Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin was beautiful but very outdated. Several amenities were very outdated and broken - the dryer didn't dry, the joystick on the arcade game was worn out, the remote was missing for one of the tvs, one of the tvs wouldn't stay online and we were kicked off the wifi multiple times.

We had a question about the pool cover and a maintenance person came out immediately and assisted us. The cabin was very clean and comfortable and made for an enjoyable getaway. We highly recommend Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals.

Now the pictures make it seem like the game room is bigger and farther from the rooms, the bed on the game room was broken, the mattress are thin, the stairs where slippery and one of the lights was not working. They were responsive but did not get the issues resolved, we left something behind and we ask them to send it to oit address and they told us that it was “not found”

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Cabin was beautiful and big enough for the 8 of us with beds left over. The pool was so nice. My only complaints would be the air in the living room and downstairs with the bunk beds were hot the whole weekend. When we arrived it was 78 degrees, we tried to turn on the air but it seemed like it never kicked on. During the hottest part of the day, it was 80 degrees in the house. It was absolutely miserable if you were cooking, we even shut all the blinds and kept the lights off trying to keep it cool. Thankfully we had the pool and the upstairs to cool off. We was unable to use the theater because of how hot it was. My second complaint, we were a group of 8 people staying 2 nights. I was very unpleased when I realized there was only 2 trash bags for the whole stay. When I called and asked for more I was told “we don’t provide more than 2”. If that is so, I feel like guest should be let known that way you can prepare to bring more supplies. 2 bags would be enough for 2-3 people, but for 8 people we used them in one day. We cooked 6 meals over the weekend. We had planned on staying in all week to avoid Rod Run traffic, but had to go out to get trash bags. Please worn guests to bring their own supplies, it is not usually something I ever have to worry about on a trip.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: All porches were very dirty and covered in spider webbs, you could not even set outside. Dishwasher we could only get to turn on once, not happy about hand washing dishes on vacation. The air conditioner would not turn off, we called maintenance but they didn't show up so we finally just canceled as we waa checking out early the next morning. The kitchen needed some basic items, such as a can opener. This cabin has potential but needs some serious attention. Not satisfied at all for the price we paid to stay here. Location was great, convenient to grocery stores.

Less than impressed

Check-in delayed by cleaning crew. Check-in is 3pm and we received a text that it could be delayed until 7pm. After spending triple the normal rate due to the holidays and family coming in from a lengthy trip, we were not impressed. The pool light was loose and floating in the pool. The master door handle had come apart and fallen on the floor on the first night. The guest bath has a toilet that doesn't flush without holding down the handle and the cabin floors have a very noticeable slant. We have stayed in several other cabins in the area and this did not compare to the quality of others.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a great cabin for a group with tons of kids. The price was perfect,the cabin was extremely clean, and in a convenient location. The only negatives were a few minor maintenance issues(missing shower head), so many stairs, and the annoying pool alarm. It was impossible to keep the stairs to the basement pool dry, so we had several falls. Regardless of these minor issues, we would stay again!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Cabin was still being cleaned after the staff confirmed our arrival time, had to wait 2+ hours beyond expected check-in. Pool wasn’t ready upon our arrival, but was resolved relatively quickly. Had problems with A/C all week. Resolution of the problem never developed after a several maintenance trips from staff.

Extremely disappointed

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I've been to Elk springs resort in the past, which is why I decided to go again. This time our cabin was in Grand View resort- 15 minutes or so north of Pigeon Forge. Our check in was 1.5 hours later than they advertised- and nobody stayed in the cabin before our reservation, so how that is possible- not sure. The A.C on main level and lower 2 levels was not working- blowing 110 degree heat out and could not be shut off. The refrigerator stopped working roughly 2 hours after we go in at 5:00. The A.C didn't get fixed till mid-day the next day along with Fridge. Had to pull everything out and pack in coolers and re-ice a couple times. They brought a window unit to put in at 11:30 pm that night, had everyone sleeping either upstairs or main level where the window unit was. I asked to speak with a Supervisor/Manager the next day. Kept getting the runaround- finally a manager called me Thursday- We checked in Tuesday. They offered to have me move to another cabin- chose not to pack up and then unpack again. After 1 1/2 days, the AC and refrigerator were fixed. I asked what was going to be done for my family since the first day and a half were horrible- took 5 days for a customer service rep to call me and give me less than a night's rate. I will never stay at Elk Springs again- I advise others not to. There are literally hundreds of other options.

Decent cabin

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Cabin was fine, quite a bit of spruced webs and dusty walls. Log cabins are just like that. Would have loved for the pool to be more accessible. It was like 3 stories down. Two very long stair wells to go down to get it. Oh and the pool door never really locked. We bought a baby safe strap to use while we were there. These places need some retractable baby gates to keep the small kids safe inside. I honestly feel it was very over priced for what it was, beds were very hard, couches were actually falling apart, nothing major just noticeable stuff. Location was pretty good. And lastly, no broom to clean up with.

The amenities were great and you could literally stay in the cabin and not go anywhere and be okay with it. Now the cleanliness was questionable. The floors were sticky, cups in the cabinets were dirty and the hot tub filter system had a broken fastening ring so all the parts were floating when taking the lid off of the spa. We found shard of broken glass in the foyer area and having a crawling baby with us was a big disappointment to find. We also found a bag of open chips stuffed into the drawer of the living room table. Needless to say this place was not clean and with the amount of money people pay, you expect more. It would have been 5 stars if this were a properly cleaned facility. I won't come back to this location and will not recommend anyone to stay here either.

It was Okay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I've been coming to the smokies for the last 3 years during the winter months. My first year was absolutely beautiful. I stayed at the Otter Springs Cabin. Clean and ready on time and management was very responsive. Since then it seems to have gone down hill. I stated at the Alpine last year. Zero communication. Had to check in extremely late. After late check in we had to call maintenance next day and still had issues throughout house all week. No response from management. the house was nice and clean. Swimming in Paradise is a nice house. Could use some deep cleaning though inside and out. The bottom floor where theater is was uncomfortable and coldest in the house so did not get to enjoy. Going to pool area felt like you going into a dungeon. But overall a nice house and enjoyed our stay. Contacted maintenance a few time and got not response so issue we had did not get fix in the week we was there. Otherwise booking is a breeze and it's seem to be the only consistent contact management will do. I will visit again but it a be awhile

Great Cousins Trip! Cabin Disappointment 😞

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First, as a frequently returning guest, upon booking, I assumed that the cabin was at the "main" Elk Springs Resort in Gatlinburg, which is where I was used to staying and assumed where I was booking. It wasn't until check-in whrn I discovered that it was a completely "different" resort that had been "purchased" by Elk Springs. Long story short, to my disappointment, the cabin was not clean and did not seem "fresh" at all. There were cob webs in the ceilings, the kitchen and dishes were not clean, the dishwasher had standing water in the bottom, the linens were not fresh and the washcloths and towels had hair in them. Also, the bathroom sinks had hair all around the handles. For the cost of this cabin, it was definitely a disappointment in the overall cleanliness. The amenities were good, except the pool was "cloudy" the entire stay. Although this was my first time at this Elk Springs location, it was definitely my last. If I decide to visit again, I will be sure to book at their Gatlinburg location. There is a zip line attraction at the resort, so that was a huge positive.
