We have spent a fantastic week in San Francisco. The appartment was cosy and located in a great area. A super market and a microbrew were only a few blocks away.
We enjoyed our stay at this unit. It was clean, quiet, stylish and nicely decorated. The one issue was not a big deal for us, but could see it being a problem for older travelers or those with limited mobility or balance issues. There are a number of what I will call "unexpected" elevation changes: steps in weird places (entrance, closets, jacuzzi) that might make it unsafe or--at least--inconvenient for some folks. Otherwise if that is not a factor I would highly recommend this unit.
Great location for Golden Gate Park and Japantown. Street parking was available overnight for free. Owners even left pasta and sauce for guests- so thoughtful after a long travel day
This property is in a quaint neighborhood which allowed us to feel like a local. The buildings have beautiful architecture and character. This home had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We really enjoyed staying there and would likely do so again when traveling to San Francisco.
This is a delightful way to get to know the traditional San Francisco. It's a joy to walk down the street and admire the houses. The apartment was clean, comfortable, felt safe, and the WiFi worked. The lady who manages the rentals was proactive about communicating information and responsive to requests.
Celia's place is a treasure in the heart of San Fran
An apartment tucked away in the heart of san fran...out of the touristy areas but accessible to everything. The layout is thoughtful and cozy. Our boys, ages 9 and 12 loved that they each had their own beds. The kitchen is equipped with everything and allowed us to eat breakfast there every morning before we started our day. We had a rental car in order to explore Muir Woods, but if you dont plan on driving too far, use Uber or Muni to avoid moving your car in the 2 hr parking zones.
Celiaâs home (coupled w Elgaâs hospitality) is the best way to go for an authentic SF experience. We had 6 women in the apartment for 3 nights and felt totally comfortable and accommodated all weekend. They really know how to maximize space, not to mention the fabulously chic finishes. Perfectly proximal to a variety of spunky neighborhoods. We had the most amazing girlsâ weekend and are sure to go back! Thanks for the memories!
This is a great location for quick access to everything. We Uber'd wherever we wanted to go with quick service. Only complaint is the vent wasn't working so we built a lot of humidity after everyone showered and had to open windows.
Lovely and spacious property. We had a great time. Noise was a bit loud from upstairs one night, but it sounded like there was a great time being had! I'd recommend some earplugs for sensitive travelers. The space had everything we needed, and easily slept the number advertised. Really lovely home, and great location. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to other travelers.
Comfortable and very stylish apartment in a perfect location!
What a treat to stay in a beautiful Victorian in the heart of SF. My husband, I, and our two grown sons thought the apartment was well equipped and provided us with ample space. The flowers and fruit bowl were a really nice touch. We also enjoyed the neighborhood with a great variety of restaurants and shops.
This was a gem of place in the heart of the city, with easy access of most of the city highlights. Celia was also gracious enough to allow a family celebration that accommodated 12 of us very comfortably one evening. We cooked, relaxed, had long conversations -- all in the comfort of this cozy place.
Every bit of space is utilized with a very well thought out layout.
It would be great if there was away to have an additional half bath at least since the house can accommodate 4+ people. However this was easier to plan and overlook given all the other comforts (beds with firm mattresses, gas burner!, nespresso machine :) etc.)
A couple of things to note -
There are a couple of uneven slabs on the entryway to the house. Please watch your step.
The bathtub is deep. In case of limited mobility, the walls are a good support.
Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a home away from home in SF.
Walking distance to cafe's and restaurants, which was a bonus. We stayed there for ease of getting to Golden Gate Park and Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival, 2.5 miles away. The only reason why I gave it 4 out of 5 stars, is we thought we were going to break our necks each time we took a shower. They need a safety bar, as it's super slippery getting in and out.
Gave 4 star instead of 5 because the noise from the apartment overhead was loud and disturbing even into the night. It sounded like regular living noises but seems no insulation to buffer the walking above.
Safety bars on or near the bath tub would be helpful and safer for getting into and out
We loved the neighborhood the apartment was very comfortable very clean bedding was nice beds were comfortable. I would recommend to someone but would have to offer a warning about the overhead noise.
--Property was perfect size for 3 adults
--Great location. Buses easy to catch. Small and large groceries/liquor stores just blocks away. Brewhouse was walking distance. Good places to eat breakfast (Brenda's Meat and Three was exceptional). and lunch are walking distance. Hard to find a place close to have a late dinner. Great neighborhoods to walk in the morning before doing the tourist thing.
--Loved the decor. Very cool. Place was super clean.
--Make sure you buy a Muni bus pass at a Walgreens to make your trip easier.
--Only drawback was no ESPN on the TV package.
--Owner quick to respond to all questions before and after booking!
Clean, spacious, well-equipped, beautiful decor and great location!
Celia and her assistant Ella were so helpful and accommodating both before and during our stay. The apartment was absolutely lovely, we had lots of space and everything we needed. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in San Francisco and would highly recommend this space!
