Située à quatre miles du centre-ville de Bar Harbor et un miles et demi de l'entrée du parc national Acadia, cette spacieuse maison de poste et faisceau donnant sur une prairie vierge fournit un environnement parfait pour vous et votre famille pour passer vos vacances. La maison est située en retrait de la route 3 fournissant un endroit sûr et privé pour les enfants à jouer et les adultes pour se détendre, tout en offrant un accès facile aux attractions de l'île. Le L. L. Bean bus Island Explorer est gratuit et vous chercher à la fin de l'allée pour vous emmener en ville, Acadia National Park, ou ailleurs sur l'île, vous voulez aller, et vous déposer à la fin de la journée . L'intérieur de la maison est poteaux et à poutres fabriqués à la main magnifiquement avec des plafonds de neuf pieds. La chambre principale est à l'étage et a sa propre salle de bains privative. Le côté sud a de nombreuses fenêtres, permettant la lumière naturelle pendant les jours pendant que vous vous détendez dans le salon.

Notre maison: Nous avons une grande terrasse avec mobilier de jardin et barbecue à gaz. Fers à cheval dans les locaux donnant sur la belle prairie. Grand ensemble de swing et de la maison pour les enfants. Grande pelouse arrière.

Spécialités locales :: Maintenez créatures de la mer du bassin tactile et regarder les phoques se faire bronzer sur les rochers. Détente des excursions de voile sont également disponibles. Faites une promenade dans le centre-ville de Bar Harbor, ou visiter d'autres petits villages de pêche de l'île une courte distance en voiture. Avec de nombreuses boutiques diverses, vous êtes sûr de trouver le souvenir parfait pour les amis et la famille. Détendez-vous une longue journée de shopping avec un dîner de homard à l'un des restaurants locaux. Découvrez la vie nocturne Bar Harbor avec musique live et la bière brassée localement de bleuets à l'un des bars conviviaux de la ville. Consultez l'horaire Island Explorer pour un raccompagnement. Perfect for our visit to Bar Harbor & Acadia National Park

This home was perfect for our stay in Bar Harbor. So close to the Acadia National Park entrance and visitors center and to the downtown Bar Harbor area. The hike had everything we needed to make the most of our stay.

Superb location!

This location was amazing! Super close to everything, but you felt like you were in the middle of the woods.A ton of space for everyone in our family, including the pup. We would love to stay again!

Week in Bar Harbor

Our family of four and dog had a wonderful week here! It was perfectly located to get around the island by car and had everything we needed at the house. The yard was huge for the kids and dog to run around. Thanks for having us!

Enjoyable and Good Location

The home was very comfortable for our group and Melanie was great at communicating with us. My only suggestion to Melanie would be to have a nicer kitchen setup with enough matching plates and accessories. Maybe some nicer bath towels would be great too. Thanks for the stay!

Amazing vacation

As soon as we entered the home we knew we were in for a fantastic stay! We had so much room to spread out, the kitchen and the deck is where we spent most of our time though. Sitting on the deck, looking out into the meadow was amazing. The home had all the things we needed, we even cooked dinner there one night. Loved our stay and when we hopefully return to Bar Harbor, we will want to stay here again!

Perfect Distance from Acadia and Bar Harbor

Bar Harbor traffic is crazy! Was so nice to be just outside in a call, serene setting. House worked great for us. Loved all the toys (inside and outside) and children’s books for my kids. House has tons of character! Would recommend anyone stay here.

Week in Acadia

We traveled with our adult children and the house was perfect. It is very close to Acadia and also to the shops and restaurants in Bar Harbor. It has an open floor plan, a big kitchen, and a welcoming back deck and yard, which were all perfect for relaxing between activities and cooking at the house. The owner was a good communicator. Overall, it was a great rental!

Wonderful Family Vacation

This home was a perfect private place for a small family gathering. We had ample space for game/movie night on the rainy days with room tor cooking and meals for eight. The location was wonderful for short drives to Jordan pond, Cadillac mountain and walking the Shore path for beginner hikers. The Bee Hive was for the more ambitious of group. The Bar Harbor Inn was especially nice to have lunch and cocktails while viewing the harbor and enjoying the warmth from the fire pit. Overall our family had a wonderful time in Bar Harbor and the surrounding area.

A Wonderful Family Vacation In Bar Harbor, Maine

Our stay at the "Post and Beam Home on Meadow" was wonderful! We had seven adults and a small dog all comfortably accommodated at this beautiful home. Mornings were spent on the deck, watching deer wander by in the large open meadow beyond the yard, and listening to singing birds. The meals we had in home were prepared in the beautiful and well appointed kitchen which had all we needed (including a propane grill on the covered entry way. The dining room for eating and games, and the living room for lounging was perfect for us. All of the bedrooms were comfortable (the master bedroom and bath were extremely spacious). The house could not have been closer to everything we wanted to visit, but was set back from the road so we felt perfectly isolated and could her no passing cars. At night, the view of the stars (and satellites) was awesome. We definitely would recommend this home for anyone needing the space and who enjoy relaxing in the outdoors. Great stay for families visiting Acadia

We stayed here with our extended family including a toddler and infant. The house has a long driveway so it sits away from the road and the outdoor space is wonderful. We loved sitting on the deck after hikes. There were lots of toys and a play set out back for the kids to enjoy. The kitchen was well-stocked. The only complaint is the carpet in two of the upstairs bedrooms was stained and worn, but they had replaced the carpet in the hallway and master so I assume the bedrooms are next. There is also plenty of parking - we had three cars and could have easily fit two more. It’s a perfect location for exploring Acadia. I was worried about staying outside of Bar Harbor but am happy we did - the yard was so pleasant to relax in after a day in the park.

comforts of home

This is our second stay at this rental. Nice, clean home away from the hubbub of downtown Bar Harbor. Kitchen is roomy and very well supplied, large dining table, comfy couches and television with satellite and 1/2 bath downstairs. Lovely large deck that overlooks big private backyard...you'll probably spot deer. One queen size bedroom downstairs, upstairs master with king and bathroom, another bedroom with queen and a room with a twin size bed that has an optional twin mattress available (stored under upstairs queen bed) that lays on floor. Also, additional full bath upstairs. Location is about 2 miles from the Hull Cove entrance to Acadia and access to carriage roads. The owner was quick to respond to any questions or issues (which we didn't have).

Great location and very clean

Lovely very clean post and beam type home in a quiet location and short drive to the action in Bar Harbor. Access to Acadia is just a couple of miles down the road. The kitchen is wonderful, spacious and well equipped. The master suite was wonderful with a private bath. The king bed was VERY comfortable and I heard no complaints about the other beds at the house. I misinterpreted the listing as I thought there were twin beds for my young grandchildren. I contacted the owner and low and behold she informed me there was a twin mattress hiding under the queen bed. Problem solved. The yard is big with room for a dog to run, kids to play and deer to graze (which they did). We didn't watch much TV but, there were plenty of stations and apps to choose from. It was great to have wifi available. There were a few cons but, nothing that would prevent me from renting here again. Some of the screens were missing so you couldn't open up a few windows for fresh air (there is a portable air conditioner hooked up for hot weather) and the double door/sliders off the dining area for easy access to back deck were broken. The kids playset was enjoyed by our 3 & 5 year olds but, may it be a bit rickety for older young children. Other than that it was a great place to return to at the end of a busy day.

Quiet getaway close to Acadia

This house is close to Acadia National Park, yet feels like you are far from town. It sits back from the road, is very quiet, and has a lovely backyard view. The downstairs is well suited to a family gathering. Enjoyed our short stay there.
