Stunning Kensington Apartment

Well equipped apartment in the heart of Kensington, very close to shops and amenities. A very large terrace which has sunshine all day. Good for outdoor living with south facing roof garden and lots of seating. Master bedroom has large fully fitted wardrobe. All beds fitted with top quality bed linen, hotel standard. There are at least 3 gyms which are walking distance away who would welcome short term members. One has a swimming pool. The apartment has it own front door on street level. It is a quiet neighbourhood street, very safe and friendly with a village atmosphere. The reason for no recent reviews is because it has been let long term for the last 4 years. However you can read my excellent reviews on my other London property which is close by and is listing number 1080505 on the VRBO website.

Eve was very responsive and helpful. The apartment is very well located in Kensington and has many nice restaurants in the area. Its extremely walkable. Two metro spots close by. The Kensington High Street will take you to most of the landmarks that are further away.

Sunny flat in nice Kensington location

We really enjoyed staying at this flat! Restaurants and pubs maybe 20-30 min walk away. Kensington Olympia tube station 10 min walk. Great living room and kitchen, steep stairs to main level then bedrooms but nice main bedroom and guest bathroom. Host was very responsive about nearby restaurants and dealing with minor electrical and wifi issues. A gem in London!

Worked great!

Exactly as advertised. Easy check in process and walking distance to several public transportation options. The set up worked well for our family of 5 and the kids loved visiting Holland Park in the evenings.

Great Stay

We loved the flat, especially the outdoor space. Eve was very helpful on arrival and I appreciated her help with my bags. The location is great, close to public transportation, restaurants and shopping. It is a space I could live in.

Great vacation rental to explore London

We loved our stay in this Kensington apartment. The neighborhood was quiet with easy access to many dining and shopping options. The closest tube station, High Street Kensington, was 15m walk. The unit has living room and kitchen on the 2nd floor and bedrooms and toilets on the 3rd floor. There are two sets of stairs connecting the street entrance to the upper floors. We were fine with the layout once we got used to it. Eve was a gracious and helpful host. Thank you.

Soccer fan family with Teens

Purpose of our family vacation to London from the US was to visit as many historical sites and soccer stadiums as possible. We needed a place that was clean and comfortable for recharging in the evenings and get a great nights rest. We only used the condo to sleep as we were gone all day exploring the city. With this said, my teens gave the beds a 10 out of 10. The condo had two floors and although an older unit had lots of character and charm. The condo has two flights of stairs which were steep and narrow but the handrails and paying attention to your footing doesn't make them an issue. I gave 4 stars for location because of the distance to the Underground stop, however the morning walks through Holland Park was lovely and location in regards to all the historic sites were fine. West Kensington was a great place for food and shopping. The best feature of this condo was our host, Eve. It was as if we had our own personal tour guide. She was quick to respond to my texts and offer advice on places to eat and visit. We all agreed this condo was awesome and we would stay here again on our next visit.

Great bijoux pad in Kensington

Fabulous property, great location, easy communication with Yvonne. We have stayed at this property before- enjoying being in Kensington but just a short distance from the hubbub and close to Holland Park. Transport is excellent. The apartment is spread over two floors with large lounge room and kitchen and small terrace on first floor and two bedrooms on second. The property has two bathrooms which is really helpful. We live this place. There is a Londis two doors up meaning you don’t have to go far to get your basic essentials and the pub on the corner has great food. Highly recommend this property.

Lovely and convenient property

My teenage twins and I stayed here for a week during their fall break and felt completely at home. The property is clean and comfortable with all essential amenities. The location cannot be beat. It is in a quiet area but only a short walk to the train and the bus which will have you to Trafalgar Square in 30 minutes. Yvonne is quite responsive and very helpful with tips such as where to get groceries etc...We had no difficulty with the stairs, and it was nice having 2 bathrooms. We enjoyed the corner pub on two occasions after a long day of traversing the city which has a nice atmosphere. We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend renting this property!

Loved this flat!

This was a wonderful spot and we are so grateful to have found it. The apartment was clean and comfortable, and the property manager could not have been nicer! While there were more stairs than we'd realized (to get up to the flat and then up to the bedrooms), this was not a problem for our family and we loved that the back patio was raised up a floor and private. I enjoyed my coffee there each morning before a packed day in London, and it was a real treat to spend a week in this lovely part of Kensington. We LOVED getting to know Holland Park and the beautiful streets around it, and once we got the bus routes down we found this location to be absolutely ideal! We hope to return in the near future!

Smart property in great neigbhourhood

The flat was lovely for our family of four... bright, clean and spacious. Location was fantastic with easy access to many attractions. Corner store and shops very close. Worth noting that the flat is on a quiet street but sandwiched between two main arteries which provided for extra city noises which are to be expected when centrally located. Thankfully the windows in the bedroom were double-pained which kept the noise to a minimum. The owner was able to accommodate our early arrival which was very much appreciated. One suggestion for the owner's consideration would be to replace the master mattress as it has seen better days.

A comfortable, well-equipped property in a nice neighborhood in Kensington.

Our group consisted of a 30-something woman, her 60-something mother and their 60-something female cousin. We found the flat to have everything we needed, from hair dryers to fans and space heaters, an excellent satellite TV/DVD system, plenty of towels, even washcloths and bathmats, and we never ran out of hot water. Yvonne provided more clean bed and bath linens half way through our 2-week stay. The location was very convenient; it was about a 15-minute walk to the High Street Kensington Tube station, less if we caught the bus near the corner of Addison Road. There is a convenience store literally 15 steps from the front door which stays open until 10pm and provided almost everything we needed, even our Oyster cards for the Tube and buses. A larger Waitrose grocery store is on the way to the Tube station, and a fairly large Boots store and a nice Marks & Spencer are within the station. A large Whole Foods Market is just past the Tube station. There are lots of pubs, restaurants and fast food places within a 15- to 20-minute walk of the flat, but the flat's kitchen is equipped with a full-size fridge/freezer, microwave and regular range for meals in as needed, especially handy for breakfast. There is also a small dishwasher and combo washer-dryer for doing laundry, a clothes drying rack, iron and ironing board. There's a large patio/terrace outside the kitchen, but we were so busy being tourists we didn't have much time to enjoy it. We felt quite safe in the flat and everywhere we walked, even coming back from the Tube station or a restaurant at night. One thing to consider about the flat, which is true of many places in England, is the number of steps which you must climb. There is a staircase from the front door up to the "first floor" where the living room/lounge and kitchen are, then another one to the "second floor" where the 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms are. However, this would only be a problem for someone with mobility issues. There is some outdoor noise from traffic and sirens, but this is London after all; you might well encounter this anywhere in the city (or any city,) even in a pricy hotel. There was no through-the-walls or from-the-floor-above noise. We would definitely stay here again and can highly recommend this flat and Yvonne as a landlady.

Kensington Terrace Apartment

My husband and I just left after a 5 night stay at this lovely apartment. It’s located in a very nice area just west of London not but a short probably 3min walk to the nearest bus stop and 10 or so min walk to the nearest tube station. Eve was incredibly nice and quick to respond to any questions. If we come back to London we would stay here no question, hopefully during a time of year when we could make use of the nice terrace.

Our family of 4 enjoyed this comfortable and convenient flat in London/Kensington. The apartment was as advertised. Only issue was a bit of noise at night from a near by busy street, but otherwise a great place to stay.

This is a really great property, it has everything but the joy of the apartment is the outside space, it is a sunny terrace and a great place to chill out, very quiet and a view of the pretty mews behind. And South Facing !

2 bathrooms, and of course the privacy of being a duplex, if people want to sleep upstairs, others can stay awake and watch tv or plan the next day downstairs. I have many guide books and maps for you. All necessities, provided including washing detergent and dishwasher tablets, shampoo, soap. Also food necessities, including coffee and tea etc.
