Welcome to The Gathering at Jonmart! This house has been the heart of our family for many years, and it’s a place where we’ve celebrated birthdays, holidays, and countless special moments with family and friends. We hope that during your stay, you’ll feel the same warmth and comfort that has made this home so meaningful to us.

We created this house book to help you make the most of your visit. Inside, you’ll find everything you need to navigate the home, operate appliances, and stay safe, as well as recommendations for exploring Salem and enjoying the local area. Our hope is that this home will be a welcoming place for you to relax, gather, and make your own memories with family and friends.

The Gathering at Jonmart is conveniently located near essential amenities and attractions. The nearest grocery store and gas station is Safeway on South Commercial Street. Many restaurants and cafes are within a short distance along Commercial Street. Public transportation is also within walking distance, making it easy to explore Salem without a car.

For outdoor enthusiasts, there are several parks and recreational areas within 20 miles, including Riverfront Park, Bush’s Pasture Park, Minto-Brown Island Park, Wallace Marine Park, Salem Skate Park, and Willamette Mission State Park.
Popular local attractions within a 50-mile radius include the Oregon State Capitol, Willamette Valley Vineyards, Silver Falls State Park, Enchanted Forest Theme Park, Gilbert House Children’s Museum, and the Historic Deepwood Estate.

Salem hosts a variety of seasonal events that you won’t want to miss. One of the highlights is the Cherry Blossoms at the Oregon State Capitol Building (early spring, usually March–April), which occurs when the Capitol grounds are covered in beautiful cherry trees. Other seasonal events include:
