We once again enjoyed our stay - the addition of the outside shower was most welcome in the heat wave. Avery cosy casita in a lovely quiet spot. Plan to return.
A lovely casita, private and cosy with beautiful relaxing areas outside. Robert was most helpful with information about the local area and in helping us to arrange transport. An idyllic spot.
What an idyllic property in an idyllic location! We loved our week above Soller. The finca was extremely well equipped and maintained. And our host Robert went out of his way to provide us with all of the information and tips to make the most out of our stay. Would love to come back!
We had a really enjoyable stay for a week in Soller. The property is perfect for a relaxing break surrounded by nature - we even spotted a pine marten from the terrace. Soller and surrounding area are very beautiful. Communication with Robert and Maria was excellent and Robert was able to recommend several excellent hikes which made our stay all the more enjoyable. We certainly hope to visit again.
A beautiful retreat hidden in a garden of carob and olive trees with a backdrop of mountains and a distant view of the sea from the relaxing veranda.
The casita was very comfortable, well equipped and beautifully designed with attention to detail.
Robert was a very hospitable host greeting us with a map and helpful information on the area.
We would love to return .
Cant fault anything about our stay. Robert was a fantastic host and has a wealth of knowledge of the surrounding area. He also took us to the supermarket for provisions. The casita is charming in beautiful surroundings. We were here on a walking holiday and this was a great base. Would definitely return.
Tiny and cosy. Fully equipped kitchen. Wonderful veranda, good to sleep outside too. Lovely garden. Some noisy english family in the neighbourhood for the first few days, but always quiet after 10 p.m. Close enough to town to walk. Close to the mountains also, so that a cool breeze comes down in the evening. We enjoyed the stay.
We had a lovely time exploring Soller and the surrounding area. We used all the local footpath routes and enjoyed the villages. Our evenings were spent relaxing and reading in the garden of our beautiful home for the week The walk into SĂłller centre was 10 minutes and 15 minutes back up the hill, we found everything we needed, bars, restaurants and supermarkets. We loved the train and tram.
A perfect place for a couple to relax and explore the surrounding area.
The property really is a little gem of a place. Spotlessly clean and tidy with all the modern amenities and yet still full of traditional charm and character. There is a great outside space and garden too. Robert the owner was a delight. He was kind enough to drive us to the local supermarket on the first day to pick up supplies and is full of great advice and information about the local area and the Island in general. I hope we can return soon as it really is a beautiful part of the world.
The property had much charm and was in a beautiful location.
We were given a helpful induction by Robert who gave us very useful information about walks and restaurants in the area.
Everything worked well in the cottage, which is small but well equipped, but retains some authentic rustic character.
We loved our holiday in this area ; great walks , food, wine , terrific scenery, bijou villages, wildlife and gardens. The roads are challenging and definitely a smaller car would be the best option if you choose to drive, however public transport seems good - and the walking routes are terrific- well signposted and well maintained.
A tranquil location yet walking distance to village
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the casita. As previously mentioned, Robert is a great host and offered lots of hints and tips, even taking us to and from the supermarket on arrival, which was a great help. The casita is very clean and very well equipped, with everything thought of ( even umbrellas...not that we needed them as the weather was perfect!). It is in a lovely quiet location but only a 12 minute walk downhill to the village (good exercise on the way back up the hill!). We had some great BBQ's and ate in the village on other evenings.
A beautiful, quiet, secluded property. Well equipped. Lots of character. 15 minutes' walk back from the town centre, the second half of it quite steeply uphill. It's worth continuing up the road past the property to Ses Tres Creus. It's a gentle, quiet road walk of about half an hour with magnificent views over Soller.
I canât fault the property. It was exactly what we expected. The distance from town to casita was no problem although we did use a taxi on a couple of occasions to get home. There is a bit of a gradient so when darkness falls it feels like a bit of a trek.
Robert was a first class host who was always available and helpful if necessary. Tiptop!
We had a nice stay in Soller over a week. The equipment is great. There is also a beach umbrella you can use for hot beach days. As we have been there in July it was really hot inside the house, as there is no air conditioning. A highlight was the shower in the garden which was very refreshing. The bed was not the most comfortable one.
But all together we could recommend the house for a stay maybe preferably in the spring and autumn.
I have always been very interested in the Mallorquin building style, architecture, and culture. I have been professionally involved in designing many homes in Soller maintaining the traditional Mallorquin Soller style. The Mallorquin Soller style is quite unique as it is a mixture of different cultures. Many of the older properties were originally built during the Islamic period that at its longest lasted 300 years. You can still see the influence in the names of many villages like Bini Ali or Lluc Alcari or Bini Basi. Even some people claim the name Soller has an Islamic meaning. There were two Islamic periods the last one ending 1229 so there is still lots of traces left, including many minarets in Palma city.
