This place was amazing! Such the heart and soul of a true restored historical home and in a GREAT location. Everything was perfect! Super clean and spacious!
Great house, location and surroundings. Fun to be able to walk to the brewery next door or sit outside in the many seating areas around the house. Appreciated the cleanliness of the place and all the amenities. Jess and Gregg⊠thank you so much!
We enjoyed our weekend stay with Jessica in Blacksburg. The house was comfortable, clean and close to Va Tech. We had a great time, and also loved the brewery next door. Many thanks!
We had a small group get together in Blacksburg for a football game and to celebrate our sonâs birthday. It was nice having a comfortable and beautifully restored farmhouse to relax in during the off time. The hosts had everything we needed at the house and the location is great near the brewery. We would definitely stay here again!
Beautiful views - lots of space and perfect for a getaway
We were visiting our daughter at tech - less than 10 minutes from campus and a 2 minute walk to a cool brewery. Beds were comfortable and lots of room to visit. Would definitely stay again.
Great stay! The house was perfectly appointed with everything I needed. Very clean and well taken care of. I loved having the brewery with live music next door! Located out in the country, but a very short drive to town. I would definitely stay there again!
This farmhouse is beautiful with lots of charachter. The house was very clean and the property manager was very responsive and also left some little extras in the house for us which was great. The brewery nextdoor was also really nice with good beer and food and lots of outdoor seating. We would definitely stay here again!
We visit Blacksburg often. This property is incredible. Just the right amount of upgrades to be functional without losing the appeal of the old farmhouse. Everything worked properly, and the house was perfectly clean. The owners were easy to contact, responsive, and wonderful to work with.
Great location for VT. Starters of dish soap, coffee, chocolate, were all very appreciated and very tastefully done. Great communication with Jess, owner.
Thanks!!!
This was one of the BEST VRBO properties we have rented over the years! Our group of friends could kick back and relax and sleep soundly in the gorgeous surroundings. Thanks to Jess for making this reunion flawless!
The hosts included thoughtful touches, such as the bath bomb that my wife enjoyed for a soak in the large tub. The location itself is beautiful and I loved gazing out of the kitchen windows to the mountains while sipping my coffee in the morning. My friends and I will definitely try to book this house again when were back in town.
The Farmhouse was comfortable, a great location to downtown Blacksburg/VT, easy access to running/hiking paths through the rolling hills of Blacksburg literally across the street, and next door to a small craft brewery/farm.
It was a perfect place to stay for the weekend with the family to celebrate birthdays, visit with daughter attending VT, and to take in a basketball game between the "Queens of the Cassell" and UNC.
We will be back!
Adorable farmhouse with lots of âstep back in time touchesâ and modern day amenities too. Gorgeous setting surrounded by farm land. Farm stand and excellent brewery, with great food and drinks, right next door. A park with trails across the street. All just over 2 miles from downtown Blacksburg and VT campus. Look forward to returning!
The historic farmhouse sits conveniently just outside town, yet offers a lovely rural setting. The hosts provide all manner of thoughtful touches. The house has very spacious rooms, and bucolic outdoor space, too. Make time for a soak in the upstairs tub, and a trip to the offerings literally next door: a farm stand with fresh local produce, a delightful dog-friendly and kid-friendly brewery with lots of brews and wood-fired pizza and tasty local food options, and a local park with a neat walking trail featuring views of the rolling hills that define the valleys of western Virginia.
I didn't know my dream house could be a farmhouse until we stayed at this historic farmhouse. It's bigger than it looks from the front and has been thoughtfully renovated. The layout with two large bedrooms upstairs and one on the main level, and the size of the beds, worked well for our group that was in town to work Steppin' Out Festival. We loved the architectural details and peaked windows. Despite the heat of summer, the upstairs remained well air-conditioned. The hosts generously provided many "starter packs" of toiletries and pantry items. These special touches made our stay truly relaxing. There was plenty of parking and we appreciated being a stone's throw to the Farmstand and Rising Silo Brewery next door, 2 minutes to Kroger/University Mall and less than 10 minutes to downtown. We hope to stay here whenever we come to town in the future!
Perfect place to stay for VT move in. Nice to be on the farm to decompress in between busy activities. House is a nice blend of old and new. Beds and linens were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. Was an added bonus to be abl to walk next door for fresh meat and produce or a pizza and beer
