This cozy retreat features a queen-size bed with blackout curtains in the bedroom and a full-size pull-out sofa in the living room, making it perfect for couples. Start your mornings with fresh farm eggs from our free-ranging chickens and enjoy a cup of coffee brewed with the provided drip coffee pot, stocked with regular and decaf options, plus sugar, creamer, half and half, and stevia to suit your taste.
Relax on the back porch as you watch deer wander by in the morning and take in breathtaking sunsets in the evening. Conveniently located just 13 miles from Fredericksburg’s Main Street and the 290 Wine Road, the Y Knot Cabin is also a quick 10-minute drive to the historic town of Luckenbach. Don’t miss dining at the renowned Alamo Springs Café or exploring Old Tunnel State Park, lovingly known as The Bat Tunnel. Wonderfully Furnished and Perfectly Quiet

We wanted a really quiet place to stay for a weekend getaway, and Y Knot Cabin did not disappoint. Randy & Michelle were very communicative throughout the entire weekend (in a positive way, not an oppressive/pushy way). The property is lovely, and the cabin was just perfect. The kitchen was wonderfully well stocked (oils/seasonings/honey/dishware/coffee pot/pots & pans), and the fresh eggs in the fridge were a really nice touch. All of the linens were in good shape, the bed and furniture was perfectly comfortable. We really enjoyed staying here and talked about wanting to return (which seems to be a common theme from the other reviews and the guest book).Thanks!

Exceeded Expectations!

Randy’s cabin is a total gem! Exceptionally clean, spacious, and with beautiful views. If skies are clear you will have spectacular stargazing opportunities and you will see deer - lots of ‘em - all over the area. It’s located about 20 minutes from Fredericksburg so you can enjoy that quaint town and then sleep in the country, with the windows open, and enjoy the sounds of the nearby rooster doing his thing each morning- but not too loudly. Randy is a superb host and we enjoyed our stay immensely. Highly recommended!!

After moving to Alamo Springs in 2014, we fell in love with the peaceful hill country views and the unique charm of this area. We knew we wanted to share our love for this tranquil paradise with others, which inspired us to build a bed and breakfast on our property. It's been a joy to welcome guests to our slice of heaven, sharing the natural beauty, serene atmosphere, and quiet moments we cherish every day. Seeing others enjoy this special place as much as we do has been a truly rewarding experience.

After spending our entire lives in the Houston area, we decided to embark on a new adventure in Fredericksburg. The quiet hill country views of Alamo Springs immediately won us over, offering the peace and beauty we had been searching for. Every day, we find joy in watching and feeding the whitetail and axis deer, and our approximately 30 free-ranging chickens and four playful Nigerian dwarf goats add an extra touch of charm to our lives.
We’re proud to share this special place we call home with our guests at the Y Knot Cabin. Our passion for wine and our work with Fiesta Winery bring us closer to the vibrant wine culture that makes Fredericksburg so unique. For us, this journey is about more than just a change of scenery—it’s a celebration of the simpler, sweeter things in life.
