Nice condo as listed. Kitchen is a little small, 2 people at a time gets really cramped. The selling point is location and view. Private path to world class beach and snorkeling.

OK
The only issues we had were the pillows on the beds that were not comfortable and the washing machine lid that would get stuck and not release. Oh.. having a wine bottle stopper would be nice. We used foil! đ
Do you know if we stayed in definitely needs an upgrade the carpet was new, but the furniture was old we noticed in the units surrounding us that they had nice new furniture and furnishings, very attractive and freshly painted

We were told that this condo was not well maintained, however we were not told that it was not even clean or functional. We spent the first hour scrubbing the kitchen cabinet doors just to be hygienic enough to use. The washer was 5â out in the bathroom, making it very difficult for my wife to pass with her walker. There was sand on the floor in front of the washer and under the hinges on the cover. The walls were broken, metal flashing rusted, and showing damage from flooding. The carpet was cheap and poorly installed. The outside furniture was painted whit, even over the plastic webbing. All very inexcusable for such a beautiful location.

Beautiful location. Great well maintained condo complex. But the unit was very dated and had several problems. Carpeting very uncomfortable on bare feet and stained in some places. The bed in the living room extremely uncomfortable and not suitable for anyone over 5â5â. It was also dirty in the bed frame under the mattress. Screen door on the sliding patio door was ripped at the bottom letting in a lot of bugs. It also would not slide properly. Other window screens bent and ripped. The microwave door felt greasy. Old house musty odor. It was obvious there was no pride in ownership or in the product that is being offered to the public. A little repair and updating would go a long way to making this a great pkace

Pali Ke Kua 117 is a dump. The view is beautiful but the condo needs serious upgrading and at least paint the place and clean the stained carpet. I picked this unit because of the view and had no idea that I would be walking in to a unit that seems to be never taken care of. I wish the Oceanfront Realty would have suggested another condo since I have done business with them many years ago when they managed my townhouse in Princeville Kauai. I was told that the owners knew that they needed to upgrade the place but couldn't do it right now. So they were happy renting it to unsuspecting clients and Oceanfront Realty was OK with that. If you can't afford the upkeep then sell it.Can't imagine what kind of a swamp the owners live in.

We have stayed in three other units at Pali Ke Kua. #117 compares unfavorably to the others. It is overdue for refurbishment. The furniture and countertops need to be replaced. The unit needs to be repainted. Kitchenware was poorly stocked. I would not rent this unit again.

Hi guys, my wife and I have been coming to N. S. Kauai for over 20 years and we have stayed in PKK probably 15 times. We know the area well and love the PKK complex. Unfortunately this was the worst unit we have ever stayed in by a mile. Iâm sure your company doesnât own this unit (at least I really hope not) and I think you really need to encourage the owners to take the unit from the 1980âs to the 2020âs. Both the appliances, (other than the microwave) and the furniture are extremely out dated. As well, there were burn marks on carpet in several places as well as burn marks on the 80âs Formica counter top. The place wasnât cleaned well, I picked up several cockroaches and there is Duct Tape on the screens for the sliders out to the Lanai. Also, you should know that the check in / guest book has completely out dated information in it specifically but not limited to the WI-FI information. Hopefully this is helpful. Sam and Robin
Best possible view in Kauaii! But not very private - can hear other units and frequently people walk by in front of the unit; within feet of the patio.
The View was the most beautiful view I have ever seen for 10 days. I was even able to watch the Milky Way on clear nights. The perfect way yo Celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary.

When you open the drapes and sliding doors you are treated to one of the best views in the world, the Na Pali coast line and Hanalei bay. The unit itself was clean but had older carpet and drapes from the 80's and minimal appealing decorations or furniture. But its really all about the view...

The back patio has a spectacular view. The close access to Hideaway Beach is awesome as well. The condo itself is fine. It was a little warm at times without AC but we managed with the vents and back patio sunscreen. The condo above was a little noisy at times as well. There are rules for quiet hours in place, sometimes they just get broken (e.g. washing machine above ran after 10pm). Both issues were minor though and overall our stay was awesome. Check in/out process was very convenient. I would definitely stay here again!
Unbelievable views of the mountains and ocean at all times of the day.
Unfortunately the lock box was completely open with the key exposed on arrival. Nothing was amiss when I entered to check the condo out so we didn't bother to contact anyone. The kitchen counter tops and drawers need to be replaced/refurbished. Dated, warped and a couple of burn marks. When you are paying what we paid they should put some of the $$ back into the place to make it more presentable. Again, location and views were out of this world.
Great view & location, but LOUD if upstairs neighbors are inconsiderate
The location is amazing and the view is so good, pictures don't do it justice. We loved the place in spite of what I'm going to say below.
The one problem with the place - the unit above (217) has hard wood floors... and they are very loud. My wife and I have lived in apartments/condos all over for years, but this was a whole new level.
We had a family with 3 young children staying above us and we were woken up at 430am their first night, then between 5-6am each day because of their running/jumping around the house. We requested them to keep it down, but they blew us off. I attempted to communicate the issue to the property owner via the VRBO app message center, but received no response. We probably won't stay here again because of this issue; the only fix is guarenteeing the upstairs renters are (1) considerate/good human beings or (2) the upstairs condo gets good thick carpeted floors.
Beautiful unit and views. Only issues are minor, i.e., bed too soft for someone with back issues. Otherwise, incredible views. Excellent access to hideaway beach with excellent and easy (little to no current) snorkeling and a bunch of beautiful sea turtles.
Okay, so if youâve looked at pictures of this condo you know itâs dated. For us, it felt homey and welcoming. The first thing that hits you when you enter the condo is the breathtaking view. Itâs incredible. The condo itself has everything you need & is comfortable. We brought our infant & felt the space was very easy to baby proof. We loved the beach just below the condo & hiked there each day (very steep path, though short & beautiful). Overall the space was dominated by the breathtaking view, had an excellent beach just a short hike away, and we felt very comfortable staying there. The only thing I didnât love was the dryer was very slow.
We completely enjoyed our stay in Pali Ke Kua #117! The location is ideal for the North Shore - a hop to Hanalie, Kilauea and all the north shore beaches. Princeville itself is pretty dense with condos and golf courses, which was a surprise to me. That said, we felt very private and away from the crowds when we were in the condo, even when folks walked by to the beach or to view the sunset - a wave and an "aloha!" and they were on their way. The most frequent visitors were the NeNe's, which made for great company and amusement. The unit is a short walk from the parking lot. Ok, so the unit is dated; you know that from the photos. But it's comfortable and clean and has all you need. AND you're coming here for the view, and OMG, what a view! And it changes daily and sometimes hourly - sunny, rainy, rainbows galore, sunsets! We really liked the Pali Ke Kua beach as well. The walk is steep, so your legs are more fit by the end of your stay. The beach is sheltered, has good shade and had some of the best snorkeling - giant turtle and octopus included :) It never really got that crowded. It was a huge plus to just be able to walk down for a morning dip or a late afternoon snorkel. The bed was comfortable, ample linens were provided. Overall, heaven on Kauai. The one small annoyance was some of the kitchen doors/drawers stuck or didn't close (they need some TLC), but this is a mere blip on picture perfect week. Thank you! We'll be back.
We have stayed in Princeville 8 times at various condo complexes, 3x at Pali Ke Kua, our first in this unit. The view from this unit is nothing less than spectacular which is why we booked it. But thatâs t about the only positive thing about the unit. The queen bed is so old and soft I couldnât sleep on it, the outdoor furniture is circa 1980 and has been repainted instead of replaced. The dining set is too big for the space making it very difficult and awkward to get seated. The kitchen cupboards and drawers were frustrating to open and close. I was thankful I was only here 3 nights. Pool/hot tub is nice, beach Path and beach is lovely and secluded, and Hideaways restaurant is excellent (Spinach salad is fantastic). Oceanfront Reality was great to deal with, the app was fantastic. I would recommend staying at Pali Ke Kua, just not in this unit. I gave it 2 stars for the view but it could easily be a 4 star with a furnishing upgrade to lanai, bedroom and dining area.
I can't overstate how spectacular the view is from this condo, from both living room, kitchen area and patio. I kept photographing it over and over with each sunset. The complex is a bit older but very nicely landscaped with a basic pool/ Jacuzzi in an attractive setting. The apartment itself is fully functional with a kitchen, small dining area, bedroom and bathroom with laundry and shower but no tub. On the downside: the furnishings are clean but worn/ faded and dated. Being on the ground floor, people pass right by both the bedroom in the back of the unit and the living spaces upfront (toward the sea), so I kept the bedroom curtains drawn. There's no air conditioning but the fans work fine and ocean breezes kept me comfortable (in March). Can hear some sound from adjacent units but not enough to be a problem, or at least my neighbors were respectful. You can hear the ocean at night, even from the bedroom if the fan is off. The path to the private beach is paved but very steep, need to be in decent shape to do it. The little beach at the bottom is a bit rough but beautiful and there are areas where you can get in the water between the rocks. (It's a short drive to Hanalei Bay, which is great for swimming). Flocks of nene geese visited occasionally in the early morning. Try Pink's in Hanalei for fantastic coconut, passion fruit, or Kona coffee ice cream.
