It IS centrally located, and on the ground floor. Both the kitchen and bathroom are an adequate size. However, it has NO shower, and the tub is about 18 inches off the floor, so if youâre short and mildly disabled like me, itâs very difficult to get in and out. The bath towels are thin and feel like sandpaper. The bed (a foldout couch) is hard and uncomfortable. When the bed is unfolded, the only places left to sit are a couple of uncomfortable chairs. The chairs in the kitchen are uncomfortable as well. No AC, so you sleep with the windows cracked and get eaten alive by mosquitoes. It has a washer, so thatâs a plus.
We loved our stay at Valerieâs apartment. First, we required a late check-in due to a delayed flight, and Valerie was incredibly accommodating, working to arrange a way for us to receive the keys. Upon entering the apartment itself, I was stunned by how charming, clean, comfortable, and well-decorated it is. It immediately felt like a home away from home-every detail is considered, from the adorable cross-stitch hanging in the kitchen, to the lovely tile in the bathroom. Once we get around to exploring the city, we were thrilled to learn that the apartment is in the absolute center of all the tourist attractions- the medieval bridge is less than a minute away, the Palais is a five minute walk, the Rue de Vernet is a five minute walk, and the train station is a fifteen minute walk, if you want to take a day trip to Nimes or Marseille.
If you see this apartment available, do not hesitate to book! You will be charmed and comfortable for your entire stay.
Excellent apartment in great location. Ground floo
The apartment is a few steps to Papal Palace and to the wall. Easy to locate from any part of town as we would use the soaring cathedral tower as a landmark- european streets can go round and round in circles! Quiet- no raging parties. Garden outlook. Ground floor- a bonus for suitcases. Not recommended if you don't like sleeping in a bunk bed- although the bed is very comfortable.
