It's a perfect home for your family! Even better than the pictures show. Beautiful view...can see the bridge too! Clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. We were able to bring our dog, and she loved it too. Easy to get around the area. Liked being in a quiet peaceful setting, yet close to attractions. Bring bug spray if you are coming during mosquito season, as they were out and biting. The midges were there too, but not bad. Came and went. Loved seeing the family pictures on the walls. Felt like we were hanging with their family too. Very cute place, you won't be disappointed!

From the moment you walk in, you are transcended into another world, nautical essence meets cabin charm. The scent is fresh and oh so welcoming. The view is AMAZING - absolutely breath taking. Plenty of room for everyone. The coffee pot could use a plastic reusable strainer and need more ice cube trays. Other than that this place has everything you could need. Bring your own kleenex and insect spray. We were there during midge season and they were terrible -so no campfire or eating outside. They don't bite, just annoying - a relative of the mosquito.

The house right on the shores of Lake Huron worked great for our family of 5. The weather was raining and foggy and the views were still good. Location was great to able to explore Mackinac Island and Sault Ste Marie. Would absolutely stay again.

Brought my father, son, friend, and my lab Kaia up to the UP for an opening weekend of waterfowl hunting. The house was beautiful, but the view was amazing. Very easy processes, everything was available that we needed to enjoy. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back again!!!

Great location for our family vacation! The cabin was plenty big enough for our family and the view is amazing! We especially enjoyed the bird watching! My only comment would be things weren’t super clean upon our arrival - mainly kitchen items (ie. coffee pot) and the living room floor had a decent amount of dog hair all over.

We totally enjoyed our stay at the lakefront property. The sunrises and sunsets were spectacular. We had seven of us. The dining room table was ample big for meals and several hours of cards. The bedrooms were ample in size with great views of the lake out the windows. The locations served us well to kayak the Soo Locks and walk the narnia trail near cedarville. The suggestion given to eat at cattail cove was a good suggestion.

Perfect Weekend Getaway

What a perfect location to stay for my daughter-in-law's first ever trip to Mackinac Island! Loved the view, the location, and the peaceful mornings with coffee, a book and the lake to start your day! We cannot wait to come back!

Quiet, beautiful and off the beaten path!

We stayed with our brothers and their families. We had two kids with us, and they loved the house. We were in town for the car show in St. Ignace and enjoyed being out of town and away from all of the noise at night. The location was beautiful and peaceful. We got to see the fireworks show from the back porch over the water which was nice too!

Lovely Home on Lake Huron

My friend and I stayed here for two nights. The home was lovely and had every extra imaginable - lovely decor, waffle maker, games cabinet, water shoes, cozy beds, and wonderful views of the lake (just to name a few). The house was very clean and just as described in the listing. There's a new swing near the shore as well. If we're ever in the area again, we will definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!!

We built this cabin in 1982 and have been enjoying it ever since! It has been the perfect family spot. However, because we do not get a chance to use it as much as we would like to, we look at this as an opportunity to share our home away from home with others.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We love St. Martin's Bay! We love that this 'secluded' location is still only 2 miles from the expressway (I-75) and within 20 minutes of St. Ignace and Cedarville! We love that you can bring your ATV's out here and not have any issues (and be right next to some of the best trails in the EUP). We love that the cottage is off the beaten path and that it's not 'Too nice' to stay in, but rather, 'very comfortable'. Mostly, we love that one can be as active or inactive as they want!

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

There are so many things to see and do in this area! Knowing that you can leave from the cottage on an ATV, a bicycle or in a car and be able to hit a trail or a main highway is a very unique thing! So, why not take advantage of the opportunity to stay at the 'VanKamp' and make your own memories.
Being so close to the area attractions is an added bonus! Many of our past guests visit Mackinac Island, Tahquamenon Falls, and many other attractions within a few days.
