Mark (owner) was very welcoming and a great communicator. He gave us all the information we needed and this is the first time I haven’t had to contact the owner during our stay. It’s a lovely cabin with a lovely view.

Cabin was clean and host was just extremely helpful. The cabin was located perfectly up in the mountains, but still close to town.

Hosts were great and it's a fantastic view and aside from a number of neighbors dogs barking consistently, our stay was peaceful. Already spoke to the host about inadequate maid services.

We have submitted a complaint to the Village of Ruidoso on the constant barking dog. Hopefully they will do something about it.

Weekend Get-A-Way

Loved our stay in Ruidosa. This house was close to town in a quiet neighborhood with lots of deer, elk, and beautiful views. Very peaceful. Lots of room for my family. Easy contact to home owner for any questions we had. I would definitely recommend this home for your weekend get-a-way.

Excellent views and close to surrounding lakes, and attractions. The kitchen needs a womans touch, do a deep cleaning of pantry and garbage can. Upgrade pots and pans, and spatulas, dont need too much clutter. Merry maids does housekeeping and they dont sweep under the sofas, or dust all cobwebs. Found several spiders crawling around need to fumigate.

The cabin is exterminated once a month. So surprised there was any spiders. We've never seen any. We realize the pots and pans are basic. We've tried leaving nicer pans but they constantly get destroyed. Just became too expensve.

This place was lovely. It was clean and very comfortable. We enjoyed the mornings on the patio listening to the elk and turkeys. This home sits high enough that you are in path of birds and can their wings when they fly by. Not to mention the view! If you enjoy the solitude of the outdoors and comfort of a home, I highly recommend this place.

A quiet and relaxing place with a breathtaking view.

Our family enjoyed our stay! Check-in was easy as the property manager provided everything we needed via email and made himself available at anytime if needed. The place has been kept very clean. Highly recommend for the location, cleanliness, and the peace and quiet!

Relaxing and easy for all

I was worried about it being summer, but it was more than cool enough (and I don't do well in heat). Every kitchen item I required was there (and I am an old person who actually cooks). All the items I have to bring at other cabins were unnecessary because they had them. The furniture was extremely comfortable - and I am a person with chronic pain so this says a lot. I slept better there than at home. I would definately recommend this cabin with the stunning view!!

Amazing views!

My little family of three spent 7 glorious days in Ruidoso! We loved how quiet and breathtakingly beautiful the views and area was. The cabin is a great home base to cook meals, enjoy coffee and wine while looking out of the large windows! Mark was always available to us and so welcoming. Will definitely be back!

Perfect location, super clean, retro cabin vibe

Mark, the owner, communicated well and was very responsive. The cabin is a bit dated but also has a cool retro feel. Yes, it could use a few updates but it’s extremely clean and comfortable. It feels like a mountain cabin instead of a subdivision tract home that happens to be in the mountains. And the view!! It’s amazing!! There’s a smart TV which made streaming easy on a rainy day. Wi-Fi is great. The kitchen has everything you need including some staples for cooking and the grill works well. The cabin feels secluded but it only takes about 4 minutes to get to the middle of town. We had a great time!

Views are amazing

Pros:The views are absolutely breathtaking. What we enjoyed the most is how we felt secluded but the town of Ruidoso is just a few minutes away. We took a walk and met the lovely neighbors. The kids loved the wildlife around us. Plenty of room for our family of 8. Cons: Family table is large but uncomfortable for a large family. Overall furniture is dated. Musty smell is in the bed linens. Non smoking property but found a large bucket with a large amount of cigarette butts near the bbq grill.

Smoking is not allowed inside the cabin but people do smoke outside. Pretty hard to limit that and as long as they don't smoke inside we can't really stop that. I will certainly check with the maid service about the bed linens but they are usually very good and we have always had great reviews about cleanliness as you can see here. Not sure what to say about the furniture. It is a rustic mountain cabin. Not a new modern home.
