This property was amazing! It was close enough to Gatlinburg that didnt have to go far to get to the fun, but far enough that it was quiet and peaceful.
Absolutely wonderful location! I wanted a cabin by a fast-moving creek or river. This getaway was exactly that.
My main criticism was lack of cleanliness. The cabin had been given a lick and a promise. It needs deep-down cleaning at least several times a year. The glass door track on the tub was rusted and moldy. The deck had not been cleaned at all. The picnic table was nasty. The huge plate glass windows faced the river. They too needed cleaning, on the outside especially. This could be an ideal vacation spot IF it was deep cleaned.
New curtains in living area and in main bedroom were very nice. Refrigerator was spotless. We saw no bugs!
Renting the property was very easy. Renting at the last minute however, means you get what you get. With that said the location the cabin was in a beautiful! The cabin however was clearly built at least in the 60s. While there have been a few updates to the property most of the property is incredibly dated. And while on the surface things seemed tidy, it more reminded me of the visiting my great-grandmother's house... It was tidy, but it didn't really feel clean. That is not to say that this was Diamond rentals fault.... as they partner with property owners to help get their properties rented. I gave a full report including pictures of issues to Diamond rentals in the hopes that they will address the problems with the actual owners of the property. While we just needed a place to sleep it was great... it was quiet and secluded... sadly it was just a little bit farther from a lot of the activities that we would have liked to have taken our kids to do.
It was quite very little traffic and the sound of the flowing water was very soothing I would definitely recommend it and honestly hope to stay there again in the near future!
Was very easy to book , was contacted by owner with code ahead of time , liked not having to go to the rental office to check in , could go straight to cabin saving time .
This is a neat place to stay for sure, especially if you like to fish or tube in the river or just sit by the river and relax. It has a nice deck with plenty of room for grilling or just relaxing. Inside the cottage is clean, BUT needs sone major updating. I would definitely stay here again. Oh by the way, these trout live red wigglers đ
My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this quaint cabin. The location is fantastic. It's out of the main area, but no too far from all of the action. We loved being right on Little Pigeon River. It was very peaceful.
We opened the storm door and the musty mildew smell about knocked us down. This property is very out dated. The furniture was so outdated and very uncomfortable. It was so low to the ground, getting up hurt your knees so bad. The bed was good . The bathroom was horrible, just old and funky. The kitchen was good. The view out the huge dirty windows was beautiful. The humidifier ran the whole time. We were sick with allergies from the musty smell all week. Also we thought it was more secluded. The kitchen window could be a drive through, the very narrow road was that close. This property is way overpriced for a week stay in the condition itâs in.
The reason that I went to the mountains was to simply relax. I was able to do just that. The view was lovely. The place itself is REALLY, REALLY, REALLY dated and the smell of mildew. I burned candles and had 3 cans of air fresheners. The furniture was outdated. It was uncomfortable to sit on for a long time. With a few upgrades, this would be a beautiful place. I hope they do, because I want to return next year and would like the same location.
cottage is outdated and smells of mildew. property needs upgrades in the worst way. the price for what the property is is way too high it needs priced as a motel 6 not a Marriott
Very nice cozy cabin. Loved the views and the river. Cabin had everything needed Very quiet area. Close to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Will book again!
Clean, well maintained and great location for the Park and Gatlinburg area. Easy to locate and access. Bring fishing gear or a tube and enjoy that river. Ideal accommodations for 4. Nostalgic setting with all needed resources. A good location to get away from it all, but within straight 15 minute drive to Gatlinburg or the park.
