My husband and I came to Fredericksburg for a short stay to celebrate our 46th wedding anniversary. The bed was comfortable, and the small unit had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The only thing we would like for it to have been ideal is a corner floor lamp, or better ambient light. We are both readers, and the lighting in the living room was not conducive to that. But fine overall.
This was a perfect place to stay. It was close to 290, so we could easily head into Fredricksburg or out to the vineyards. It was quiet with off the street parking. We will stay again.
Stayed the night for my wifeâs birthday. Fredericksburg is our favorite place to visit, and this is now our favorite place to stay there! So close to everything while being tucked away off of Main Street just enough to get the outdoorsy cabin vibes as well. Thanks to the gracious hosts, Ted and Leah, who went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful stay. We will be booking with them again very soon!
Everything was as described online. We were about 7 minutes from downtown, driving. There were dead batteries in one of the remotes but not a big issue. They responded quickly, but maybe leave an extra set in a drawer with a note of where to look. There was someone staying next door and they were early birds and I could hear them talking on the porch while I slept on the couch. This is me being picky, my stay was fantastic and the inconveniences with the batteries and talking were minimal. There were two tvs and had there not been well that would have been a different story.
It was the perfect size, very clean, a 2 min drive from the main hub on Main st and 10-15 mins from wineries. It was a wonderful experience đ The hosts are lovely, quick to respond and very friendly
This place was AWSOME! We had a great time in the area, but the cabins were comfortable everting work and the beds just right for sleep. This place bet anything we have every stayed at. Thanks Ted!!!!!
My wife Leah and I have fallen in love with Fredericksburg and our Abby's Place! The orginal rock house was built in the 1880s and expanded in 1920s. This is part of a larger complex that was expanded in the 1990s on an acres. Lots of charm and comfort to start with and then we had such fun lovingly furnishing and decorating each of the 5 units with a different theme that seemed fitting. The whole complex has 5 bedrooms (2 kings and 3 queens) with 5 bathrooms and 5 separate living rooms, each with a sofa sleeper. Although this property is adjacent, you will your privacy and quiet. We have listings that allow you to stay in 1 suite or to rent several together for your group to enjoy time together. Look for our other listings! The whole complex sits on an acre with plenty of space to sit outside at night by the fire and gaze at the Texas stars!
Abbyâs Place is conveniently located in town near the heart of the shopping but it sits on an entire acre of land with a windmill! We love sitting outside in the rocking chairs in the morning sipping coffee listening to the windmill and watching the bird. At night we love sitting outside and watching the stars. We are amazed at how many stars you can see in the sky even though you are in town. The trees provide shade during the day. Only 1 1/2 blocks off of Main Street on the east end of town. Short hop to great restaurants and shopping. Conveniently located in activities and festivals in Fredericksburg but also central to other Hill Counrty events, such as horse racing, hiking, cycling, car shows and more!
