Les racines de la rivière en vélo Trailheads sont situés à seulement 7 miles à Lanesboro, ou seulement 5 miles à la fontaine.
Notre merveilleuse cabane rustique, est juste à côté de Trout Run, une pêche truite brune fabuleux, avec beaucoup de l'accès du public.
Cette grande disposition de la salle ouverte, pourra accueillir votre famille pour la pêche, le vélo, la randonnée, le canoë-kayak et des aventures. Une grande terrasse, il est facile d'avoir des feux de camp, et profiter des couchers de soleil romantiques. Tables supplémentaires sont prévus pour le week-end escapade de scrapbooking. Il ya une cuisine complète pour créer des repas de la famille et des souvenirs. Ceci est une cabine confortable et douillet, avec de nombreuses commodités modernes.
La semaine dernière, les hiboux étaient appelant juste après la tombée et le Coyote a commencé à chanter autour de minuit.

Quiet stay near a Trout Stream in the Countryside

We enjoyed the property .Provate. Nice view and spacious inside. The bathroom is tiny but suffice for an old style cabin in the country experience. Would recommend for a quiet, no frills getaway in the driftless area of Minnesota.

Weekend getaway

The cabins in a great location. And the host is easily accessible and a great communicator. Overall, the cabin was a great experience. The lodging can use some TLC. There were some broken screens and the picnic table is a little wobbly should be sanded down or replaced. Would’ve been nice to have Wi-Fi but not necessary. Would absolutely recommend this location if you’re looking to unplug and just relax and enjoy nature.

Location, locaton, location

This cabin is set on a bluff overlooking Trout Run, a premier brown trout stream in the Minnesota Driftless Area and a green valley where cows graze. Access to the stream is across the street from a park within 1/4 mile. The large picture windows allow for great bird watching in the huge oak canopy they overlook. It was a beautiful view. The mattress was newer & bed comfortable. The air conditioner is noisy but cooled well. The collection of vintage signs covering the walls was fascinating. Sadly, maintainence and deep cleaning of the cabin seem to have been neglected for a few years which diminished the experience. Repairing the torn screen on one sliding glass door and adding a screen to the other one, fixing some windows so they can be cranked open, and a fresh coat of paint on the deck would add value. The kitchen lacked a can opener, a paring knife, a covered casserole dish for microwaving and a baking sheet. The dented & scratched pots & pans need replacing and lids that fit. Mice are present - found new droppings on counter and chewed bread bag, then their nest in broiler drawer. Not unusual to get mice in the country, but traps or mouse bait are cheap and effective to control them.

The best part of this cabin is the old adage: location, location, location. It is situated on a hill overlooking Trout Run Creek, a picturesque trout stream. The stream flows through a cattle pasture that separates the cabin from the stream. Admittedly, the cows were adorable and didn't pay much attention to our presence (aside from an occasional side-eye from the HUGE bull). The cabin and it's furnishings, however, were not as charming. The cabin is described as being "one bedroom". This implies a bedroom. There is none. It is a one-room cabin with a bed in the living area. The decor is varnished exterior plywood covered with road signs, animal heads and, inexplicably, empty lard cans suspended from the ceiling. It's an interesting mix. Importantly, if traveling with family, there is no wifi and hence, no internet. The listing also says there is a TV, but we found none. Be prepared to entertain yourselves in the evening. Luckily, we brought cards and a cribbage board. Still, my son had an assignment due at school and we had to drive to town for internet so he could work on it and upload it. Also not present: no spices or other kitchen niceties. No salt, no pepper, no sugar, no cooking oil, no paper towels for that matter. Be prepared to bring everything you may need to cook and eat. Note: there is also no counter space for food prep. The hot water heater supplies enough water for a short shower, that pulses hot and then cold. It's a fine cabin for a guy fishing trip.

We love this cabin so much! It’s one of our favorite places to go and we visit at least 2x per year now. It’s rustic, private, you can see the trout stream from the cabin, and watch cows roam the pasture. 10 outta 10!

Lovely rural cabin in SE Minnesota

We really loved this cabin. Quiet and away from people with great access to trout fishing and located close to several state parks and the small towns along the Root River. Would definitely book this accommodation again.

Nice get away

The cabin it self is decorated super cool. The cabin is rustic nice to get off the grid our phones didn't even work there so super peaceful good for the soul. Now if I could have just got the fish to bite. It list's a TV which missing but that just made it that much more peaceful so not dinging the owner just letting them know and the cabin needs a can opener we couldn't find one so again just letting the Werner know could be added. Overall that was a very relaxing peaceful 3 night stay. The cabin is a great get away

Very nice setting

We enjoyed a nice long weekend. The cabin was as described, rustic but nice and clean. We enjoyed the cows with calves in the pasture. Our adult daughter who stayed with us said we should come back in the fall.

Weekend getaway.

If you are looking for a scenic, no frills, simple lodging this is a great choice. Little to no cell phone connection. No TV and other outside world interruptions. Just the scenic beauty, a local heard of cattle grazing, fly fisherman testing their skills against the trout and a camp fire to relax with.

Depends on what you want

The location was (for 2 fly fishermen) superb. The actual facility was so-so—at a premium price. It was fairly clean, and the ac worked, but there are a lot if things that could/should be fixed: a horde of ants in the kitchen, window cranks that wouldn’t open the windows, leaky kitchen sink, marginal shower, screen on the sliding door torn……not big on the animal heads, wolf pelt, but that’s just me. Fishing was good; view from the livingroom is lovely, but if our wives had been with us, they would have run to the nearest motel.

Absolutely relaxing, scenic, and would love to come back.

We had the most peaceful week at your beautiful cabin! Only one thing I am so upset about, is that we inadvertently left my wooden cane behind. My husband had this cane made just for me. I am so, so sad about this and am wondering how could I get this shipped back to me, on our dime? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am handicapped and so sad about this. It was accidentally left behind the door.

Hunting/Fishing Shack

Excellent location overlooking Trout Run Creek. Nice deck overlooking the creek. The condition of property is fair. Makes us think of a fishing/hunting shack. Not meant to spend time in or cook. Upon entering the space we were confronted by a strong smell of mildew. Had to locate the thermostat to warm up the space and plug in the hot water tank. Had to leave for an hour while space warmed up. Lots of flies. Mousetraps. Uncomfortable lounge chairs. The bed was uncomfortable. Difficult to sleep in. A hodgepodge of a kitchen. Lids don't match pans. Few outlets. Limited kitchen supplies. Rancid cooking oil. Fortunately, we brought our own cooking supplies. Poor set up for cooking. Extension cords with surge protector. The lids don't match the pans. Oven not calibrated/inaccurate temperature. The bathroom space is cramped. Smells. Uncomfortable to stay in. Left a day early.
