Very clean, very well-stocked home with a cozy-cabin sort of feel to it. There is really nothing missing that you can think of, as the host has supplied nearly everything for her guests. Susanâs communication is great and Iâm sure if there had been an issue (there was not!), she would have helped immediately! The only thing that Iâd mention would be a lac of AC, and with Canada wildfire smoke blowing in during our stay, we had to close the windows and not take advantage of a nice breeze. The interior of the house got pretty warm because of this. (Obviously, wildfires in Canada is no fault of the host)When you get to the beach, the view of the Mackinac Bridge is really amazing. The beach is accessed via a path and id say about 50 yards or so. The little deck area with chairs and fire pit is super nice down there, and the beach itself is lovelyAll in all, a great stay at a very nice place. Recommend when in the area!
We love this property; it has everything you need for a fantastic getaway! The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils / cookware, soft fresh towels, beautiful views of the bridge, peace & quiet! We have stayed here previously and it never disappoints. One of our favorite places to stay when we head up north.
A beautiful property that is well furnished and well kept. A 50 yard walk and you're on the shore of Lake Superior with a nice view of the Mackinac bridge. Within 10 minutes from the ferry to Mackinac Island, shopping and dining options. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
We came back this year, and had a fabulous experience again! We spent time visiting the island for bike riding and touring both St. Ignace and Mackinac!
Super cute place. Very nice! We were exhausted after exploring each day and never made it to the beach to see the view but weâd surely visit again. Thank you so much! Very clean. Beautiful place.
Beautiful home with a lovely owner/host. Throughly enjoyed our stay. Check in and out was easy, walk to the water with the amazing Mighty Mac easily viewed.
Great place to stay. Quiet, great views of the straights and ironically it wasn't to windy at the firepit even tho it was on the straights. The owner was available and very helpful with figuring out what to do. We will be staying here again if we go back.
Our group of friends thoroughly enjoyed our five night stay. Susan is a great host and made sure that we had everything we needed. The guest house was comfortable and well appointed. We felt right at home. The location is perfect with breathtaking views of the Mighty Mac. We had so much fun that we already booked for next year!
Great place, very clean, well maintained and equipped with all you need to relax! Our decision was a good one, for sure, as we also had a Labrador travel partner. Decided to cook breakfast and dinner ourselves, kitchen was well equipped with everything you could need. The Weber grill, fire pit and patio were very comfortable to use & enjoy. If I had one complaint, the access to the lake and view were in the rear of the owners property. Although a short walk, we felt awkward walking through their property.
This vacation rental was as described and was well stocked with supplies. It was a very quiet location but still a convenient location to boat service to Mackinaw Island, downtown St. Ignace for meals and shopping and to bridge to get to Mackinaw. Would definitely recommend staying here.
It was a excellent place. Perfect us 6 ladies. Very handy to the ferry and for getting a few groceries. Lovely, clean place. Many nice touches. NO complaints. Janet
The home was beautifully decorated and furnished for every comfort. The kitchen well stocked for cooking and a lovely gas stove that was a delight to cook on. The bathrooms were stocked with every convenience and detail thought of for a guest's comfort. Communication was quick and easy. Directions and home instructions were clear. Close to Sheplers Ferry to go to Mackinac Island. The bridge view was exquisite, viewable with a short walk down the hill. Private cabin and close to town. A true treasure.
Communication was quick and easy. Directi I
Every single thing was top notch: the view, beds, decor, and houseware, and even firewood and smores, Susan provides everything for the best VRBO you may ever have.
As a child, my parents would take all of us to the Upper Peninsula for vacations. I will never forget sitting in our family station at night just watching the Bridge. And then there were the trips to Mackinac Island aboard the ferry and riding our bikes around the island. Well time passes and I moved to California because of my job. When my husband and I were traveling in our motor home, I decided to treat my husband to the wonders of the Upper Peninsula. Of course, he thought of Michigan as if everything was like Detroit. He fell in love with Saint Ignace and the rest is history.
The location is perfect for visiting Mackinac Island, shopping in downtown Saint Ignace, driving to Tahquamenon Falls State Park. Plus can you imagine making s'mores at your bonfire in the evening.
