Pet friendly canal retreat

'Turtle retreat' is a place where you can relax, enjoy the sunrise and make memories with your family. The house includes a dumb-waiter to bring up your groceries or send food and drinks downstairs. It is also equipped with a whole house natural gas generator, cargo lift for your suitcases and freestanding icemaker to make your trip more enjoyable.

We have plenty of games for the kids and there is a smart TV in every room.

Fishing rods provided so you can fish right off your private dock.
Guest access
There is an owner's closet upstairs and downstairs that locked. It is where cleaning supplies are located for our cleaning crew between guests. These supplies are locked up to avoid being accidentally ingested by young children. All other spaces are completely accessible to our guests.

Very clean inside and out. A super to have a ice machine and the green light. Host really put thought into the renters. I have rented many homes and this was by far the best. Love that their are separate refrigerators in the fishing area. Beautiful decor and was very relaxing. Looking forward to renting again. Thanks for being a great host!!

We had an amazing stay at this house! The views are absolutely stunning, and the location right on the canal is perfect. The home is thoughtfully equipped with everything you could possibly need, making the stay feel extra special and effortless. The owners were wonderful—easy to communicate with and very responsive. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it.

Had a wonderful time! Potty bags were there for my pup. And the kitchen is so well appointed. More utensils and appliances than I needed. The coffee bar was great. Great books, games, toys. It is a beautiful home and in a great location. So peaceful. My daughter caught her first fish!

We enjoyed every bit of our stay. Leanne was very responsive and an excellent host. The house was clean and spacious. The house had all the essentials and more. My family decided to take a last minute vacation weekend to the beach, not sure how we were so lucky to find this gem but we are definitely blessed. This house was way more than we had hoped for. Amazing beautiful house/property,, clean, set up perfect to fit anyone’s needs, stocked with more stuff than you’d ever expect in a rental. Took our fur baby on his first ever vaca and the property was even set up ideal for him. He enjoyed staying up with me at night catching red fish and trout off the lights as well. Super relaxing perfect stay. WillDefinitely keep this place on our must stay again houses. Thanks for letting us enjoy your home Leanne. ps. amazingly informative host.

We had a wonderful time at Turtle Retreat. This place was amazing and the most equipped house and cleanest one we have ever stayed at and the location was perfect. They have thought of everything!! Perfect place to relax, have family time and lots of fishing. My husband said I picked a perfect place to stay!! Leanne was very helpful in facilitating our rental plans. Perfect weekend get away

The beach house was perfect for our needs. It has all the amenities you will need to enjoy a weekend get away. Our friends were very impressed with the place and can't wait to book again sometime. We cooked, we fished, we hung out both indoors and outdoors with our families and it was great. Beautiful home.

Amazing stay

We rent several houses a year to get away and this was definitely in the top. Communication with the owner was above and beyond and the house was amazing! It was well stocked and very clean. We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be back!

The NICEST VRBO we have ever stayed in!! The moment we booked, the host was incredibly responsive & proactive, providing helpful information before we even had to ask. The house was spotless, the sheets were crisp, & plenty of fluffy towels. Honestly, it’s cleanest VRBO we’ve ever stayed in.The location tranquil yet convenient, making it the perfect getaway. I could sit watch the sunrises & birds fly by while drinking my coffee on the deck. One of our favorite parts was the green fishing light at night. It provided great fishing & amazing entertainment watching nature underwater & along the canal. The last night, the stars were so bright! I used the binoculars that were at the house to see Jupiter, Saturn & Mars. Inside the house, the host left extensive list of recommendations with coupons. The location was fantastic — very close to the beach which had public access & convenient to The Strand in Galveston. This list does not even touch the HUGE kitchen, with the amazing coffee bar, unlimited supply of ice, the books & games, the bedrooms, or the fishing closet downstairs, or the DOOGY bags. This host has thought of it all.

The bait fish are fun to watch. Red fish are good to eat!

Great Spot!

House is clean and well stocked. Very spacious and well laid out for people and all our beach/fishing gear. Beds and couch are very comfortable. Double deck was awesome for fishing and crabbing! Easy to contact host and overall wonderful experience!

We had a wonderful time at Turtle Retreat. The home was well stocked, clean and comfortable. The hosts were great with responding to communication and providing all the necessary information for the property. Proximity and easy access to the beach was awesome. Highly recommend this home. Absolutely amazing host!

We stay in galveston very often and find most properties to provide the bear minimum, but not the Turtle Retreat! It was amazing. All the small totes we pack along like seasonings and kcups they had it. The price is worth the stay. Will be back probably everytime we come
