth and this by far is one of our favorites.
Our family of six found the house to be very comfortable. The back porch was our favorite place to hang out. One afternoon we sat in the sun and loved having the shower to cool off in. The ducks that seem to live next door on the bank of the river came to visit us a few times--they were so cute-- 9 ducklings and mother. Surf Drive beach was right down the street. We cooked out every night on a great grill. And, we could see the fireworks right from the living room window. We most likely will rent this home again
