What a terrific place! The apartment was as advertised, just fine for sleeping and showering, on the small side, but that is to be expected for an apartment in that part of Paris. The location is what sells it. You are walking distance to so much and very close to a metro station that will get you anywhere. Had a terrific visit.
Super location- could hardly be better! Great communication with property manager. The windows are about 6 feet from the floor -- lots of good light but no view. As others said, you take a VERY SMALL elevator up to the 4th floor and then carry your luggage up one more very narrow staircase. This was no problem for us, but keep it in mind. Bed was comfortable and there's a futon to sit on but the two side chairs have broken springs or something in the seats so you can't really sit in them for long. Kitchenette and bath were just fine.
The location of this property is excellent. It's close to a couple of metro lines, a grocery store and a lot of restaurants. That's the good news. The bad news is the property is pretty old and dated. It could use an upgrade. While there is an elevator, there is still one more flight of stairs up a narrow staircase that is somewhat difficult with luggage. .
This property has a great location. Easy to communicate with owner and access to the property. It is small, but worked just fine for our family of four. There are a lot of stairs to climb if you are not comfortable with this. There is a tiny lift, but it only fits two people. We would recommend.
I was impressed that the pictures on line were exactly what my room was like!! I had a great view out of my windows( had to climb up to see!)- I had a coffee maker that I knew how to use; and there were glasses, dishes, utensils, pans, and a microwave and toaster. There was also a washing machine. My place was quaint, clean, and wonderful!! I would 100% recommend Alienorâs apartment to anyone desiring to be in the heart of the city!! Thank you- merci đ

Great centrally located apartment.
In a charming older building, cozy, quiet, and secure. Close to metro stations on both sides of the Seine (Pont Marie on the Right Bank, St. Michel on the Left Bank, and Cite on the Ile de la Cite). Berthillon is about a half block away, ATM within 50 yards, Notre Dame about 400 yards away, etc., etc. , it's probably one of the best apartment rental deals in the city.

Needs a good cleaning.
The apartment is in a wonderful location. The big problem is the cleanliness of the apartment. It does not appear to be thoroughly cleaned between stays. The floors are very dirty. The toilet, sink and tub are clean, but the walls and floor leave something to be desired. We found the shower hard to use without getting the floors wet. Check in was easy and efficient. It just needs some care to make it a great place.
This apartment is small but ideally situated close to all the main tourist sights. The bed is comfortable and the apartment well equipped if you need to cook. Who does in Paris when there are so many fine places to eat within walking distance. As website says no views from the small high windows but downstairs you are next to the Seine with views to the Marais. Apartment has a washing machine but no dryer and nowhere to dry clothes which is a problem. Also a small lift to 4th Floor to get suitcases up. Note small narrow steps up to the aparment from lift. A great place to be for a week.
Fantastic location! An easy stroll to Notre Dame. My mom and I made a quick trip to Paris to celebrate our birthdays. We stayed only 5 nights and loved trying different cafes in the area rather than preparing meals but the kitchen is very functional. There are 2 beds available (one is a fold out couch) and both were really comfortable. This apartment was easy to find and clean and very quiet for such a central location; we were met on time for a quick check in. The location is so wonderful; I would stay again should I ever make it back to Paris! Only thing that could easily be improved and would make this place even better would be some new towels and spare pillow cases for the extra pillows. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
My wife and I both retired teachers living near San Diego and have been to Paris many times...Our favorite place to rent an apartment is on ile st. louis..The island is magical.Alienor's apartment was perfect for us....location was, of course, a 10 !..We were met exactly when we had arranged and helped to the apartment with our bags. The apartment, by Paris standards, is easily spacious enough. It was a delight to have a functioning kitchen and a fridge that had a small freezer....ice and magnum bars !!..The elevator was convenient and worked very well....The bed was large and comfortable and the bathroom....with a washing machine in it !!....was very large....Just a terrific experience and we would love to stay there again if we're able to return to Paris next year...Gary and Gerry....
The Ile St Louis apartment was a wonderful place to stay. It was clean, the bed comfortable, plenty of hot water and good water pressure. I was met on time by the ownerââs representative, who answered all my questions. The apartment has a washing machine (the spin cycle has to be set manually each time) and it is great since I only travel with a carry on bag. Ile St Louis is quiet and very safe. Many excellent resturants on the island, 3 bakeries within a few hundred feet, and a fruit market that will squeeze fresh orange juice each morning, is around the corner. One can walk to many of the sights of Paris, but the Pont Marie metro stop is literally within sight of the front door. Apartment is perfect for a couple, or a single. The âkitchenâ is not equiped for cooking, just morning tea or coffee. So plan on eating out, but why else come to Paris!! The bathroom has a tub shower, so one must be able to step over the side of the tub safely. There is an elevator to the 4th floor and then a short (but narrow) 8 or 9 steps up to the apartment. This is a wonderful apartment, and at the price for the location cant be beaten. I have stayed in Paris over a dozen times, and considering all factors, this is a 5 Star property. I laughed when I read the review that was critical of the size of the apartment and the lack of view from the windows. If one wants to stay at a Ritz Carlton, then do so, but dont bring those expectations to Paris, you miss the whole point of a different culture. Heartily recommend.

Great location and wonderful little place to lay your head.
We had a great time staying at this apartment. Ăle Saint Louis is a wonderful location, near so many of Paris' wonders. The apartment is small, but has everything you need. We were only there to change clothes and sleep. If you are more of a person to spend time at the apartment and not be out all day, it might not be for you. Check-in and check-out were simple and everything was clean and made available for us to use.
This is a very plain, small apartment, but the location and price would be hard to beat. It's at the top of a multi-unit building located right on the river next to a bridge. As it is at the top of the building there are sloping ceilings and only small windows located near the ceiling - for air and light, but no views. There is a small elevator that fits two people or one person and a bag. But, the location is incredible right off a main pedestrian street with shops, bakeries, restaurants, cafes and Berthillon ice cream available on every corner. A 5 minute walk to Notre Dame, a farmers market and just a generally picturesque walking area all around. So, yes, it has everything - a bed, a small kitchen, heater, windows for fresh air, bathroom with an oddly shaped bath/shower with no lack of hot water, small elevator, washing machine + drying rack and they even provide a euro hairdryer that works great - so it's all good on function, but no beauty. You aren't going to want to spend much time or make meals here. But, you're in Paris, so assuming you are out all day, eating lovely food and enjoying the city, this apartment definitely more than gets the job done.
Great Location - most attractions are within walking distance
The accomodation is small but sufficient. The kitchen utensils were very average with cracks and chips in plates and mugs. Pillows were poor and there was mould in the bedroom closet. The welcome was brief and did not really set us up with any advice to help us settle into Paris. The tour of the unit was brief but adequate. All the travel information in the apartment was in French and of no help to an English speaker.
The apartment does need some small investment to bring it up to and acceptable standard - it would not take much care and attention.
We had such a fantastic time staying in this apartment! The location is absolutely incredible; it's right across the bridge from the metro, there are restaurants, bakeries, and shops all just steps away, Notre Dame is a short walk away, and it's right on the Seine. There is a wine shop and small locally owned market nearby if you would like to purchase groceries-we typically cooked breakfast at the apartment before adventuring around for the day.
The apartment itself was perfect for myself, husband, and three year old daughter. Three adults would perhaps be a squeeze but doable as well. The internet worked well, the kitchen was well equipped, and having a washing machine was very helpful too. The bed was very comfortable, and it was super helpful that the building has a small elevator. There are still one more small flight of stairs after coming up the elevator, which was no problem at all.
Overall, we loved our experience and would absolutely stay in this apartment again. Checking in and out was simple and Freddy (Alienor'a cleaner who greeted us) was friendly and helpful.
Don't hesitate to book this apartment; it truly made our Paris experience all the better.
My wife and I spent 9 lovely days in this wonderful apartment. The bed was quite comfortable and it was great having the couch in the living room to relax on. I am already looking forward to a return visit.
This little place is great! There were 3 of us and although cozy, it had everything you might need and more. Washing machine, bathtub, elevator -- these were the specific things I was looking for that other places didn't have. The neighborhood is great and quiet, but just a couple minutes' walk to hustle and bustle if you want to go out. My favorite part of every day was 1) waking up, 2) realizing I was in Paris and 3)standing up on the bed or a chair in the bathroom to look out at the magical view of the Seine, Musee Pompidou, Montmartre... Wow!! and 4) jumping down to get my camera and take more pictures of this enchanting scene in different lights... We had a great stay -- thank you Alienor!
There are several aspects of the property's advertising which are simply not true. It does NOT sleep four people, unless two of them are midgets. The entire English website needs to be written by someone who knows English. The descriptions of the beds and their locations are not correct; thus one bed which she claims to be in the "living room" is actually in the kitchen. In order to use this as a bed, the kitchen and eating area are no longer functional. Suggest owner simply call it what it is . . .sleeps two. The contract is poorly written, again in hard-to=translate English, and it contains NO information on the cancellation policy. When we tried to engage the owner about the policy, she simply declined to be helpful and spell it out for us. The payment options are garbled. Simply put, the owner needs to clean up the website and contract and make things clear in English (if indeed that is her target market). Further misstatements include the fact that one CANNOT see the River Seine, period, unless you are 8 ft. tall to see down out of the elevated windows. Same goes for the claim that one sees rooftops. Simply put, why not be truthful, tell it straight and rely on the magnificent LOCATION which is central to historic Paris? Other comments would be that this apartment was tired, the dishes and glasses chipped, moldings were dusty, the bathroom floor needed a "deep cleaning." In summer, we cannot imagine how hot and stifling it would be without air conditioning. Finally, the housekeeper, Mamun, told us we had to take out the garbage when we left. We asked about the garbage bags to put it in, and he told us we had to buy our own! Seriously? We have to buy their garbage bags? For a rental, this is B.S. The website doesn't say " fully equipped except bring your own garbage bags." Lovely location, price is good, but the whole situation needs to be tightened up by the owner.
