Welcome to Lindsay Way Retreat! Tucked off the main road, the home is the perfect location to unwind and explore everything Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park has to offer.

<< Now available for winter stays December 2025 - March/April 2026. >>

Built in 2006, you'll find wood floor throughout the first floor, the bright living and dining areas with seating for everyone, a well-equipped kitchen, laundry and a œ bath.

Upstairs are 3 roomy bedrooms, including the master with king bed and ensuite bathroom. Two additional bedrooms include one with a queen bed, and one with 2 twin beds. The hall bathroom has tub/shower.

Many amenities are provided, and the kitchen has just about anything you'd need to cook up a great meal for your family and friends.

Outside, enjoy grilling up your favorite foods and sharing family meals around the picnic table. The area is shaded but allows stunning views of the night sky!

The townhome offers plenty of privacy as only one of two units, and the location affords easy access to all the sites and activities of the area. Even leave the car at home and hop on the free Island Explorer bus, which runs mid-June until mid-October. The Explorer is very convenient and goes everywhere around downtown and Acadia.

Nearby, Lindsay Way Retreat is within walking or biking distance to many activities - there's something for everyone: launch kayaks or swim at Hadley Point Beach. Enjoy a flatbread pizza and other fresh food at Sweet Pea's Farm Kitchen, and satisfy your lobster cravings at C-Ray Lobster Pound - all just a few minutes-walk or bike ride away. And in a 5-minute drive have fun at Pirate's Cove Mini Golf, featuring two fun-themed courses!

Window air conditioners provide comfort during the summer months, and a garage is available for your vehicle or bikes upon request.

Great Location, But Home Needs Attention

We recently stayed at this rental and really appreciated the location—it’s on a quiet street but still super convenient to both Acadia National Park and downtown Bar Harbor. We loved being so close to everything without the noise or crowds.That said, the home itself is in need of some care. It feels quite worn and could benefit from a deep cleaning and some maintenance. For example, the kitchen faucet leaked whenever it was turned on high, and several of the walls had patchwork but hadn’t been repainted yet. The stove dials were so worn that we couldn’t read the temperature settings, which made cooking a bit tricky.The biggest issue for us, though, was the presence of bugs—especially upstairs. Each night, we found numerous bugs in the bedrooms and bathrooms, more than what you would expect, which made it hard to fully relax.We were there for the heat wave and a/c in each room worked great! Overall, we enjoyed the area and the peaceful location, but with some updates and a bit more attention to cleanliness and upkeep, this home could be a much more comfortable place to stay.

Property was absolutely great! This was probably the first property that we’ve stayed in that literally had everything that you can imagine from the shampoo soap that was provided to the many different spices in the cabinet. The location was great for Bar Harbor and Acadia. Would certainly recommend this place and would stay again.

Ad did not totally give a good description

Never mentioned that there were many steep stairs not conducive to the elderly or physically unable to go upstairs to the bedrooms and showers. No safety bars in bathrooms or porch. We never were required to strip beds and bring bed linens down stairs before Leaving. We were very uncomfortable as one member of our group had to sleep on the couch and could not get a shower so we left a day early.

First time to Maine

Our host dialed up great weather for us and the location of the home was central to us enjoying the national park. Easy for us to drive to all parts of Acadia. Able to get to different activities from this spot as well.

Would stay there again.

Weather was not ideal and not all businesses open yet which is fine with me - no crowds to deal with. Went to Bar Harbor to relax and have been to Bar Harbor many a times in the past - first time using VRBO. Will visit Bar Harbor again, God willing.

Fantastic place to unwind

We stayed at the property while enjoying the hiking around Acadia. It was the perfect spot to come back and relax in after a long day of hiking. It’s close enough to Bar Harbor to reach fairly quickly, and there is a great nearby grocery store. During the summer it’s also near a putt putt, winery, and brewery.

The property was as advertised and Veena, contact person, was a pleasure to work with. The unit is located on a short cut-de-sac and very quiet. It is a short drive from Acadia and downtown Bar Harbor. We will certainly stay here on our next visit to the island.

As comfortable as being at home!

We stayed an entire week while vacationing in the area. The house is well located between Bar Harbor/Acadia and Ellsworth allowing us to shop, eat and go sight seeing easily. It is also a quick walk to a winery for a tasting and you can flag down the free bus to go where you need to without driving and paying for parking. The house has everything you need for any member of the family with extra easily accessible. If we don't stay there again we will definitely recommend it to friends.

Very comfortable townhouse

This townhouse was very clean and quiet and the beds were quite comfortable. The kitchen, dining, and living area are spacious. It was perfect for our family of 5.

Hi, I'm Daria, and am happy to be managing this lovely townhome. I also manage four additional vacation homes in the area - two of them we own. My husband and I fell in love with Maine and we have been hosting since 2012. It's our happy place and know you'll love it here too!

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

This townhome is in the perfect location and easily accommodates up to six. Not only is the home located walking distance to a beach, a lobster pound, and great restaurant, but you're also steps away from hopping on the Island Explorer - the free electric bus to/from Bar Harbor and Acadia. But if you do drive - you're minutes from town and all the sites. And at the end of the day, it's a quick drive back to enjoy an outside meal on the BBQ and relax among the stars.
