You can walk home from the beach to toss the day's swimsuits in the washer/dryer, and take a seat outside on the tree-lined patio that's warmed by a Rais fireplace. What's nearby:

This part of Manzanita, just up the hill from the beach, is delightfully quiet thanks to a general absence of car and foot traffic. It's beautifully wooded yet it also tends to be warmer and sunnier than the low-lying areas, which you'll still be able to reach on foot. The wide ocean beach is just over half a mile west, while Laneda Avenue - the town's main thoroughfare that's lined with charming eateries, shops, and galleries - is less than half a mile south.
