Cabin was super cute, lake is close by, perfect place, stayed here for our daughterâs softball tournament in Johnson City. Tony was very accommodating when we had to arrive a day early!
This was our second stay. The cabin is great. Clean and comfortable. It is an ideal location for a base camp to hike many sections of the AT. We use Boots Off Hostel less than a mile down the road to shuttle us to and from various trail heads. The host is very quick to answer questions. The outside porches are wonderful for relaxing. Watauga lake is just down the road and there are several attractions near by if you want to do other activities.
The cabin and all amenities were good. It is located on a very busy highway that is on a downslope. Thereâs a lot of traffic especially heavy truck traffic that use Jacob brakes when descending the hill and are extremely loud. The cabin has a beautiful front porch with a swing, but it is less than 150 feet from the road, and canât be enjoyed because of the noise. Everything else was great.
The property and the host were amazing. So many hiking opportunities close to the property that's why we went.
Will definitely be back and highly recommend to other renters
The cabin was great. Had everything you would need.
Loved the fire pit. Everything was close, caves, boating, swimming, and hiking. Would definitely go back again.
The property is close by several good hiking trails and the lake. Nearby towns have all you can need and there are 2 wineries about 30 minutes away that we very much enjoyed. Overall a super place at this price point.
Home. was very nice and comfortable beds were perfect Overall everything was great. loved the couch We went hiking everyday The beauty of the mountains was awesome Great location
Everything was wonderful⊠perfect mix of a secluded mountain top cabin and beach bungalow. Rustic with all the creature comforts. Felt like returning home for the holidays.

Not worth the price
We were expecting a place in the woods near the river. This place is next to a busy road, the yard is small and there was no river in sight. I was constantly worried about my dogs getting out and running into the road. The house was fine but not worth what we paid. We left early.
Place was clean, easy to find, plenty of room 2-4 people Property is beautiful. Great for a fishing stay if you have a boat to enjoy the Lake. Car noise during the day and early morning is very loud.
Cozy country cabin on road to Watauga Lake.
Host is friendly and accommodating. Close to lake and hiking. Near Appalachian trail and Roan Mountain is right down the road. Beautiful countryside! Home is quintessential country cabin - homey and artfully decorated.
It is on a highway but the property is surrounded by trees and greenery that really make it feel so secluded. It allows you to be in the mountains without all the traffic and crowds of a touristy place. There are plenty of nature outings within the general area and we always found new things to do. The house was clean and comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay there!
This was my first time to Tennessee and the house was in the perfect area to enjoy the Cherokee National Forest. The owner of the property was easy to get in contact with if there was any questions.
This was an adorable cabin in the TN mountains. Decorated and soooo comfy! Great fire pit, amazing front porch with rockers and a glider. So welcoming. Loved all of it!!!
The positives were that the place was clean, nice location, good communication with owner, served its purpose for the week. The opportunities are that an air conditioning unit in the second bedroom would help, there were ants but that's what happens in these kinds of places, the pillows on the beds were not comfortable, the bathroom is very small and the hot water tank is good for about 1 and 1/2 showers before it goes cold.
Locationwise there is a McDonald's and dunkin' donuts about 5 minutes away.
We had a good stay there was a small plumbing issue but Tony was all over it and had it fixed before we returned from the lake. We traveled with our two service dogs and one got I'll and had to be rushed to the vet so we did not get to check out properly. Tony was totally understanding and easy to work with. I would recommend this last cation and proprietor.
Overall it was a nice place to stay, with close access to the lake. The only gripes we had, were, the full bed was kinda stiff and uncomfortable. We ended up sleeping on the twin beds the second night. And we had to fuss with the modem a bit to use the Wifi.
