Dear AnnMarie, thank you for your review. I would like to further respond to your concerns, that you called yourself “small things”, that made you give only 4 out of 5 stars. First, I am sorry that you disliked an old lamp in the house. Second, I am sorry that you found instructions in the house “little less than relaxing.” Through out the years I heard from other guests that they found them helpful. Even though I know that it is impossible to satisfy everybody’s expectations, but please know that I appreciate your feedback and I take it seriously for improving my hosting services. Thank you! Thank you for your review Angela. I am glad you enjoyed your stay and I am glad I was able to drive you to/from the Stop&Shop so you could buy groceries for your stay after your arrival, since you didn’t have a car. We always do all we can to make stay of our guests as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Regarding the window shades, you came just in the time, when the new beautiful high quality door and windows were installed and unfortunately shades in the living room were not installed yet. I am very sorry for this inconvenience. Regarding the lights, there are great modern lights by the beds with 3 settings for warmth of light and more setting for intensity of chosen light warmth. Regarding the bathroom, it is very clearly described in the listing (with pictures as well as with words). Please go to section at the beginning of listing: “Rooms & beds”, then “See all rooms and beds details”. “Bathroom 1” has a picture of bathtub and toilet with description: “Soap · Towels provided · Bathtub or shower · Toilet”. Then there is “Outdoor Shower” with description: “Shower only, Outdoor shower behind the house.” The outdoor shower is a special feature loved by many guests that can be enjoyed from spring to fall.

Dear Katherine, Thank you for your review that will help me to address the issue of communication. Most of the time it goes down to communication. I wish I would learn about your concerns sooner then now. To assure a pleasant and comfortable stay, I always contact my guests three times (right after booking, few days before their arrival and then the first day of their stay) with instructions and encouragement to contact me with any questions, or concerns. I reached out to you the same way, but only received you response, that "All is great!" If you would only let me know about your concerns, I would easily navigate you to the cabinets @ the house, where you could find more towels and pillows…there are plenty of those easily accessible in the house. I would also appreciate if you would share more with me about the bathroom and furniture, since you are the very first person to mention anything about this after the whole house was repainted and remodeled.
