This cozy log cabin offers inviting spaces inside and out, including a game room with pool table, bright dining areas, comfortable bedrooms, relaxing bathrooms, a jetted soaking tub, and peaceful outdoor spots to unwind. Guests can enjoy mountain and wooded views from the deck and porch, gather around the fire pit, and take in the private setting. With warm wood interiors, open living spaces, and fun amenities, itâs a welcoming retreat for families and groups.
We want to make sure you have the utmost convenience! The smart lock is located on the back entrance. You will be provided with an access code prior to check-in. The owners are local and can be reached through the platform messaging during your stay.
Conveniently located in Christiansburg, this home is just a short drive from some of the areaâs top destinations. Guests are roughly 10 minutes from downtown Christiansburg, about 15 to 20 minutes from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, around 20 to 25 minutes from Radford University, and approximately 25 to 30 minutes from Claytor Lake State Park. These drive times are approximate based on the homeâs Christiansburg location and the official locations of those attractions.
All areas of the home and property are open for guests use
This spacious log home is set up for groups and families, with 5 bedrooms and sleeping space for up to 12 guests. The home is spread across three levels and offers a warm, rustic feel with multiple gathering areas, comfortable sleeping spaces, and both indoor and outdoor features for relaxing.
On the main floor, there is Bedroom 1 with a king bed. This room includes an ensuite bathroom with a jacuzzi tub. The kitchen is also located on the main floor, along with the main living and dining areas, making it the central space for cooking, dining, and spending time together.
On the second floor, there are 2 bedrooms, each with a queen bed. These are separate rooms in a loft-style layout, meaning the walls do not fully extend to the ceiling. There is also a bathroom on this floor with a shower/tub combo.
On the basement level, there is 1 bedroom with a queen bed, plus an open kidsâ area with a set of bunk beds. There is also a queen sleeper sofa on this level, giving the home extra sleeping space for larger groups. The basement bathroom includes a shower/tub combo. Sheets and blankets for the pull-out sofa are stored in the downstairs bedroom closet.
The home also includes a washer and dryer, dishwasher, outdoor BBQ grill, indoor wood-burning fireplace, outside fire pit, and Wi-Fi. For the fireplace, guests should make sure the damper is open before lighting a fire, and firewood is provided.
Conveniently located just minutes from major routes and the I-81 corridor, this home offers easy access while still feeling peaceful and tucked away. Parking is available on-site, but there is no designated parking area. Guests should not park on the grass or beyond the orange stakes at the rear of the home, as those mark the septic area.
During the winter months, a 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicle is recommended.

Please do not raise the windows as there are no screens.
Please be sure you keep the storm doors shut and in the evening the porch lights on. (There are bats that can come thru the door in the evening if the door is left open)
If a bat gets into the house, please call me.
Please be sure you shut the propane on the grill off after use.
During the winter months we advise a 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicle to access the property
No illegal substance allowed on the premises.

We ask that you do not park on the grass, and that you do not move the orange stakes on the rear of the house as our septic tanks are there and the weight of the vehicle could crush the tanks.

Jacuzzi tub in main floor bathroom:
Once you fill the tub with hot water the switch to the right of the toilet is a heater to keep the water temperature constant.
Inside Wood Burning Fireplace:
Instructions:
Be sure you open the DAMPER prior to lighting the fire.
Damper to the right is open and to the left is closed.
Sometimes itâs best to crack the front door to allow a vacuum of air and once the fire is started you can close the door.
There are Fire bricks and wood provided.
The Fireplace Fan switch is to the right of the fireplace.
If you keep the Glass doors open, please turn the fan on so the heat will not singe the Elk mount.
Outside Fire pit:
The Virginia Department of Forestry enforces a state-mandated annual burn ban from February to April. The Christiansburg Fire Department follows this law, which prohibits burning before 4 p.m. and after midnight.

Be cautious of fire because it can spread to the woods quickly and you would be accountable.

STARTING A FIRE
1. To properly start a fire in a the fireplace, first check the operation of the flue damper (see
âDAMPER CONTROLâ).
2. To prevent smoke at startup, I usually crack open the front door to allow a draft. Once the fire is going close the door.
3. There are fire bricks and wood on the front porch provided. Be cautious so logs will not roll out of the fireplace.
4. Close the screens to prevent the escape of sparks and embers. (If you decide to leave the Glass doors open, Please turn the fan on so the heat wont singe the Elk Mount).
5. Close the damper only when the fire is completely OUT and ashes are COLD. Keep
the damper closed when the fireplace is not in use, to prevent unnecessary loss of an air.
6. You can put ashes in the ash bucket and we can empty.
DAMPER CONTROL
This fireplace is fitted with a manually controlled chimney damper.
âą To CLOSE the damper, slide all the way LEFT until locked in position.
âą To OPEN the damper, slide all the way RIGHT until locked in position.
When the fireplace is NOT in use, the damper should remain CLOSED to prevent cold air
from entering the home through the chimney system.
When the fireplace is in use, the damper MUST remain OPEN.
