The Space:
Welcome to Cobblestone Manor Penthouse, an iconic rooftop retreat crowning a historic pre-war elevator condominium at the crossroads of the East Village and Union Square. Featured in publications for its rare rooftop cottages, this light-filled three-bedroom, three-bath duplex spans approximately 1,972 square feet and blends timeless New York character with modern luxury. Soaring ceilings, restored exposed brick, hardwood oak floors, and custom carpentry define the expansive living and dining areas, elegantly divided by a brick archway and warmed by multiple wood-burning fireplaces. The open chefâs kitchen is fully equipped with premium appliances, including a Wolf range and Miele dishwasher, ideal for effortless city living.
Upstairs, a stunning solarium with skylights leads to the serene primary suite with a spa-like bath, steam shower, soaking tub, study area, and fireplace. Two private garden terraces create a true rooftop cottage experience, including an outdoor fireplace, retractable awning, irrigation system, and skyline views. Additional amenities include smart Nest-controlled central air, high-speed Wi-Fi, in-unit washer/dryer, and elevator access steps from Union Square transit, Trader Joeâs, Whole Foods, and downtownâs best dining and culture.
To finalize your reservation, all guests must pass a mandatory third-party screening process.

This property requires owner approval for all reservations, and is subject to a background check after the booking is completed to confirm the reservation.
The Neighborhood:
The East Village is known for its happening nightlife. Old-school bars, music venues, and performance spaces share the streets with posh cocktail lounges and hip restaurants. Daytime sees a more laid-back crowd browsing boutiques, vintage shops and tattoo parlors, and dining at casual cafes. Once the epicenter of the city's punk scene, St. Mark's Place now features of-the-moment fast-food eateries and souvenir shops.
Other Things to Note:
Pets are allowed with owner approval and a one time $350 charge. Rove requires a property rental agreement to be signed by the primary guest prior to arrival for all reservations at this home.
As a reminder, smoking is not allowed anywhere on the property, in the home or in the outside areas of the home. Smoking will result in a odor removal fee of no less than $500 and up to $1,000 as well as possible removal from the property.
For all reservations with stays of 60 nights or longer, a full mid-stay cleaning by our housekeeping team is required every 30 days. The required mid-stay cleaning fee(s) will be invoiced immediately prior to the service and upon coordination of a suitable date and time for the cleaning to take place.
- Stays up to 89 nights: $2,500 credit hold
- Stays between 90 and 179 nights: $5,000 credit hold
- Stays of 180 nights or longer: Cash security deposit equal to one monthâs rent
All security deposits are processed as a credit card hold 2 days prior to arrival and released 2 days after departure, or as a bank transfer for stays of 180 nights or longer.
