This two-bedroom cottage sits just a few minutes from Roan Mountain State Park, with mountain views from every direction and a front porch that's basically the best room in the house. Inside: two queen bedrooms, one bath, sleeps four.



Hiking trails start within walking distance from the cottage, so you can be on a mountain before your coffee gets cold. The state park itself is a quick drive — waterfalls, swimming spots in summer, and some of the best rhododendron blooms in the country every June.



Two Roku TVs, wifi, a full kitchen, washer/dryer, and a propane grill on the deck mean you can actually settle in.



One heads-up: there's no cell service out here. That's not a bug — it's kind of the point. Bring a book. Bring the dog (we're pet-friendly, up to two). Let the rest of it wait!
