The apartment is beautiful and spacious, very well appointed and maintained. Itâs located in the old city center with wonderful restaurants, bistros, shops, patisseries all aroundâŠand the famous geese sculpture is just outside! Free parking only a few minutes walk. Sarlat is a perfect central location for day trips to nearby Dordogne villages and many prehistoric sites. The local contact was most helpful with check in and other information. We highly recommend this propertyâŠ5 stars!
Central location! Seriously elegant âabove it allâ 2nd floor place
Really beautiful place. Beautifully furnished (not IKEA!), totally nice bathrooms. Location is absolute heart of Sarlat - but up on the second floor - so you could hear the (summer) crowds below, but be âabove it allâ - very fun while making dinner for ourselves :-))! No a/c, so needed windows open - and it can be noisy - but for us, part of being in Europe! Well equipped kitchen (tho add ice cube trays, salad bowl). And be aware they charge an addâl fee $85 for linens (tho good quality linens). Weâd stay there again in a heartbeat - and actually make it a destination. Also, donât miss kayaking the Dordogne - absolutely gorgeous. Note: 2nd bdrm has its own attached bathroom - but you have to go out into the âcommonâ (but gorgeous, and shared w/ only one other unit, it seems) space to connect w/ the rest of the apartment - but itâs only 10 steps away - no biggie.
Total elegance is not an overstatement. High-ceilinged, spacious & accommodating with large French windows overlooking the charming 3 bronze geese in the Marche des Oies. The kitchen was outstanding, equipped enough for a gourmet cook. Salon & bedroom were very attractive, graciously enhanced by beautiful antique fireplaces. The bed was king-sized & comfortable. The apartment was splendidly situated to enjoy the enchanting town. It actually was perfect except for: no instructions how to work the space-age appliances; no instructions where to leave the garbage; no heat in the hair dryer; scratchy, small towels; no internet for a couple of days; ungenerous necessities like shampoo, conditioner, bath soap, very small coffee mugs & wine glassesâŠ.Otherwise, for 5 wonderful days, it was a superb combination of beautiful heritage and contemporary amenities. We didnât use the 2nd bedroom which was strangely outside the main apartment.

Great space! One bedroom is outside of the space FYI. Missing some comfort measures: shampoo, body soap, paper towels, napkins, laundry soap, storage containers or wrap, throw blankets
..all of that being said, nice, clean and spacious.
