The Space:
Designed by a retired shipbuilder, the lodge layers wood paneling, metal beams, and original tilework, incorporating an ingenious layering of materials and raw elements throughout the space, creating a a one-of-a-kind memorable escape. Walls of windows capture the dramatic Morongo Valley basin below, with panoramic views stretching to the San Jacinto and San Gorgonio mountain peaks. Every corner holds discovery, from sculptural furniture to vintage records, that will remind you of the warmth and nostalgia of years gone by with a sense of Hollywood glam.

The Big Cat Lounge, just off the main living area, is an eclectic lounge space with a half-moon sofa, karaoke, a projector screen for movie nights and a high-fidelity sound system with a massive record collection and synchronized lights. Truly decked out for an immersive entertainment experience.

The kitchen is truly a fully stocked chefâs kitchen and has every tool, sharp knife, and specialty item you could want, plus a high-quality burr grinder and Joshua Tree Coffee Co. beans to start your mornings right. For meals al fresco, you can enjoy the views and meals from the outdoor dining table on the back patio.

Starfire Lodge is located in the private and serene town of Morongo Valley. Morongo Valley is a very special mountain-meets-desert community, located roughly equidistant from Palm Springs and the entrance to Joshua Tree National Park. It is in the perfect zone just below the final pass to the Hi-Desert, which makes it more comfortable in the hot summer months than Palm Springs, and warmer in the winter months than other Hi-Desert areas above of Pioneertown and Yucca Valley. The lodge is tucked back against the mountains just before you exit the valley to points higher, and while there are neighbors, all properties are on acreage, so privacy there is a distinct sense of privacy to go along with the grand views. Here, you'll experience a true desert escape off the beaten path.

A personal vehicle is necessary; rideshare apps are not guaranteed in this area.

Starfire Lodge welcomes your dogs! There is a $100 per dog per stay fee. Please note on your reservation if you are bringing dog(s) and how many, and we will adjust the price accordingly. There is an unauthorized pet fee of $500. Please use the provided dog sheets before allowing your dogs on any furniture. Cats and other pets are not allowed.
-Cowboy Pool and Hot Tub Service-
The cowboy pool and hot tub are serviced Tuesday and Friday, approximately between 11am and 4pm. Please note that these times are estimates and may change slightly due to our technician's busy schedule. He will not approach the house but will go directly through to the backyard.
