Several statements in this review are simply not accurate. The additional charges were not made up or intended to “extract money.” They were based on the condition of the property after your stay (and what my housekeeper chose to charge me for all the extra work) and were submitted through Vrbo for review. Vrbo ultimately made its own determination regarding the claim. And no they did't side with you they asked would I be willing to drop $100 off the extra amount I submitted and I said no. And I only requested what was reasonable which was $200 total. As for the ridiculous suggestion that there were cameras inside the home: there are NO interior cameras. That accusation is completely unfounded and inappropriate. If you go reread our messages I said" When you checked out you left EVERY LIGHT ON IN THE HOUSE" The house keeper came the next day so that meant every light was on for over 24 hours! Regarding the trash, guests are provided with a designated trash receptacle, and we ask that trash be properly contained. You and your guest left trash all over. Kitchen island was full of trash along with the dinning table, downstairs living area and bathrooms had undisposed trashed. Trash bags are left in the bottom of the trash can so when you TAKE OUT the trash like I asked you would have seen them. Trash bins are located in the garage and you didn't even attempt to dispose of any of your trash or food. The fridge was full of food and drink as well. YOU EVEN LEFT FOOD IN BOWLS SITTIN G ON MY COUCH DOWNSTAIRS!!! In my house rules I asked for all eating to be done on the second level due to another renter leaving open food in bedrooms that brought ants into my home. As for the HVAC, the system was operational during the stay, and I have no desire to misrepresent the condition of the property. If there is a maintenance issue, I address it. I also encourage guests to contact me during their stay so that I have an opportunity to resolve any concerns while they are at the property. I even address how to work the system in my pamphlet I leave in the kitchen. And this was added after 1 review saying how the downstairs thermostat wasn't working. I explain how to work it but YOU NEVER READ IT HENCE WHY YOU DID'T KNOW THE HOUSE RULES. I respect that every guest has a different experience, but I believe it is important for future guests to have accurate information rather than assumptions or accusations. I remain committed to providing a clean, comfortable, and accurately represented property. I have video of the property after you left so if any future renter would like a receipt of why I charged you an extra $200 Im willing to share it to PROVE MY SIDE IS JUSTIFIED.
