A-Frame Hideaway at Buckridge Mountain Resort - Sleeps 3 with unique bath house

Check out this unique A-Frame cabin nestled in the foothills of Buckridge Mountain Resort. Surrounded by 1000's of acres of trails, 30 minutes to Beech Mountain, 30 minutes to Boone, NC, 40 mintues to Bristol Motor Speedway but surrounded by nothing but waterfalls and woods this is the perfect place to stay for a night or come for the weekend. Just 10 minutes off 321 in Butler this little cabin has a Queen bed on the bottom and a twin bed in the loft area. Open room with mini fridge and microwave and flat screen smart tv and wifi. Bath house is a short walk down the trail with hot showers and his and her toilets. Come and enjoy nature the way it was meant to be. Take a hike up the mountain, bring your side by sides or ATV's, short trailer to Doe Mountain amazing ATV riding trails. Bring your horses, bring you hiking shoes or boat and enjoy Watuaga Lake a few minutes away.

The daytime stay was truly magnificent, but once night fell, it was horrible: poor lighting and insufferable heat in the cabin—it was impossible to sleep inside. The supposed third bed doesn't exist; it’s just a cramped space right up against the metal roof, which is literally an oven.

This property was described extremely well. If you are looking for a city style bath and shower experience. This might not be for you. But if you want a getaway that has everything from entertaining animals to a comfortable cabin to relax in. It hit every star on the chart. There is lots of room to explore. A pefect place to lay your head and come on. Goats that offer hours of free entertainment while relaxing.. Never laughed so hard watching them.. My experience was great. When I come back to the area. Ill book it again. Thanks for a great time.
What a great idea for a common ground. Very cool place to unwind.
We nicknamed this one Titus2. Looks just like our Jack Russell at home.

This was genuinely the coziest A-frame I’ve ever stayed in, and I’ve stayed in quite a lot of them over the years. Most of my experiences have been in fully off-grid cabins without power, but this place somehow captured that same peaceful, tucked-away feeling while still having all the comforts you could want. Having reliable electricity and more outlets than you’d ever realistically need was such a luxury without taking away from the atmosphere at all.Honestly, I kind of left wishing I had a little space like this of my own someday. The cabin felt incredibly well thought out, comfortable, and welcoming.One important tip for future guests: save the check-in instructions to your phone before arriving because the area has very limited cell service. That said, once we arrived the WiFi was surprisingly fast and worked great the entire stay.I truly believe this property is undervalued for what it offers. They could absolutely charge more and still have people lining up to stay here. Highly recommend.

The cabin was cutest could be, the interior was very nice, we love the wood and the smell for a child the top thing was nice, the bed was nice. We did not like the owl House bathhouse thing. There was animal poop on the floor. We did not like the sink on the back of the bathhouse. We did not stay in the place overnight due to the fact if we had to go to the restroom we would’ve had to got up and walked out there in the woods in the middle of the night. Even with the lights and flashlights we had it would not be a fun Situation. If we had been in our 20s or 30s it probably would’ve been funny but at 71 and 68 it was not a good idea for us to stay there. Even though we both hike and get around fine. Your reflexes are slower at age than they are in our 20s and 30s in case of an animal incursion of some type.

Cabin was very cozy. They had baby goats we could pet and good wifi. The outhouse-style bathrooms were cute but my germaphobe partner wasn't a fan and the trail up was rough and unlit at night so it was a little rough going to the bathroom if it was an emergency.

Yeah sometimes because of where we are in the woods no matter if we clean the day before you arrive we get bugs. We do have pest control so we keep up with it just not a lot we can control with all the trees, woods and rain. Hope you enjoyed everything else! Thanks for staying with us!

Glamping!!

Great location, wonderful hosts, just not an overly accurate description of facilities. The bathhouse is literally a large outhouse with outhouse showers. Over all very comfortable and will stay again more prepared for camping.

This is a cool place that my six-year-old daughter really enjoyed. The collection of cabins here would be great for family and friend groups. The goats were entertaining, though I’m glad they were tied up most of the time lol. The heater was plenty for the small space, and the fridge and microwave met our needs. Very cute and cozy. We slightly underestimated the separation of the bathroom. It’s no problem if you think “camping.” But maybe not ideal for folks who need frequent access. Check-in process would have been very smooth, except that the door lock needed a battery change and was finicky. No cell reception meant that I needed to go up the hill to look for Cody for help. Thankfully, he drove by just when I was hiking uphill in the wrong direction, and he was very helpful! We were glad we had brought a flashlight, fire supplies, and a handy supply of drinking water. Hand sanitizer was provided, but you might want to bring soap if you prefer that.

Very nice cabin. Fire pit and grill are shared with other cabins. Roads and bridges down. No cell service. WIFI password was not sent. Very grateful for the property manager. This is a nice place to go if you want to be off the grid. Wood porch awning is infested with bees, wasps and hornets could not sit on por h during the day.

I sent you the door code and wifi password in the chat on VRBO. You can go back and see for yourself. This is a cabin in the woods we do get bees and wasps, bears and deer. The current guests have not left the porch since they got here so not sure what or where the wasps are.

Nice little cabin, very quiet

We stayed at the A-frame cabin. The cabin interiour ist quite nice and well equipped, however you should be aware it is very tiny. The bathroom/outhouse is approx. 30m away and equipped quite rudimentary. Activities require some driving. In extended periods of rain that should be considered. The place ist still developping (new Houses being built) and could develop nicely. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Now Kathi goes back and forth from her Florida house to her Tennessee Cabins when she needs a break from the madness. "I started with one cabin at the top (mine) and then just couldn't stop adding as themes and money became available. I wanted some place anyone could enjoy and something I could leave for my kids and grandkids. Now with the addition of my chickens and goats and garden it's harder and harder to leave there"

This property is so different than most. It's like a family compound we can share with our guests. The water comes from the top of the mountain and it's pure and cold and fresh! The cabins are all so different and unique and we just enjoy our guests and love seeing our guests enjoy it as much as we do.
