Authentic Parisian experience in the heart of the city. The older building gives you the feel of stepping back in time and to live life in Paris as it must have been for the past century. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Cant think of a better location in Paris. Very central and there are loads of cool restaurants in the immediate area. Apartment itself is ok. Hide a bed is actually fairly comfortable.
My sister and I travelled to Paris for the Olympic games. This apartment is accessible by transit and is within walking distance of some of the main tourist attractions in the city centre. Many cafes and restaurants were nearby, and there was a great grocery store to pick up essentials for the week. Although the apartment is small, it was perfect for us. Karine was easy to communicate with and provided helpful recommendations for travelling into the city centre from the airport. We would definitely stay here again.
We stayed for one week and found the apartment to be very nice and extremely well located. The location was very quiet and the apartment had everything we needed and felt like a home away from home. We would very definitely stay here again.
A comfy and fully-equipped apartment in a great location. I've stayed in many different apartments in Paris, and this one is warm and cozy and a great jumping-off point for exploring the city. And Karine is a wonderful host and easy to work with.
The place is perfect if you're not too picky about amenities and just need a place to sleep. The bed is a pull-out couch, which I did not realize when I booked the place.
The location was very ideal for us! Close to restaurants, the Louvre, and trains.
The building does not seem to like outsiders as there were signs posted that house rentals are not allowed. Karine was very responsive and assured us that she was in the process of taking care of the situation but it made us feel a little nervous about being there. The building was pretty quiet though and we only ran into one of the tenants over our 5 day stay.
Karine was very helpful and made the process incredibly easy. Overall, the price was good for Paris given how good of a location it is in (less than a 10-minute walk to the Louvre, near the Latin Quarter & Luxembourg Gardens, and lots of food options nearby). The only "negatives" would be that it is a small apartment with a small kitchen and bathroom/shower, and the bed is just a pull-out sofa. It was two of us (both around 5'6"-5'7") with luggage and it worked well, but we mainly used it as a place to sleep - we spent limited time hanging out at the apartment and didn't cook much.
A few things that turned us off:
Folding sleeper that you have trouble getting in or out because of metal frame sticking out.
Pillows with strange smell.
Bathroom without a door
Silver and dishes that was not very clean.
Two things stand out for me about this fine apartment - it is in a great location and the host was particularly helpful on matters such as check in, which I've found is not always the case. She had her assistant meet me to show me all the various things I needed to know - how to navigate the security, operate the laundry, etc.
Some comments have suggested this apartment is best only for singles, but I think it is fine for a couple.
The small elevator might be an issue for some people, but it beats walking up 5 flights.
I can't comment on cooking facilites as I ate out all the time, but the small kitchen area seemed well supplied.
The apartment has a washer, but not a dryer. I found it easy to use (but only because I was shown how).
The bath didn't have an obvious way to position the shower, but it was manageable.
Great neighborhood - lots of restaurants in the area. A few minutes walk will take you to the Pont de Neuf.
I would definitely book this apartment again when in Paris.
The apartment is perfect for one or two. I was fortunate to have a leisurely three weeks. It is in an area of galleries, bookshops, and cafes. At the end of the street are the Seine and Pont Neuf, and a short way in the other direction is Rue de Buci, with its concentration of cafes and often street musicians. Also near are the cafes Flore and Deux Magots, Eglise Saint Germain des Pres, Saint Sulpice, and Jardin du Luxemburg. Sainte Chapelle and the Louvre are a little more than ten minute's walk, one upstream, the other downstream. The location could not be better.
The small apartment itself is remarkably quiet. Sunny, it looks out to rooftops and a narrow lane.
It felt quite roomy to me. There is a desk/dining table at one end of the main room and a very easy-to-unfold and comfortable sofabed at the other. There is plenty of closet and storage space along with a well-equipped cozy kitchen. The small elevator is modern and quiet. I turned eighty-two during my stay and appreciated that it was reliably there when needed. Karine and her staff are easily available if you have a question. Did I already say âperfectâ?
I would be pleased to stay there again.
We stayed at this apartment for 15 nights and will stay again if we get the chance to return to the city! There are a lot of reasons to stay here but the two biggest are location and security! You simply canât beat the location â it is very near to the Pont Neuf bridge. The area around the entry door to the apartment building feels very secure and, just in case it isnât, the building has two security doors to enter before crossing a courtyard to access the elevator to rise to the apartment.
Youâll find the location is close to three Metro stations â Pont Neuf, Saint Micheal and Odeon and numerous bus stops including the scenic Bus 69. Youâre also within a block of four restaurants and bars â all of which weâd recommend. A few blocks away youâll find Paul where we ate breakfast with coffee and hot chocolate almost every morning. Directly across the road from Paul, on the sidewalk, are fruit, cheese and salami/sausage stands. A grocery store is also located next door to Paul. Lots of shopping and restaurant options within walking distance.
If youâre looking for a posh updated apartment for your stay this is not for you, but if youâre looking for a comfortable apartment for one to two people and plan to spend your time exploring the city, this is the perfect place for you! The handheld shower has plenty of hot water and water pressure! The kitchen is stocked with anything youâd need and there were plenty of paper products. We experienced cold and warm weather during our visit and appreciated the two electric heaters and two fans provided for our comfort. The apartment is on the top floor and there is good airflow with the windows open â amazingly, itâs also very quiet with very little street noise. The sofa bed was very comfortable - we left it pulled out. The Wifi worked well and there were plenty of electrical outlets. The convenience of having a washing machine cannot be overstated and the instructions we received were very easy to follow. We used either the heater or a fan to quickly dry the clothes overnight as they hung to dry over the tub.
The owner very quickly responded to any questions we had and we literally had no issues during our stay there. You canât go wrong staying at this apartment â itâs a great value and allows easy access to the beautiful city of Paris!
If you make it to the Galway Irish Pub say hello for us â they will welcome you, make you feel at home and the food is good too!
I wanted to stay in the heart of the City at a reasonable rate and this was the place! Half a block from the Seine and another few steps to Pont Neuf. Now, this is someone's house and it is cluttered, If that bothers you don't stay here. Host is super nice and helpful. The layout is hard to tell from the pictures, so i'll try to describe it to help you see if this place is right for you. The main room has the sofa bed and a table and chairs. The other section of the house has a separate toilet, a small kitchen, and a shower sink area that doesn't have a proper door for privacy. Keep this in mind if that's an issue. It was a little awkward staying with a friend. Plenty of good restaurants nearby and easy Metro access. Small elevator fits two people. We were there during a heatwave and there is no air conditioning but host provided two big fans which helped us sleep
First and foremost -- the location was fantastic for my husband's first visit to Paris! The street was quiet for being in the middle of a very busy city area. We are both fit seniors - 65+ & the walking access was central to cafes, shops, museums and churches. We were able to walk to all the locations we had planned to visit. The apartment itself was a perfect size for 2 people. Somewhat cluttered with personal books and curios which was fine with us. The elevator was definitely worth commenting on - fortunately we are small people, if any larger, it would have been a challenge -- lol.
All in all, a delightful experience and Karine and Ariane were very accommodating for us.
If location is important to you and you are not overly picky this apt is a wonderful choice. It is an older apt with character, and with age come a few quirks but also a lot of charm. After 6 days and 50 miles of walking (obviously we love to walk) I do not believe you could find a better location for an apartment in Paris for a visitor. It has excellent proximity to many of the famous attractions. It's a 9 iron (125 meters) from the river. And surrounded by a plethora of restaurants, bars, shops, art galleries, etc. The apt is quaint, roomy enough for two. The only reason for not getting 5 stars is the mattress on the sofa bed could be better, truly my only concern. World's tiniest elevator, which was very cool and kind of fun to put two people in actually. Karine and Ariane are wonderful to work with!
This rental was the smallest place we have occupied in half a dozen visits to Paris, but it had one of the best locations. It worked fine for 2 people and had the amenities we needed. We appreciated the small elevator for getting us and our luggage up and down the 5 flights of stairs. We enjoyed being in the old part of the city with its narrow streets, which we explored thoroughly on our daily walks, and we easily found our way to Blvd St. Germain, Les Halles, the Marais, and other parts of town. Our visit was only for four days, but they were very good days!

My husband & I needed a place for 4 nights before boarding a river cruise. We wanted the typical Paris apartment experience & wanted to be able to walk or metro around the city. This studio was just perfect. Though itâs on the 5th floor, thereâs an elevator to get your luggage up & down. It was well equipped, including a washing machine. Karineâs communication was quick & she had 2 darling ladies available to help from checkin to checkout. There were so many places nearby to eat or pickup groceries. We canât wait to back! Merci beaucoup Karine, Yasmina & Nathalie for making our 1st stay in Paris memorable!
Our first trip to Paris and we quickly felt we were at home here. Location was just what we hoped and spent four days walking everywhere. Arrived around rush hour on a week day but communication was excellent and we were greeted and moved in with ease. Merci!
This apartment is on a nice street in a great neighborhood with restaurants, galleries, and shops all around. Karine was very communicative about checking in and showing us around her home. We didnât need anything during our stay but felt we could easily be in touch if something came up.
