Thoughtfully appointed kitchen, well laid out floor plan, cozy and efficient living with beautiful balconies. We had three generations with ample room for everyone and loved it. Great location too.

Not comfortable

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at mountain laurel last week...the place is nice.although alit smaller than the pics show on line.thw biggest complaint we had was the furniture in the living room...its old and looks like office full couch,no recliner?? You just sit there at 90 degrees like you are in the office at work..very,very uncomfortable..also the tv's are tiny...we had to lay in bed to fully relax to watch TV in a 18inch tv...if the furniture was updated then I would recommend this place but until then no.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Cabin was good not perfect broken tub nozzle, burnt out light bulb in bath, ask before we arrived to be sure deck was clean was guaranteed it would be ( have had issue with this every cabin we've stayed in) it was not clean bugs, spider webs ect. My husband ended up cleaning it since my grandkids wanted to be out on it. Kitchen towels 2 thin ones thats it. The absolute best part bears everyday! We rented from Elk Spring numerous times.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: What a nice cabin. It was far enough from town we didn’t have the traffic but close enough to drive there. The cabin was very spacious and homey. My family and I had a great time. The only thing I found wrong was there were no dish towels or clothes to wash dishes. Other than that it was perfect!!

Mountain Laurel stay :)

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I took my son here for his 16th birthday and it was everything we thought it would be! The cabin was just like the photos. It was clean, comfortable and we were close everything, supermarket, downtown etc. The bottom level was like a man cave for the boys and that was the highlight of their stay! We had a nice time. We also got to check in early at no extra cost, which was perfect because we arrived early that morning from Florida. This is my second time staying with Elk Springs and It won't be my last. They are absolutely wonderful, from the moment I booked my stay until check out! ;)
Réponse de VrboOwner le 30 avr. 2026
Thank you so much for sharing this—it means a lot to us! We are honored you chose Mountain Laurel to celebrate your sons 16th birthday, and its wonderful to hear it lived up to your expectations. It sounds like the lower level was a big hit—those “man cave” moments always make for great memories! We are also glad the early check-in helped make your travel day a little smoother after your trip from Florida. Hearing that this is your second stay with us and that you continue to have such positive experiences truly makes our day. We would love to welcome you back again for your next getaway! Remember, as a repeat visitor you will save 10% on future stays. Hurry back, new memories are awaiting to be made!! :)

A beautful place to stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love the cabin , we did have 1 minor problem to let you know about the upstairs shower and downstairs showers were very little water pressure like we could hardly rise our hair and the upstairs toilet had trouble flushing so maybe get that checked . One other thing we think the basement needs a better heater or vent it was very cold down there and when we turned the heat up it got too hot upstairs .. but overall we loved the cabin. It is beautiful and its location is great .
