Great location and love alllll the openness of the house! I would have liked to seen more dishes, drinking glasses. Also, needs maybe a fresh coat of paint inside… especially the main floor living room and kitchen. Not that I’m an interior designer, but something more up to date. :-)

A very roomy cabin with excellent views! You'll be able to watch clouds roll over the mountains from your bedroom window and balcony. There's a loft area with a desk if you need to work remotely. There's also 3 nice bedrooms. I'll be back to rent it again soon!

Beautiful house, but could use a little updating, still a lot for the price! The refrigerator wouldn't make cubed ice, just crushed, and got stuck in water mode, we would just pull out icemaker to get what we needed, maybe owner can fix for next. The thermostat is programmed on some kind of temperature zone and isn't the most user friendly. We would get temp where we wanted but it defaulted while we were out. The location is very secluded and peaceful. The driveway is definitely steep! We parked in the two spaces in front of house. Room for 2 mid size suvs. Very spacious home with more than enough room for our 5 and a dog. Just be aware if you want to go into chimney rock area or the Ingles grocery nearby, that the Buffalo Shoals road bridge is closed from 8 to 5 on week days. That piece of info can save you a extra 20 minutes travel time when bridge open! Overall it was a peaceful stay, and we enjoyed our time!

Wonderful Property!

This cabin has a great view of the mountains and cove! Inside is a treat, with a terrific kitchen. Three distinct living areas give privacy even with large groups. Very peaceful and serene. Thank you Cheyenne and Mr Lake Lure!

As we are in the mountains we do have some steep driveways but with that being said our housekeepers and inspectors have no trouble getting in or out of the homes. We wished you would of called our office about the blanket and we could of brought you another one out. And since you mentioned the bed in the basement we can send someone out to see why it needs replaced and speak with the home owners. Amazing time!

Bearmoon Lodge is a great cabin to stay at when visiting Lake Lure. We have been to three other cabins on previous vacations and this one is by far the best one. The location is amazing with the mountainous views. It is also not too far from the Lake Lure beach and Chimney Rock Village and State Park (which is a must). The cabin is well maintained and has all that you would need. Bearmoon's floorplan is great and the rooms are spacious as well. I truly recommend this cabin if anyone is looking to stay in Lake Lure. 👍👍

Except for the fake main fireplace, everything was great! Having a fire in the main living room was a key anticipation. But to our dismay, it did not work but it had a fake electronic visual light in the place of the fire. It was very nice in the featured photography, but was a let down in person. Beautiful cabin!

Beautiful Place

The Cabin was great. The view okay. The trees need to be cut back To be able to see the view off the deck. The driveway is very steep. We had a great time at the Cabin.

For the most part the house was very nice and every bit as described. However, there were some bumps: Our first night our plans needed to be quickly changed once we realized we had a Non working bbq and that ruined the 1st evening. We had no alternate meal plan there was a water leak in the lower level bedroom. Water on carpet in lower level bedroom for 2.5 days. Extremely inconvenient to my brother and his wife. The maintenance folks coming and going for 2 days. They were awesome, Nicole and Dawn were very professional but still. We had strangers around when we were trying to reconnect after 14 years of not seeing each other. The house itself was exactly as pictured. The area is beautiful. This was a family reunion and once we got past the bumps we had a great time. I'm hoping some sort of remedy is made.

Great Weekend Getaway!

This house is amazing! Clean, comfortable, well furnished and had all of the necessities for a fun girls' weekend. There were 4 adults and 1 teen, and we each had our own bed which was nice. Lots of deck space to sit and relax and enjoy the view. The driveway is super steep, and we were too chicken to try it, but there was enough room at the top for both our vehicles and easy access to the stairs. I could imagine staying there for a week and being happy with the space.

So that future Guests are not discouraged by your comment, we have rented the home literally hundreds of times since 2017 and never had any incidents with the driveway. Because Lake Lure is built on a dammed-up gorge, many of our homes around the lake have sloping driveways. It's certainly not unique to this home. Once you go in and out one time, it's not too scary. Get cabin

This is a nice house with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The house it self was in fantastic shape. The deck needs some repairs. There is not much of any views with leaves on trees. It is very close to Lake Lure and Chimney Rock. I would stay here again.

Family Vaca

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bearmoon. The house was in a beautiful location, sufficiently furnished, clean and easy to get to. House is very roomy and allowed us to spread out, and still have family time. We had a few minor issues and the response was very quick and problem was quickly resolved. I would agree the driveway was VERY steep, but there is an alternative place to park that is also convenient. Our whole experience was very positive and we would rent again.

Beautiful Lake Lure

The house is beautiful and has lots of space for spreading out. The number of rooms and bathrooms as well as living space was perfect for our trip. The house is beautifully decorated. The neighborhood is gorgeous. Our view of the lake was perfect. Our only disappointment was the fireplace didn’t work and the steep driveway. It was a little intimidating. Other than that, everything was great.

We read the reviews so we new what we were getting into. No access to the lake from the house. The drive way is step. We parked at the top of the hill by the trash cans. This house is nice and we did not need for anything. We had a great time.

Great weekend!

Great “Friendsgiving” with my team. Plenty of room. Secluded & cozy. Driveway would definitely be hard to see at night. We may have just missed it if there is one…but if there isn’t one, an address number at the top of the driveway BEFORE you pass it would be helpful as we missed it on our first try getting there. All over great stay! Will definitely be back

Great Family Weekend

We had our adult children and spouses together for great weekend on Lake Lure. Location of property was real convenient to boat rental, restaurants, grocery store etc... Driveway steep but manageable. House needs a sign with street # on it. We drove right past and went down hill on one lane road (newly paved) Glad noone coming down while we were heading back up to driveway entrance

The area was great, the house was great, but the view that is advertised is nothing but a view of trees that need to he cut down! We were very disappointed as the view was the main reason we chose this cabin

Hi Michael: Thank you for the review. Yes, the summer foliage does block the view. You were here in mid July, when the foliage is at its absolute thickest. That is why the listing for the home stresses that it has seasonal fall / winter views, when there are not leaves on the trees.
