We loved our time in the mountains by the Amalfi Coast. The Coppola family are lovely hosts and the property perfectly matches the description. They left us a basket to make dinner when we arrived late after a long drive. Yum! The apartment is nicely designed and we loved the quietness the area offered, particularly when paralleled against the hustle in the main tourist areas of the Amalfi Coast.
The owners are very thorough. Make sure to store all the details they share about reaching their house because, roads are windy and data might be unreliable... ours was! We now understand why owners in Italy share their GPS coordinates!
This apartment is a great place to stay to reach the Amalfi Coast and Napoli. We drove 1 hour to reach Herculaneum, and spent a lot of our other free days in Maiori (10-15 mins away). The boat from Maiori to Amalfi is close, and parking in Maiori was easy on week days.
Anytime we needed anything, Riccardo was quick to reply over WhatsApp. We had a really lovely time in Tramonti and appreciated the quietness that the village offered.
Thank you for making our holiday fantastic.
Riccardo helped us find the property and even drove to find us with the help of WhatsAp, and brought his sister in the evening to explain about the area as she speaks better English.
The property was exactly how the photos show on Expedia. There was even food for a meal left with a bottle of wine for our first day - thank you. The best of the holiday was the accommodation, weather, a taste of 'real Italy' as the location is in a village in the mountains only 15-20 minute car drive from Maiori which in our opinion has the best beach in the region. It is best to rent a car. Be aware of the roads as when it rains the road surface becomes very slippery. But I have to say that I have never driven outside the UK before and found it difficult returning to the UK roads after 10 ten days of getting used to the roads and driving a car which is left hand drive. I was terrified to begin with around Naples airport when I collected the car but as you get used to the roads and the culture you will feel more confident I promise. Just take it easy. People will sound horns but some of that is saying 'I am passing you' unlike the UK where they sound horns in anger. Just keep your nerve! The accommodation feels safe. The village is safe probably safer than being in a resort. I walked around the village at night a couple of times to check out the mountain lights and the village life which is extremely friendly. I would love to return.
The house was great; the rooms are nice furnished, functional and at the same time comfortable. With two kids we are truly appreciate the offered washing machine!
Starting in Tramonti we explored the Vesuvius, Pompeji, Neapel; Ravello, Maiori, Minori and Paestum. Riccardo was very supportive by finding the house and also by any other questions that appeared. We truly had a great time.
A very spacious 3-room appartment in a small Italian mountain village just an hour drive time away from Naples and very close to the Amalfi coast. If you are not afraid of small and for not locals adventurours roads, you will get a modern and quiet appartment with Italian flair. - The only "traffic" around your street will consist of cats and dogs roaming the streets (or maybe a rooster...). An individual car is obligatory - and it should not be a huge SUV (roads...).
The owners are eager to help and friendly (for instance: we received a thoughtful food basket for breakfast, because we had such a late flight...). Also they gave us tips and advice for dinning etc. Comunication before and during the stay was quick and friendly (also via Whatsapp...).
