ENCANTO DO DUQUE est un appartement charmant au coeur de Lisbonne - quartier Chiado, à proximité de Largo do Carmo.
Confortable et calme dans le quartier le plus élégant de la ville.
Rua do Duque (rue piétonne - centre historique de Lisbonne) jouit d´une atmosphère enchantée.
Environnement très familier et sympatique, restaurants de cuisine traditionnelle portugaise à bon prix, ainsi que de belles esplanades et des anciens cafés.
Emplacement très pratique , nombreux intérêts sont accessibles à pied, vraiment un endroit parfait!
Un seul appartement par étage et un immeuble de seulement 3 étages.
Une fois à l'intérieur du bâtiment, il n'y a pas d'ascenseur ni d'escalier pour entrer dans l'appartement.
Depuis toujours nous avons l'habitude de présenter l'appartement très propre et nous prenons une pause de deux nuits entre chaque séjour, ce qui facilite l'aération de la maison ainsi que des horaires de check in et check out.
Nous entretenons une relation de confiance avec nos invités qui répètent déjà leur séjour chez nous! Des invités heureux, des propriétaires heureux!

Our host Sofia was excellent. She met us at the property and gave us lots of information on things to do, where to find things such as supermarkets and tram lines, places to eat. The apartment was small but suited us perfectly. It was really well equipped and had supplies of everything you could need. The location was perfect too as we like to stay in the centre of a city. When we next go to Lisbon, this would be the place we would want to stay, cannot praise Sofia or the apartment enough. Thank you!

Cozy place with excellent location!

We stayed here for 3 days and it was absolutely wonderful how easy it was to reach some of the main tourist attractions in Baixa Chiado, we were practically surrounded by it! Some of my favorite food that we had in Lisbon was on the same street the apartment is on (several good options), and the apartment itself was very cute and practical for our stay. For couples or small groups that are looking to get to a lot of attractions, restaurants, bars, and shopping all by foot this place is perfect.

Great location, excellent host, if you close the windows it’s super quiet. The only thing not incredible is the bed was very hard ( if you like that you are good!) there is no space around the bed so if you need to get up at night you have to crawl over the person closest to the door (thank goodness I’m small!) I’d love to see a fan available to use in the bedroom. Once you close everything up it’s very warm in the bedroom. I’d stay again for the Host and location!

Thank you so much for your visit. I wish you had told me what you liked least, as I am fully available to help throughout your stay. We've been renting the house since 2010, and we've been very careful about the mattress brand we buy. We've always chosen the same brand because guests have said they really like it. It's an orthopedic mattress, extremely comfortable, as many guests report, and not hard. I apologize, but your description isn't true. However, it's not a sinking mattress. The vast majority of people don't like a sinking mattress because it hurts their back. But it's not a hard mattress either; it's orthopedically ideal. The bedroom mattress and the sofa bed mattress are super comfortable; we take care of that. Regarding the space, the photographs are accurate, and anyone can tell it's a very cute little house on a super-nice street in central Lisbon. It's 40 square meters and comfortable for city travelers; it's not a house where you'll spend hours enjoying your own home during the day. It's a super practical and cozy space for sleeping and exploring the city. Regarding the temperature, the house has incredibly thick walls and maintains a very comfortable room temperature, keeping it cool in the summer and warming up quickly in the winter. It turns out you experienced an unusually hot week in September, where it was hot everywhere you went. The bedroom, living room, and kitchen have a super safe and practical way to let air flow through the windows without having to open the window completely, as I showed you when you arrived. If you had left it like that, the air would have flowed. , I'm sorry you didn't talk to me more, as I'm always available to improve my guests' stay, I can always go to the house and explain a second time how things work, I can help with anything the guest needs, and you didn't look for me for the issues mentioned, which, furthermore, contain details that are out of touch with reality. You are always welcome in Lisbon! I hope you feel more comfortable next time. Sometimes it's hard to please everyone. When we have guests for so many years, there are always people who like this concept more than others. All the best!

Sofía is a wonderful, friendly, and helpful host. Favorite things: homey little apartment in the heart of the city, yet you can close the windows and it is quiet for sleeping. Well stocked for the space and very functional for making our breakfasts and lunches. Would recommend and stay again.

Perfect place to stay and explore Lisbon

It was such a great experience. The owner Sofia met me at 7.15 am on Sunday Morning. Her warm welcome was so much appreciated. She is by fare the best representative of Portugiese hospitality and kindness. Great apartment. Stayed for 2 weeks and felt like home.

Wonderful Stay!

This apartment is in the perfect location! It's right in the middle of the city and has easy access to the train station and all central locations for meeting. Plus Sofia is amazing! She greeted us personally and not only oriented us to the apartment but was able to provide recommendations on what to do in all neighborhoods of Lisbon and how to get there. One of the best experiences I've ever had and I would most definitely stay with her again!

All you need in a great location

Sofia and her 1 bedroom were a wonderful start to my Portugal trip. Sofia gave perfect directions by metro from the airport. She met me upon checkin, gave me fantastic recommendations for dinner and a fado night. This apartment has everything that is needed for a stay in Lisbon. It’s situated in a good spot in the city. Very safe at night and not too loud. Sofia is a wonderful host and had fruit and juice when I arrived. I would definitely stay here again.

Best host EVER!

The property is located within walking distance of the underground and not far from main attractions. It quite literally is in the middle of everything. At the same time, it is tucked in off a little street. The host by far was the best we’ve ever had. She met us at the property and gave us information about the area and how to get around. She explained how everything in the apartment worked. She also supplied some basic foods for the first day or so, which was really appreciated after such a long flight from the United States. After we took a nap, we had an apple some bread and cheese. It was lovely. I would highly recommend staying here if you wanna go out and see everything.

Excellent!

It’s easy to give a five star rating when everything goes as planned, but I am happy to give a five star rating where there was an actual problem. The reason is that the communication and attentiveness of the problem was above and beyond. The responsiveness was incredible. The refrigerator failed, and the property owners were on site within an hour and purchased a new refrigerator within two hours. The location, cleanliness and responsiveness of the hosts were all superb. This property is incredibly well-maintained. I felt like I was treated as a family friend. I highly recommend this property.

Great location! Great landlady!

Although the apartment is small, Sofia, the landlady, provides everything one could need for a comfortable and fun stay in a wonderful city. She has thought of many little touches: extra towels, a bottle of juice and some biscuits, teas, spices, olive oil, and more. All these made it easier to stay in an apartment in Lisbon. But Sofia is also an ace at giving one recommendations for things to see, places to eat, places for day trips. The apartment is in the heart of the tourist part of Lisbon. One can walk (or take the Metro easily) to other parts of the city from there. After a day's exploring, we were always happy to come home to this peaceful little place. We recommend it highly!

Great little apt in the center of it all.

We stayed here for 6 nights in Sept 2024. Charming 1 bedroom unit on the ground floor in a building in the historic neighborhood, located just steps away from everything, surrounded by cafes, restaurants, Fado music, supermarkets, squares, bars, metro and train stations. The location couldn't be any better! From the moment of booking, communication with Sofia, the wonderful host, has been A+++++. She met us at the apartment, shown us great hospitality, gave us so many great tips and recommendations to do the things we're into, and apartment was stocked with goodies. The apartment is very clean and tidy. The living room has a futon sofa, coffee table, and TV. Efficient kitchen with full size fridge and washing machine, Nespresso coffeemaker, built-in table, and enough tableware for few people. The bedroom has a built-in closet and built-in wall shelving, great for unpacking clothes, with plenty of hangers and towels. The bed is quite firm and so comfortable, and even had memory-foam curved pillows. Also small but efficient bathroom with half-size tub & shower and good water pressure. We enjoyed having the windows open to hear the sounds of Lisbon's vibrant life, and closed the windows for 100% soundproofing. We would definitely stay here again. Obrigados!

En plus d’une visite des lieux, elle nous a suggéré plusieurs endroits à visiter et aussi quelques bons restaurants à proximité. En plus, nous avons eu droit à tout pour un bon petit déjeuner et des snacks avec vins et bières. Le studio est très bien situé! Nous avons adoré!

Un hébergement idéal au coeur de Lisbonne

Un appartement très agréable,cosy.L'emplacement est idéal.on peut quasiment tout faire à pieds:le Barrio alto,le baixa chiado,la proximité du Tage. Beaucoup de restaurants tipiques et a des prix très corrects.Tout y est pour passer un excellent moment. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié l'accueil de Sofia,sa gentillesse et les petites attentions à notre arrivée (jus de fruits, corbeille de fruits,petits pains au fromage) Nous reviendrons sans hésitation avec plaisir. Nous recommandons cette location.

Petit appartement très propre et confortable. Bien situé pour visiter Lisbonne. Propriétaire attentionnée et arrangeante.
