This is our 4th time staying at this house. Enjoyed everything. This was our yearly anniversary fishing trip. We had been going to different lakes but was ready to come back to the ocean.

Rest & Relaxation

We had an absolutely amazing time on our mini vacation! This was the perfect place for our little family. The feeling of the house made us feel right at home. The grandkids loved the private dock! We cant wait to book for our next vacation!

My grandkids enjoyed their stay fully. My 11 year old grandson had so much fun fishing and crabbing. He didn’t catch much but he loved it.

Quiet weekend

We did a very last minute booking for this property. Nice community and nice property. The house had a great open floor plan which made it easy for everyone to be together. The area around the boat lift made a great space for fishing and lowering a crab net. Easy access to the beach from the community.

Life on the canal.

Overall, it was good. There were some items that were not available for use. Those items were things present in out kitchen. You can't provide everything that is needed, that's understood. Everything we needed worked and we were satisfied with the house, generally speaking. Look to stay in Galveston, TX again this year when we come back. Thanks for the help, house contact. The Lavoi's

Decent Property

The property was clean. Bedrooms, bathrooms were listed accurately. Appliances were not listed correctly. Listing also specified there is laundry soap, dishwasher soap, and trash bags. There were 3 trash bags, 2 dishwasher pods, and less than a cap full of laundry soap. Also, there is only street parking with access to the property over grass. If it has been raining, expect to walk through a swamp. I was there with colleagues for a medical conference and had to dress accordingly including heels and slacks. So, walking through the pond that was the yard was unfortunate.

We stayed for 4 nights and didn’t have any issues. The house worked for what we needed but we probably wouldn’t choose to stay again. We are used to rentals having basic things like cleaning spray, spices, aluminum foil, extra paper towels, etc. I read the past reviews and packed extra but it just makes for more things to lug/pack. So, as a lazy person, it wasn’t an awesome experience more me LOL. The extra blankets in the closet had hair from past guests and the towels are thin. Pros: Communication with owner & location was great! AC was cold and the water pressure was good. TV’s in all the rooms and the check out instructions were very easy. More than Enough towels for our group of 6 and the deck was great for fishing.Recommendations:1. The beds are not very comfy (thin and squeaky) and a mattress topper would be helpful. 2. More dish towels3. A small table downstairs to have on the deck/dock to hold drinks.4. Provide liquid Hand soap in the kitchen/bathrooms

Wonderful family get away

Had a wonderful stay, fishing was fun, played games for hours and fun conversations on the deck. Barbara was great to deal with from reservation through stay. Will stay again.

Great location for a laid back family vacation!

We really enjoyed our stay this week! We did some fishing and crabbing off the back deck, visited the nearby beach, and enjoyed the views. We did travel into town a few times (20-30 min drive depending on where you are going). It was really nice to be able to come back to nice cool house away from all the busyness of downtown Galveston!

Great place

We had a great time! I would like to add that there is no fishing equipment. We had read about the awesome night fishing but wasn't able to take advantage of the activity due to no equipment. Also very little beach toys etc. We flew so didn't have access to bring these things. One of the fans doesn't change speeds and moved very little air. Could use some updates in home but other than that it was a great time. House was clean. It was further out from town than I thought it would be but we made the best of it! If you are looking for the beach this is the place! Much nicer beach than the one in town! Pool was also super awesome! Host is fantastic!!

Fun family vacation getaway!

This beach house worked perfectly for our big yearly family vacation! Amazing spot for fishing, we caught tons of fish every night. Great location to beach access. Barbara was extremely helpful and quick to respond. We would stay here again :)

Great getaway!

We had a great time while staying at this property. Location is beautiful. I wasn't sure what I'd think about being on the canal, but it was super cool and gave us access to water right outside our door. The location is not super close to most restaurants, but it's away from the crowds and craziness closer to Pleasure Pier.

Sea Lovers Cottage

This place is amazing! Super nice, super clean, very well updated with all the amenities.. It's very quiet and peaceful and we had a blast catching fish with the kids and grandkids. Definitely recommend this place!

Sunshine Breeze

The neighborhood was nice and quiet. Maybe a bit too quiet for our loud children but overall, it was a nice neighborhood and location to relax and get some quiet time. The house being situated on the canal is an added bonus, it's so beautiful in the mornings to see the sun glistening on the water. The house is about a 30 minute drive away from the Galveston Boardwalk, Wal-Mart, oher restaurants, and the main area for higher traffic and activities. The house is well kept and clean. There was enough room for everyone to have their space and have a good night's rest. The place is equipped with everything you need to cook and eat, to shower and do laundry, etc. It is a home away from home. I would stay here again if I come back to the area.

We decided to rent this house for spring break. house was clean upon arrival. However the outside exterior could use some work.(my 5 year old stated it looked creepy due to the side of the house missing wood/blue plastic). everything else was nice inside is as pictured.the picture does no justice it bigger in the inside. the host was very friendly and helpful. my family and i enjoyed our stay.

Great place

The weather was not on our side for out stay However there was plenty of space inside to play games with the kids. We did some fishing and even though it was slow biting everyone had fun. There were ample dishes for a large family and that was a wonderful relief. We had a very nice vacation and look forward to going back
