We spent 5 very happy weeks in the townhouse with family and friends. The house is spacious (especially by NYC standards), and full of style, charm and character. Also such a luxury to have an outdoors patio and garden in New York!
And your neighbors are the Gramercy Tavern and Union Square.
Brenda was an amazing host!
We hope to make this NYC trip an annual tradition.
This is a truly an oasis in the city. The property is beautiful, even much better than the photos online. When first arriving we noted the elegance, and soon came to also appreciate how comfortable and welcoming the townhouse is. The location is great - very close to the East Village, Gramercy, Flat Iron, Union Square, NYU - with many other areas within walking distance. Brenda was very helpful and responsive during the booking process and throughout our entire stay. When checking out, we talked about how we would miss the townhouse. Bottom line - this was really a home away from home that we enjoyed and that we will remember very fondly.
I have stayed in New York over 100 times and this was my favorite stay. The home is beautiful, the neighborhood is quiet--you forget you are in the middle of the city, yet everything is so convenient to get to. We ended up hanging out in the house a lot and ordering in for dinner because the atmosphere was so relaxing. This is a great house for families or friends. The owner is super responsive, warm, and professional. The house was very clean, it had everything we could possibly need, the outdoor areas were really fun since that is so rare in the city--unique and above and beyond on many levels. Highly recommend.
Brenda's home in Gramercy neighborhood exceeded our expectations. We rented her home for 6 weeks to work remotely and explore NYC and it was perfect. There was plenty of space, including a full office, 4 bedrooms with soft and comfortable linens, kitchen and large living room. The master bedroom was large with a spacious bathroom. There is a charming outdoor space, which we loved to use for reading, relaxing or just enjoying the beautiful NYC weather.
The house is stocked with all the essentials from washer/dryer, soap products in bathrooms, hair dryers, high end kitchen appliances & more.
Brenda was a great host and very responsive with ideas and suggestions of what to do around town. The best secret about this townhome is that it's on a quiet street with minimal street traffic. We walked everywhere from here from the village, SOHO, theater district, but you are also 5 minute walk to the subway.
You cannot go wrong with this high-end, luxurious townhome in Gramercy.
We loved all the space! Absolutely did not feel like NYC yet such a great location. Nice back patio felt very private. The main bedroom was beautiful and the linens were amazing! Perfect 5 place to stay for 5 weeks in Manhattan!
We stayed at Brendaâs townhouse over the summer. It was an absolutely beautiful townhome in a great neighborhood right on the border of Gramercy Park in the East Village. Brenda was very helpful and super responsive and was able to help us set up a weekly cleaning service. We would definitely stay here again.
My husband and I had an excellent two-week stay here with our teenagers. The house is grand and well-appointed, but very comfortable - even nicer than it appears in photos. There is generous common space and a bright office, a spacious backyard and a kitchen thatâs great for cooking - not that you will want to because you are in the heart of NYC and near so many restaurants. The best bagel place in the city is right across the street.
Brenda was an absolute pleasure to deal with. We had to adjust our travel dates due to COVID-19 and she was accommodating, fair and kind.
I grew up in NYC and have stayed in many a rental when returning to visit family. I really canât recommend this place enough. We look forward to staying there again.
Simply a special NYC experience. The house has unbelievable charm and ease of use. Proximity to many restaurants and other parts of the city make this location a no brainer for those looking for a unique experience. Brenda was very easy to work with and we'd certainly love to stay here again! Rave review!
My family and I had the most wonderful stay here over the holidays. Brenda was the most accommodating host and made check in, check out and everything in between incredibly easy. This home is one of a kind and is a true gem! We loved our stay and couldnât be more grateful to have spent the holidays in Brendas beautiful home.
Gramercy Townhouse has a rich history as an old brownstone and legend has it that it was originally built as part of Peter Stuyvesant's farm in the late 1800's. At that time, 20th street was as far uptown as Manhattan went. The author Caleb Carr describes in beautiful detail the exact period and area in his novel, "The Alienist." The fertile area is brought to life in the quiet backyard rife with nature and home to several species of birds, including woodpeckers, blue jays, and morning doves. It's hard to believe that one is in the heart of NYC is this beautiful peaceful home. Gramercy townhouse is very loved and the owner has rebuilt the townhouse herself and equipped it with all modern equipment and features including 2 separate internets for working from home.
