Our host was incredibly responsive and accomodating. The interior of the cottage was exactly as pictured, and well appointed with games, linens, kitchen "stuff", etc.. Large deck with a great mountain view. Short trip into restaurants and the newly renovated beach and walking areas. Ample parking at the cottage.

We could not have asked for a better home base for our weekend getaway to Lake Lure. We had everything we needed at the cabin. Our host, Ryan, was responsive and shared great ideas for the area. The location is hard to beat, just minutes from Chimney Rock State Park where we hiked and explored. After a busy day out, it was just as nice to come back to the cabin and rest. Highly recommend, it is simply a beautiful, peaceful place. I’m hoping to get back there with more family and friends.

The host was very quick to respond to emails and the check in process was very smooth.The house is very cute and comfortable. the mountain view was awesome. unfortunately, the grounds were overgrown and we were not able to even get a peek of the lake which was disappointing. Very peaceful and relaxing.

We loved sitting on the porch and taking in the view of Lake Lure and the mountains with a cup of coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening! Great location to Chimney Rock and Rumbling Bald(for fellow rock climbers out there). Excellent, timely communication with the owner. Would stay here again!

Family Get Away

Great stay at the house in Lake Lure. The house is convenient to all of the main attractions; with about a 10 minute drive to the Lake Lure Beach and the Lake House Restaurant for reference.

We had a wonderful stay. Very clean with a cozy cabin retreat feel. We chose this mountain house so we would have a view and to be close the chimneys rock. Nice large deck to enjoy that view. Our host were in quick communication with us for check-in and check-out. Sent us all the information needed for a smooth stay. I was happy to see Lake Lure is making a come back after the hurricane.

The views were blocked by trees. The views have the potential but the landscape was over grown and needed attention. But the house itself was according to the description. We had no issues with the house. We were just a little down by the lack of views because we decided on this house because of the views in the description and pictures.

Very clean and fully stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Beds were comfortable. Quiet location yet close to restaurants, beach, and shops. Beautiful views of mountains and the lake. We loved it and had an enjoyable holiday! Would definitely recommend.

Amazing view

We’re really pleased with staying at Lure you inn. The house provided everything you could want and more than other vacation homes we’ve stayed at. The view from back deck was amazing and could have spent most of the time there. The location was very central to the lake and chimney rock.

This property is the cleanest of our 40+ vacation rentals in the past 11 years. Well-appointed, comfortable and tremendous views of Lake Lure and Chimney Rock mountains. Very highly recommended!

Property was adorable. Very charming home. Everything we needed to stay in and enjoy the beautiful view or take the short ride into town. Owners were easy to work with. House was clean. The beds were comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

Peaceful retreat

Clean except for some stray spiderwebs. Very comfortable beds. The upper deck is the star of this home, with great view north of Chimney Rock park. It will be even better when the Lake is filled again.

Great view!

The view from the outside deck overlooking the lake in the mountains is absolutely beautiful, especially at night sunset. Huge master downstairs is incredible as well. Spiral staircases a little tricky. Easy location to get to the beach, grocery store shops and chimney Rock Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would rent again.

Cozy, comfortable cabin in the mountains

Great host! Ryan was super attentive to all our needs. House is lovely, safe neighborhood. We saw a bear, and some deer. Lots of things closed due to hurricane damage. No lake, no beach, no water park. Our granddaughters were pretty bored. Hope to return when everything is open again.

Amazing Weekend

This home will most definitely be a repeat location. From initial booking all the way to departure the communication was amazing and the listing was exactly as described. So close to everything but feels far away. We sat on the porch each night and watch the storms come across the mountain. How relaxing. If I could give 10 stars I would!

Family getaway at the lake

We had a wonderful time at Lake Lure this summer. The house was beautifully decorated, clean, and well stocked with all the things you would need to have an enjoyable stay at the lake. The neighbors are extremely friendly. The house is close to the lake. The upper porch, family room/dining area, and one of the bedrooms overlooks the lake. There are restaurants close by. We went to the Biltmore House, which is a 45 min. drive, and Chimney Rock which is the next town. We highly recommend this home to anyone who would love to have a relaxing vacation at Lake Lure.

Close to chimney rock

We enjoyed our stay here. The decks were nice. The beds were comfy. The AC thermostat was odd. We enjoyed the lower level hammock chairs. We were a little disappointed in the lack of view of the lake. The trees were too bushy. Overall our stay was nice and enjoyable. Close to chimney rock and tubing at green river cove was really fun. We would stay here again if we ended up in that area. Ryan was very responsive to any questions we had. Very nicely updated on the inside.

The landscaping around the property could use some attention, as the lake view was totally obstructed and 9pm is a little late and inconvenient to discover the tanks were empty in the gas grill and fire pit. Other than that ,the property was as advertised.
