The place was perfect, very clean and very well located. The owner was very quick to answer our questions and gave us lots of practical advice about the city, activities and transportation.
We can't wait to go back!
We had a great time in Maui. Brandon was in touch when needed and was easy to deal with. The place was very clean and well stocked with beach equipment. The central location was great for just walking around when we didnât want to drive.
We stayed at Brandonâs Pacific Shores condo for two weeks in March. The property is right across the street from the best beach on Maui. The condo felt like our home away from home. We were able to explore the island, to see the Hawaiian culture, enjoy the natural beauty and all that Maui has to offer. Mahalo Brandon! We canât wait to come back again. Rod and Anne
We have stayed st this complex before but first time at this unit so familiar with the area and complex and itâs convenience to best beaches, etc. Brandon was super easy to work with from booking to checkout. Everything was as pictured and as advertised. We did not find the construction at the Maui Coast next door to be bothersome at all. In fact, rather interesting to see the progress during our extended stay. We will definitely be back!
Can't do nothing about the rain!!! It is Hawaii's winter. With that said very nice condo. Brandon is pretty laid back and easy to contact. He gets right back to you if you have any questions. Fourth floor condo but has a elevator which makes it okay as we are seniors. All in all a very nice stay.
Property was great except we had bugs. some sort of flying ant type of thing, a couple of spiders, but worst of all there were these small little ant type things everywhere in the bathroom, sink, toilet, tub, and crawling on our belongings.
We found the condo was just as advertised. Great location near some of the best beaches. Walking distance to stores (Foodland, ABC Store, Farmers Market), restaurants, churches, and parks. We rented a car for the first week to explore the island, then walked the rest of the 33 days we were there. We enjoyed the World Whale Day parade, which passed by the condo, and walked to the festivities at Kalama Park. We did not need to use the air conditioner because of the near perfect weather in January and February. Brandon is promptly responsive to communications and is available, if needed for any problems.
We really enjoyed our stay at Brandonâs condo and would stay here again! It was spacious, clean, and close to the beach. The kitchen was well-equipped and included coffee, sugar and some basic spices, although not cooking oil. There were beach chairs, boogie boards, 1 adult snorkel, umbrella, etc. There were also beach things for kids; check both the closet and living room cabinet. The condo is minutes walk from Charley Young beach and just a little farther to Kamaole I. The rocks to the right of CY beach have great snorkelingâwe saw turtles!âbut start early because the water gets choppy when it gets windy in the afternoons. A couple of busses run along the road if you want to get farther than walking: $2 one-way.
We were thrilled when we first arrived at the property - it was clean, and close to everything. The pool and grill area were wonderful and never really busy ... and then there were the views - which were spectacular. And Brandon was great to deal with during the booking and check-in process.
Unfortunately it went downhill about half-way in to our 8 day stay. We started noticing cockroaches in the kitchen, which we tried to manage with the spray we found already in the unit. Being that we never ate in the condo and it was clean and well kept, I suspect they were coming from somewhere else in the building.
Once we saw them on the couches/pull-out couch (and we're travelling with a child) we had to make the hasty (middle of the night) decision to book another place for our last 2 night in Kihei ... basically double paying for our last nights on Maui.
The condo it self was nice as well as it's location, convenient access by walking to many places such as food, beaches, and a mall or two. The actual grocery store would be a little bit far if you were to carry large amounts of food etc back. As I read in previous reviews the smoke was sometimes a problem, in the evening before bed to cool off the bedroom I would close the bedroom door and turn on the AC, that is when I noticed the smell in the bedroom and bathroom. As for the kitchen equipment, it needs a regular can opener not the P-38 and the other can opener is missing the part you turn once you snap it on the can. Needs one more dish that can be put in the oven as I only found one oven safe dish. Simple things like paper and pencil and a pair of scissors, maybe I just didn't search well enough. Beach gear was a great bonus, we used everything, chairs, snorkel gear, boards, cooler. The unit also has a wide range of reading material. The bed was a little to soft for me because of hip issues but I loved the pillows. One odd thing is the pool and how you have to have a key to even get OUT of the pool, I think they are going to change this and they really need to, we even had to let the maintenance guy out once when his partner left him in. Overall it was a great place, I will add that if you expect to have any accessories left by the previous party such as simple kitchen items like tin foil, saran wrap, laundry soap or such, it appears all that is removed or people just don't use that stuff and leave it as I have. This is the only place I rented where there wasn't some accessories left in the home from the previous renters. Thanks Brandon it is a nice stay, but I do hope you are able to resolve the smoke smell as that was the most bothersome.
Our stay at Brandon's condo was amazing! After two years of not travelling, it felt so good to be on Maui again. The condo looked just like the pictures and was spotlessly clean. Our host, Brandon replied to inquiries right away. The location right across the street from the best beach on Maui, Charley Young, couldn't have been more convenient. We had a fabulous trip and would definitely stay in the condo again.
Mahalo Brandon.
Property was just as advertised. Turned out to be cleaner than I expected. I grew up in Maui, so I guess I was expecting a little more of a rugged place. But the condo was just west we needed and proximity to Charley Young and enough dining and shopping was perfect.
We've had vacation rentals in Maui a good number of times and liked everything about this unit. The location is great, especially since it is far from noisy Kihei Rd which can be an issue with many rentals.here.
Clean, quiet, unit was fully stocked, had everything we needed, close to awesome beaches, restaurants and shops. Great location. Though we had zero problem, Brandon was easy to get a hold of and responded quickly with every question we had. Yes, weâll definitely return in the future. Mahalo!
The condo is clean and well-stocked. Brandon was easy to get in touch with and quick to address any issues. The only thing I needed his help with was locating another pillowcase and it was promptly provided. The condos are clean and well-maintained and there is no clutter outside. This is mostly good but the hard part was having no place for wet towels, swimsuits, boogie boards, and snorkels. Most of that we would just hose off and keep on the kitchen floor which worked out okay. The hard part was the wet sandy towels. Normally I would hang them to dry on a balcony (this is not allowed here) and then be able to shake off the sand. But with no way to get them to fully dry, they contributed to a lot of sand on our floor and in the bathtub which drove me nuts. I vacuumed every day and a few times had to put damp sandy towels in the laundry knowing some sand would get in the washer. But since that was my biggest problem, it is clearly overall a great place to stay, especially given the price. I had my two kids on the pullout couch and we had ample space for the week.
Brandons condo was the perfect getaway! It had everything you needed for the beach and more.
We had a great time staying here! The condo was very clean and had everything we needed to go to the beach! Brandon was very nice throughout the whole process and made our trip worry free!
10 night stay. Clean, comfortable for 2 adults and 1 teen. Queen bed, comfy. Click clack couch sleeper, a little firm but daughter thought it was comfy. Fully stocked kitchen with all needed cookware and dishes. Has coffeemaker, toaster, blender, toaster oven microwave and regular oven. Fridge has ice trays and ice maker. Washer/dryer. 2 boggy boards, 3 beach chairs, two sun umbrellas. Various foam floaties and nerf toys. Bathroom had tub, hair dryer. Good air conditioning. Ceiling fans in living room and bedroom. Smart TB/Roku. Small lanai with table and two chairs. Condo buildings are patrolled by a security guard at night - mask led are required in all common/public areas. Has an elevator to this 4th floor condo. There are grocery carts available on first floor to use. Swimming pool open but you have to bring own chairs down due to Covid. Gas barbecue grills - we used them at least 4 times. Close and easy access to Charley Young Beach park and Kameole l. Equipped with small styrofoam cooler and soft sided carry cooler. This was a great place to base out of for all the things we wanted to do on Maui. Lanai overlooks parking lot and faces North, so itâs not a place to sunbathe. If you are looking for a clean, well stocked condo, then you will enjoy this place. Owner very responsive to messages, good communication.
We enjoyed our stay in your condo. Initially when we arrived we had issues with the wifi and TV. Brandon was very attentive and immediately came to meet us and remedy the problem. The unit is well stocked with beach items, coolers, chairs, towels etc. The designated parking spot was also a plus. The only slight issue we had was locating the Pacific Shores sign and address since we arrived late in the night and were not familiar with the area. The sign is not well lit and the foliage was overgrown covering the sign.
Everything was well described in the listing. Thanks again and we hope to be back.
Very central to shops and restaurants. Accommodation was comfortable. Contact with owner was easy and he was quick to respond to any questions or concerns. Only suggestion would be to install electronic lock so keys are not a concern. Mahalo!
For the price, the condo was great. Brandon was really nice and was really quick to respond to any concerns we had. Location is great too. Over all, we enjoyed our stay.
Originally from North Carolina, I've been blessed with the opportunity to stay near the ocean my entire life. I grew up on the coast of NC and have lived in St. Augustine, Florida and Costa Rica but Maui is home. I made the move to Maui in 2003. We live nearby and love to share our extensive knowledge of all that Maui has to offer. My free time is filled with surfing, stand up paddling, bbq's with friends, hanging with family, traveling and hiking in Haleakala Crater. Maui is No Ka 'Oi (the best)! My wife is a jewelry designer and has a retail location in the westside town of Lahaina. Our daughter is currently in 1st grade and loves to swim, play soccer and is quite the artist. My family welcomes your family to enjoy a memorable vacation in South Maui. We will do everything possible to make sure that happens! Aloha
I chose to buy at Pacific Shores because you simply cannot beat the location. It is literally a few minute walk to pristine beaches and views. The complex has an awesome swimming pool, hot tub, gazebo and bbq area and the grounds are full of tropical landscape. It's quiet, safe and secure. In the rare times our unit isn't rented we love to have a little staycation at Pacific Shores!
I love being able to walk for a longboard session to Cove Park or just going for a swim right across the street at Charley Young Beach. My wife loves that we can walk to some really great restaurants in the evening. And of course my daughter will not get out of the pool for hours.
