Heck-in and access to the unit was very easy. We could come and go without disturbing others. Nice place. Comfy beads. Wasnât missing anything we needed.
This is the best vacation rental that I have ever stayed at! The beds are comfortable, the towels are plush, there's so much space, the whole place is spotless, and the location is perfect for walking everywhere we wanted to go in town. We will definitely be staying here again!
It was very excellent We wanted something close to stay for our visit to my sister in the nursing
We enjoyed our stay because it was so close to the nursing home where my sister is a resident it was so convenient to go back and forth several times a day to visit her it was a very quiet and relaxing place to stay we will stay there again when we come back to visit her
The apartment was very spacious, very clean, and well-equipped. It is nicely furnished, and many original architectural details add extra charm. The owner is very friendly and quick to respond to any questions. Overall a quite pleasant place to stay if you are looking for something in that area. Some things that would have improved my stay: Replace the trendy but horrible 'rain' shower head with a much more user-friendly hand held one.New pillows! Current ones are very uncomfortable.Full length mirror. Room darkening curtains in bedrooms. Too bright to sleep after 6 am :-0
This was a great place for our family. We were in town for the Fourth of July weekend and loved our accommodations! The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and the living area is HUGE! The Murphy bed made staying with our boys easy and comfortable. We would definitely book again.
We stayed on the 2nd floor of this property, which was very well appointed, nicely updated and comfortable for three adults. Two of us had separate bedrooms and the 3rd slept on the Murphy bed. Everything was clean and as advertised for a decent price in this small rural corner of the state. Made for great stargazing at the nearby state park, and there was good food at the local haunts in Keosauqua and the other villages just a short drive away.
This adorable place was exactly as advertised. The beds were comfortable and the shower great. We didnât have time to relax in the living room but it was a very inviting and large space.
This place was better than a motel - had a kitchen, two bedrooms for 4 adults, shared bath, living room with dining area, a patio and plenty of space... We were within walking distance to the downtown eateries, across the street from a church we attended and the town was in the center of all the villages we wanted to visit. Couldn't have been a better place to stay.
This was such a wonderful find in Kia aqua, Iowa! There was so much space, and these incredibly comfortable couches and even a little electric fireplace that actually put out heat! Huge TV and we really enjoyed. Just relaxing after working. Comfortable beds, plenty of towels and kitchen appliances, we communicated with the owner and she was incredibly quick and responsive when we needed a question answered. If you do stay here, just keep in mind thereâs only one grocery store and itâs closed on Sundays. We would definitely come back if we were in the area.
An older house built in the 1800âs. We rented the second floor. Although old, well kept, clean with appropriate upgrades to the bathroom, HVAC and kitchen. Could use more counter space in kitchen, perhaps a small table to put toaster on, etc. Beds were very comfortable. Could use a small clock in each bedroom. The only misleading thing was the charcoal grill. The website gave the impression it was on the porch of our floor. Actually it is on a porch of the first floor. No local cable tv although you could get Netflix. All in all spacious and private. We would stay there again if in the area and do recommend it.
My family spent the better part of 2 weeks in Bent River Extended Stay. The place is huge (lots of room to spread out)! Very clean, easy communication, great A/C, laundry on-prem, walking distance to Main Street - all around a great place to call home while visiting rural Van Buren county and enjoying the sites/sounds/tastes of the country.
While visiting Southeast Iowa in the early 2000's I fell in love with the Keosauqua area. So much so that in 2002 I relocated from Central Illinois and opened a real estate office (Iowa Farm & Home Real Estate). Since then I have purchased Red Fox Lodging Company - the cabins on Lake Sugema and have entered into the world of Vacation Rentals.
This property gives a traveler a unique opportunity and or alternative to your normal Hotel lodging. With it's two bedrooms and large living area it is ideal for larger family or someone who wants all the comforts of home.
