Charming, 2 BR/2 Bath home on the Root River Bike Trail in Whalan

I am baffled as to what transpired that evening. While it is clear to me that they were looking for a way to get reimbursed for their lodging that they spent a couple of hours in. Then their plans changed. My initial response to them, was “I am sorry that happened, and I am out of town, and when I get back into town, “IF” the refrigerator is not working, I will refund your money. I was back in town the very next day and went straight to the refrigerator. I opened the freezer first, still ice in the trays, good, ice in a plastic bag, still in cube form, good, and I opened the refrigerator door, and there my thermometer, is showing 34 degrees. Perfect. What happened? The fridge does not heal itself or does it? They clearly pulled the thermometer out of the fridge, set it on the counter, and waited for the temperature to hit 60 degrees and took that picture. It was 68 degrees in the house (birr) with all of the lights on from the night before. They complained that the air did not work efficiently, (they had the window open as seen in the picture), it was 85 during the day, with humidity. So, you are correct that the air is slow with the windows open and it being extremely humid out/hot out. I generally leave the house at 73 degrees and people adjust it down or up when they get there. Just like you would do in a hotel. The house did not/does not smell of mold. They said that the girls had headaches from the mold in the back of the house, but they slept in the front of the house? They even took a picture of the windowsill, yes it had dust on it. with a few sprinkles of water. YES the house is on a dirt road, and obviously someone had the window open when it rained, hardly a condition of mold. The scrape in the ceiling in the master bedroom… Yes, I had a piece of exercise equipment that when I tried to move it out, it kissed the ceiling. The scrape marks have been painted over, but still you can see where this incidence happened, as there is a popcorn ceiling. There is the stained chair IN THE PORCH. Yes, I have tried to clean it, but those stains have persisted. I love this chair, it is great for siting on in the sunny mornings drinking coffee. Yes, it is still there, It is a love affair I will have to deal with. Oh, I almost forgot… my dental pic that must of fell off my purse when I was leaving. Bloody? I use dental pics regularly and I know it was not bloody. Yet another fabrication. Yes, I get it, gross that I dropped it on the floor on my way out and I will try and be more careful. This is a beautiful home, that is clean and well cared for. Come see for yourself.
