Very clean, very well maintained and tastefully decorated private apartment. Bathroom fixtures are all new and great quality, toiletries are high quality as well. Good location close to North Berkeley shops/restaurants as well as Tilden Park trails. Easy driveway parking, especially for the Berkeley hills! Quiet and peaceful.

This was an exceptional VRBO experience. Karla has thought of everything. The place is extremely clean, nicely decorated, and in an amazing location. I did not want to leave! I felt so comfortable there and could really relax.

I had a wonderful stay at this apartment. The highlight for me was the beautiful deck overlooking the lush garden, with views of the bay in the distance. It was such a peaceful and relaxing setting. I loved spending time out on the balcony reading and working on my laptop.The apartment itself is recently renovated and in impeccable condition. Everything felt fresh, clean, and thoughtfully designed. It was spotless, comfortable, and spacious.The owner clearly puts a lot of care into the little details. The extra amenities were such a nice touch. Bathroom essentials, a nice welcome basket, and beautiful artwork throughout the space made it feel special and welcoming.Overall, it was a truly wonderful stay, and I would absolutely come back again. Highly recommend!

This is a fantastic place to stay without question. The Host, Karla, is available on-demand and very responsive. The place has a full kitchen very well appointed. Sitting on the deck to watch sunset was an added bonus. Very private and quiet. Will be back for sure.

Well, this place is too good to tell you about! But in fairness, I will. It is a simple, quiet, and clean home away from home! It was a very relaxing, beautiful, and calming place to stay. I loved the bed and pillows... the pillows might be a bit much if you prefer a smaller one. It is attached to the main house, so please keep in mind. Although we felt we had complete privacy, I talked loudly and laughed like I am at a comedy show, and I am not sure how well they could hear me. LOLWe will be back to find some rest!!!

A great little place with a great view! The shower is awesome, bed is comfortable, communication was good, and the kitchen has everything you need. The location was perfect, we were able to walk to the Greek Theater. All in all a perfect spot!

Karla is a superb host. My rental was beautifully and tastefully appointed, with lovely and engaging fine art throughout. Snacks, tea, and coffee provided and much appreciated. Well-stocked kitchen utensils, amazing shower, and immaculately clean throughout. So peaceful and quiet, with a zen-like balcony (what a view of San Francisco Bay!) and terraced gardens. It’s one of the best VRBOs I’ve ever stayed in. I hope to return again next year!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Karla's apt. The neighborhood was quiet, the deck view was lovely, and the room was just perfect for us. A lot of kitchen amenities, well stocked linens, etc. Karla was easy to communicate with, and the property was surprisingly easy to get to from downtown Berkeley. We give this the perfect score; a wonderful place to stay!

This was one of my best VRBO experiences. The studio is very welcoming and comfortable. Karla was great with communication. There are quality and thoughtful touches throughout, like good towels, hooks where you want them, night lights. Sitting on the back deck among the redwoods watching the fog lift off the bay in the morning was wondrous. I didn’t want to leave. I will definitely try to stay here again.

Peaceful, clean with a well stocked kitchen

The kitchen was amazing. Literally everything you would need to cook a hearty breakfast or gourmet dinners. Stunning view. Peaceful location. A great place for a couple of two people. The fold out bed had a mattress topper which made it super comfortable. Impeccably clean with a very responsive host. Off-street parking worked great. I hope my daughter gets accepted to Berkeley so I can stay there again!

Perfect hillside getaway

Karla’s studio is an ideal pied a terre. It’s an easy walk to campus, cafes, restos and shops. While close to amenities it also offers privacy and serenity as it’s tucked into the hillside, surrounded by trees and gardens. The studio was very clean and well appointed. Karla was a warm host, helpful and responsive to questions. I already dream of returning!

Exactly as advertised and exceeded expectations! Karla (owner) is hands down the best host I’ve ever experienced. Polite, remarkably responsive and welcoming. Studio was very clean, well equipped, roomy and updated. Karla even provided a partition between the living and sleeping areas to allow us more privacy. Bed is comfy as well as the sleep sofa. Loved making breakfasts in the full kitchen. The large deck is a serene place to relax and take in the stunning redwoods and the views. Driveway parking and private entry are added bonuses. If trying to decide between a hotel or this lovely studio, do yourself a favor and enjoy this peaceful retreat.

Great location in the Berkeley Hills

The place has been perfect for us. The kitchen is great with all the little things we need to prepare food plus the extras like storage containers, aluminum foil and even parchment paper and composting. The bed is very comfortable. We enjoyed having dinner on the deck with a view of the bay. The cover for the outdoor furniture keeps it fresh and clean. We appreciate having a spot to park in the driveway. The location is ideal and it has been easy to get to the various places we have been going in Berkeley and Albany as well as walks through the roads and paths in the hills. We look forward to staying here again.

A Serene Escape in the Heart of the City

My boyfriend and I truly enjoyed our 3-night stay at this property and genuinely wished we could’ve stayed longer. The location was fantastic. We were in town to attend a show at the Greek Theater and were able to walk there and back, which was incredibly convenient. We did rent a car for other parts of our trip, so having a designated driveway parking spot was a huge plus.The space was spotless — and I have high standards when it comes to cleanliness. The kitchen was very well-equipped, which made it easy to prepare some of our own meals. The layout of the studio is thoughtfully designed, offering plenty of space to relax and unwind. There’s a large closet area with hangers and a full dresser, making it easy to settle in and feel at home. The bathroom was modern and luxurious, with a spa-like shower featuring multiple shower heads — a definite highlight! The bed was firm yet very comfortable, with plenty of soft, cozy blankets.Communication with the host was excellent — she was consistently responsive, kind, and helpful. She provided very clear check-in and check-out instructions and a guidebook for the unit and the area. Our favorite aspect of the property was how peaceful and serene it felt. Despite being in the city, the environment was quiet and relaxing. Enjoying a cup of coffee or a glass of wine on the private deck was a real treat.We highly recommend this property and will absolutely stay here again if we have the chance to return to Berkeley.
