We had a great week in this beautiful home in a terrific location. The views of the water from this home are stunning. Several restaurants, beaches and Ferry were a short walk away. The house is well equipped (beach items, kitchen, etc.) and Sarah was a pleasure to work with!
Sarah was wonderful to deal with from the time we booked the home through our stay this past week. The house is located close to the beach (less than 10 minutes walk) and you can walk to many restaurants. You can walk to the ferry to Martha's Vineyard as well. We had a wonderful time!
Beautiful house with amazing views and great location for exploring Falmouth. Walking distance to Falmouth heights beach, several restaurants, Island Queen ferry and the Black dog heights cafe which was perfect for morning coffee and breakfast. We stayed with two families (4 adults and 5 kids ages 4-14) and there was plenty of room to sleep and enjoy space in the house. Loved the library, Mullen hall playground, local carousel, bike trails, and nature hikes including the knob and Highfield hall gardens.
Fantastic location on top of Falmouth Heights and lots of room.
Kitchen has modern appliances.
House is over 100 years old and owner needs to keep AC on and windows shut to protect it.
Thos property is an old world charmer. There a 5 bedrooms each can sleep 2 people. There is a descrepancy in the number of bathrooms. There are 2 complete bathrooms, one on each floor. There is no lock on the upstairs bath, so eastblish a must k ocl policy early on. The covered side porch offers a delightful morning coffe and evening cocktail retreat. That is not to overshadow the second floor open deck, which allows for sunbathing, watching the sunrise and sunset. The kitchen seats 12 comfortably. The family room is cozy, while the livingroom.offers a spacious gathering place. There is adequate parking for up to 3 midsize vehicles. Our family would stay here again. The Pros: location, size, number of bedrooms, views, well equiped kitchen. An outdoor shower, beach equipment, 2 sets of keys, and a host who is very responsive to messaging. The cons: you have to bring ALL of your own lines, sheets for each bed, as well as towels and washcloths. Not handicap accessible. There is no first floor bedroom if traveling with older adults.
Place accommodated up to 7 of us (some didn't stay the entire week). We'd walk to the beach, with chairs and an umbrella from the property. We cooked out on the gas grill and ate out on the picnic table some nights. We had room to spread out in the evenings and the beds were very comfortable to sleep in. Plenty to do around Falmouth on nonbeach days
This property fit our needs perfectly. Convince to the beach area a green area for the kids to play wffleball. Very convenient to restaurants and to the ferry to Marthaâs Vineyard my husband and I went for coffee every day at the black dog cafe. The only thing that threw us off was needing linens and sheets for beds. I was traveling up to the day before we got into house and did not see the email about needing those things. Out west when we have stayed at a property those things are supplied. We handled it and it did not spoil our trip. We did reach out to Sarah for a couple of issues and she had people come quickly to remedy the issues. All in all I would definitely stay at this property again given the opportunity.
This charming and well appointed home is absolutely perfect.
Walking distance to the beach, use of beach chairs, gorgeous kitchen, outside shower, family sized kitchen and two porches with terrific views. Check in was seamless. Fabulous communication with the owner (we could be friends). Memorable amazing place that we hope to return to, soon and often.
We enjoyed our stay with 5 adults. It's a large house with 5 bedrooms.
Nice location, walking to beach and restaurants, nice views
Booking and check in were easy
House is exactly as advertised.
We would stay there again.
We had a wonderful week in Falmouth. The house was very nice, clean and spacious. Fabulous location! Situated across the road from the ocean, it featured pretty views and was a quick walk away from a nice beach, coffee shop, and a couple restaurants. A longer walk or very quick drive from the house will get you to a ferry to Marthaâs Vineyard for a day trip as well!
Great location to visit Falmouth. Ocean views from welcoming kitchen and side porch. Walk to Falmouth Heights beach, Shipwrecked restaurant and Black Dog Cafe, can also do a little bit longer walk to Marthaâs Vineyard Ferry and downtown shops and restaurants. Well stocked kitchen. Note that linens are not provided. Super easy check in and check out process. Appreciated that the property owner/manager checked in with us during the stay to make sure we had everything that we needed.
Our family had the most fabulous vacation in this gorgeous home. The location is ideal - breathtaking views, walkable access to the beach, restaurants and the Island Queen. Easy trip to town and a great launch point to other Cape attractions as well. The house is beautiful and makes great use of space. Loads of light and space to gather with our extended family which made for wonderful memories. Sarah is a marvelous host. We canât wait to return!
This was our second stay at this fabulous beach house. The spacious rooms, first floor porch, large kitchen, and upstairs deck made it very comfortable for the three generations under one roof. The view of the water from every room and an easy walk to the beach is what makes this home a great vacation rental. My family loves the Falmouth Heights area.
We enjoyed another great week at this beautiful home! Having all the windows open, feeling the breeze and being able to see the water from most windows in the back of the house is spectacular! A true gem.
This house was beautiful! The location, view and decor made our week long vacation amazing. My family is local (North Andover, MA) but we joined our family from North Carolina for the trip. Every evening we sat on the rooftop deck to watch the waves and sunset. You can also see the ocean from every bedroom!! The house was very roomy and the dining area sat us all. We walked to the local dining and the island queen. The beach across the street, although beautiful, was a bit rocky so we drove to Old Silver for a few of the days which worked out great. The owner was very attentive and easy to reach. I would gladly stay here again! Thank you!!
We have rented a different Cape house for the last four years, and this is by far the best property and our favorite property. The price was right. The location was perfect for beach access. We could easily walk to the beach. The property was very clean and well stocked. It was very helpful to have the beach chairs and sand toys available at the house. We used the grill and appreciated the AC. We stayed with three generations, including a 1 year old, 8 year old and 11 year old. I was originally worried about the lack of a yard, but between all of our activities, the Falmouth Heights Beach, the rocky beach near the yacht club, and the shared community lawn just steps from the door, the kids were busy and happy. We were able to walk to the Queen Island Ferry and spent a day on Marthaâs Vineyard. The big picture window in the kitchen has a wonderful view of the island and Vineyard Sound. Our family appreciates antiques and well styled homes. This was it. We admired the high quality furniture prices and enjoyed looking at the fun collections in the decor. This home was a beautiful backdrop for our vacation.
This is our second time returning to this property! Love this house so conveniently located, spacious and bright. Would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to explore the Cape or for those lazy days a five minute stroll and you are on the beach.
